mid to average care and concern - I didn't feel like they were truly listening to what I had to say. They just kind of blew me off.

Cindy Marino and the staff at the St Charles MO location on Bluestone really make you feel like family. The following is a story I shared shortly after I picked up my newest pair of hearing aids, which have the new Bluetooth technology. I picked them up on February 6th of this year and even now I'm still emotional about it. ______________________________ I was triggered today. When I was very young, probably about 5 years old, I got my first hearing aids. Me, age 5ish, walking out of the office at Central Institute for the Deaf: Me: "What's that?!" Parents: "Someone typing on a typewriter." Walking outside... Me: "What's that?!" Parents: "Birds chirping." EVERY sound was new. Startling, overwhelming at times, but exciting. My whole world changed that day. Me, walking out of the office at Southwestern Hearing Center today (Feb 6, 2019) - MUCH older Having just picked up some amazingly advanced and powerful new hearing aids: Me: "What's that?!" It triggered me. Didn't matter what the sound was (turned out to be the sound of a door latching shut down the hall.). But as soon as I said "What's that?!" I became so emotional. The childhood memory just came rushing back. I'm BEYOND grateful to the Owners and Staff at Southwestern Hearing Center. Cindy Marino went out of her way to help me. The sounds I'm hearing today are startling, overwhelming at times, but exciting. My whole world changed today.

Lindsey and her staff are real professionals, in a casual, comfortable setting. She has such a…read moregreat, natural rapport with Seniors, and they like her a lot! She provides a thorough free hearing exam and can provide hearing solutions that are pretty cheap, but also has many options available. For my 92-year old grandmother, who is basically deaf in one ear, we had to get a really good, reliable system that would help her. I chose to go top of the line, but was never pressured to do so. Her system takes the sound going in to the deaf ear and sends it to the hearing aid in the other ear so she doesn't have to turn her head all around to have a conversation. This is especially helpful at the dinner table, she can follow whomever is speaking with no trouble now! The best part of the system is the Bluetooth TV sound option. It pipes digital quality sound directly into the hearing aids, without having to turn the TV up to a hundred. It comes with a remote that controls the volume not only for the TV but also the hearing aids themselves! I hooked it onto a retractable ID badge holder and she wears it all day on her belt. You get free adjustments and cleanings and anytime something doesn't seem right, call the office and they get you in quickly. The best part is, Lindsey is the person you see, not just whoever is working that day, like at many other providers. I hope I never need hearing aids, but if I do, I will be calling this office for an appointment.

I had always heard Miracle Ear hearing aids were the best? So I figured their customer service…read morewould also be top notch?? WRONG! WRONG!! WRONG!!! Or is the service just top notch for "younger" people. Our friend bought his hearing aids there, spent over $5,000 CASH!! Now less than 3 years later one of them quits in the middle of the week so he takes it to the Mid Rivers Miracle-Ear store; where he is met with a man who doesn't even listen to his concern about the charger not charging well and tells him he has to send it off and it will be at least a week...A WEEK, before it will be back! So this man, who served his country and speaks at retreats will not have any help for a week. I would think there would be some type of "loaner" for lack of a better word or at least some type of speedy service, but no. I'm so disappointed Businesses that charge what they do should offer some type of customer service-definitely more than "that will be a week". What if it turns out to be something else then is he looking at another week?!?!!!! When does it end??

Dr. McIntosh has been my primary care doctor for over a decade. He is very personable and has an excellent bedside manner. He has seen me through quite a few health issues and always pops through when I've been admitted to the hospital. We don't have all the answers for my health problems but I can't say he doesn't LISTEN to every single one of them. He orders tests and refers me to specialists when needed. I've never felt misunderstood or dismissed which is not something I can say for many many specialists I've seen. To be fair, Auto Immune diseases are notoriously difficult to diagnose but I can confidently say Dr. McIntosh is doing everything he can to help me get answers. I would send anyone I know to see him without reservation. *Read up on Celiac Disease, doc! The amount of misinformation from medical professionals on this is criminal and a huge disservice to those who have it. Effects from celiac damage can spill over into almost every other part of your body. Celiac is for life and a negative blood test/scope (after a positive one) means you're doing well GF. it does NOT mean Celiac went away and you can eat what you wish! Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk (which I shockingly have to give to almost every doctor I've seen.)

I was sold after my first appointment. If you live in the St. Peters/O'Fallon area, this is your guy. If you live downtown, this is still your guy. I swear he's worth the drive. I've never had a doctor pay more attention to what I'm telling him and genuinely care about what it is that I'm saying... and that's priceless. He's also a pretty funny guy who tries to be "hip" to what's going on in the world and strikes up the funniest conversations! Dr. McIntosh is thorough and knowledgeable, and he'll get you back up and running in no time. I've seen him for typical stuff such as allergies and colds, and he makes great recommendations and always gives me tips that help me feel ten times better. I even had to call the after-hours line once with a bad sinus infection (sure he appreciated that one) and he was still as caring and attentive even though I was bugging him late at night. What puts him above all others is how he follows up and doesn't give up until you've fixed whatever the problem is. For myself, the allergy queen, he prescribed a medicine and a nose spray and had me check in with him 7 days later via the phone, and we spoke that often until he had me on a plan that was working wonders. Looks like I'll be driving that 45 minutes next time I need him!
