The shop attached is so cute! The coffee was wonderful and the caprese sandwich was delightful too!

While changing his diaper in the restroom, my son began showing signs of an asthma attack. He has severe asthma, and I immediately rushed him to the car to get his inhaler. In the stress of the moment, I unintentionally left the store with several stuffed animals still in the stroller. As soon as I realized what had happened, I called the store to explain and let them know I would return the items. I mistakenly contacted the West Jordan location instead of the Sandy store and was unfamiliar with the exact city when asked. I intended to return the items after work at 5:00 p.m.; however, at exactly 5:00, I received a call from a police officer informing me I was being accused of shoplifting and needed to return immediately. I fully cooperated and brought back every item as fast as I could. Unfortunately, despite explaining the medical emergency and my efforts to correct the mistake, I was met with a lack of understanding and was issued a citation. The owner explained she was a mom herself with a child that had asthma so I was very shocked to see the coldness and lack of understanding. I cooperated the whole entire time and apologized multiple times This was an honest mistake made during a medical emergency involving my child. And when I told her that she said "well you were at a pharmacy" as if that's the same as a hospital. I acted promptly per my motherly intuition and I to took full responsibility and returned everything immediately, and I hope other parents can understand how quickly situations like this can unfold. I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially those shopping with young children.

Lot of stuff. Lots of stuff…read more A Japanese version of a Dollar Tree, sort of. Except all of the goods are good to high quality since it's Japanese made. I don't know where to begin. They have tons of things, things that you knew about and want and things that you didn't know existed and now need. They have Japanese snacks and a limited amount of groceries, mostly drinks and ramen. They have a selection of Japanese pens! I bought one. Can't pass up a Japanese pen. Large store, well-lit. One employee to man the register, she was friendly. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

I bought a few things for a small gift basket that included some of the things I mentioned above. An $8 individual ceramic hot pot type bowl that you can heat directly on your stovetop. It had a beautiful cherry blossom design. I also got a chopsticks set, and bamboo hot pad for setting hot pots or pans on. The cashier was kind enough to open the box for me so I could inspect the hot pots for damage. As other people have mentioned, it's like an Asian version of our dollar tree store, only Daiso prices range from $2.25-$18. It's very organized and clean. They have so much variety from toys, to stationary, gardening items, organizing items, laundry items and so much more. It's definitely worth a visit to browse everything they have to offer.

The location is easy to find if you enter the mall through the container store. They lost a star because there were 4 sales reps talking amongst themselves and it took them what felt like too long to greet me and then when they gathered the items that I was there to pick up 2 couldn't figure out how to check me out. I guess this is to be expected at a mall shop.

So much stuff - Apparel, jewelry, blankets and other home decor, toys, treats, and about a bajillion other things for fan favorites such as Star Wars, Bob's Burgers, Harry Potter plus tons of Disney stuff, and TOTORO! There are more obscure pop culture icons represented as well, but the majority are easily recognizable. Prices are average, and I can't say much about service since I didn't buy anything, but there were two employees working, one who was busy, and another who just stood at the cash register and eyed customers. I caught her eye, she looked at me for a moment, but didn't say a word. Still, I think this poor customer service is just how retail is, and I need to stop being surprised by it. They didn't have what I was looking for, and I'm not super into the majority of this stuff, so I don't know how often I'll return for myself, but it would be a fantastic place to shop for a gift.
