You get to be…read morecreative, get dirty and really get in the craftin mood and you leave with something that looks so good you will be proud to hang it in your house!! What!?!!! You come in and pick a piece of wood you want, pick a design from ones already cut or they can custom make you a design ( but you have to register for all that online before you come in) then you get to work picking your stain or colors you want to paint with, and how ever you want to make your piece....sure the employees are there to help and give pointers but for the most part your set free to craft away how ever you want! They also have glitter for that extra sparkle ( heart eyes!) Tons of fun, being creative, and finished product turns out beautiful! Love it!

Where do I begin to write this review for Burnt Glassworks? Would it be the variety of items you…read morecan make? Or would it be the phenomenal customer support from Zach and Andy? Or would it be the multiple collections of colors you can select from? Or finally would it be for the items you can buy in their mini showroom? This is the first time I had ever done something like this at the suggestion of my cousin who had also never done it before after reading reviews. She said this is what we're doing. I have to say this was probably one of the funnest events I have done in years! Being able to create something of beauty and not having talent doesn't matter because of the instructions received from Andy. Speaking of Andy, I have to say he is a phenomenal teacher! He explains things in great detail yet in such a way that he is not talking over you or above you but rather with you. He explains by example and by words. He was very patient through the process understanding had never done something like this, and allowed me to express creativity along the way. When it came to the end, describing what the opening of the boss would look like he gave me various options. I cannot commend Andy enough for his outstanding skill at working with others! Now let's talk about Zach who worked the desk and also assisted Andy. He greeted us with a smile, was very friendly and explained to us what the process was going to be. With a fantastic sense of humor and a willingness to be customer centered Zach truly made a difference today as he was the first one we worked with and the last one. From beginning to end my cousin and I had the most fantastic service! If you're looking for something fun to do, supporting a local artist, and building something with your hands, I cannot suggest coming to burnt glassworks enough !!!

I'm calling it now!! This is THE 2026 Kids Gift Trend…read more Well, at the very least, this will be my new go-to "out of the box" birthday gift for the kids in my life. The $27 kids hand building class scratches every itch that painting pottery alone never reaches. They offer a max of 4 kids per class so each group gets a lot of attention and support from the teacher in making their own little bowl. I'm so glad that there is a clay studio near the beaches!

I was invited to the Schutlz Center for a Boy Scout of America event which honors special award…read morerecipients and doubles as a fundraiser. I've been to several of these dinners over the years, and when I was a volunteer for BSA- I even helped run these functions in another council. The Scouting program has always and will always be very special to me. This location was interesting to get to- tucked back off Art Museum Dr, situated between Atlantic Blvd and Beach Blvd. Plenty of parking was available for the event and there were over 40 tables (8 seats at each table) inside the spacious room. Art adorned the hallways to other areas of the building. The event room was huge- they had three large screens set up at the front, 2 bars in each back corner and the round tables took up all the space of the room- filled tables too! They did some covid screening procedures to attend the event- filling out a questionnaire asking about any symptoms, signing that you have not come in contact and temperature screenings at the door. I am not sure if the center catered the event or if BSA hired caterers and servers- the food was what you would expect for banquet food- chicken breast, roasted potatoes and an assortment of veggies. There was bread and salad before dinner and dessert was a very good bread pudding and key lime pie (John said it was very tart). Servers could have done a better job at coordinating serving the tables- we had one salad dropped and 5 minutes later, 3 more dropped and 10 minutes later the other 4 salads finally made it to the table. The main dish was a little faster coming out, but still 2 were served first, then another 2 then the remaining 4. Compared to the previous numerous years- this location was more comfortable to enjoy the event at and parking was closer to the entrance. I hope the BSA continue to use this venue for future events.

Not to say that none of the teachers really communicate well I did try to ask a question and the teacher was like I am not at my computer isn't that your job and lack of help on papers. I have nothing good to say about this place.
