In the [redacted] years I've lived in Nashville, I've never noticed Private Edition. I mean, I…read more*guess*, I sorta did as I flew* up and down Hillsboro. I recall spying out of the corner of my eye a shopping center that wasn't a mall. But, being that I shy away from shopping as a rule, it was unlikely that I would stop at a place not connected to other places so as to make any shopping I *had* to do efficient and time effective. So, no stops at the place I sorta paid attention to for [redacted] years. Is that clear? But then a time came when my reluctance to shop was paired with my refusal to be around people and my need to buy presents. You keeping up with all this? I know it's a lot. So, factors in place, I needed options. It was then that I sorta remembered this place in Green Hills that *might* have some things I could use/buy/ship and I got to searching the interwebs to make sure of it. I was in the market for fancy lotion. I knew I was in the right place because the 'lotion' was called 'moisturizer.' I really got the hint when I saw the price point. This isn't Jergens, folks. Thankfully, in addition to a picture and price point, the inventory came with copy. I could read flowery language that made me feel good about the purchase I was to make. I mean that sincerely. If you're going to drop coin on a luxury, you should know what you're getting. I felt as though I was reasonably informed enough to know what I was getting. I picked the product, ordered, paid, had it shipped, and tracked the shipping like a hawk. I was determined not to let this magic cream fall victim to a porch pirate. It arrived. It was opened. It was oohed and ahhed. It was worth the money. *I would never do that...

I'll be…read moregoing back later this month for a more traditional visit, but I had to share this first experience because it says so much about the people behind this business. I had originally purchased tickets for a collaborative event between Tijon and a local boutique to celebrate my friend's birthday. Unfortunately, we never received the last-minute cancellation notice from the organizer. So there we were--standing outside a closed boutique with no sign or update--unsure what to do next. We called Tijon to see if they knew anything, and that's when we spoke with Meredith, one of the owners. After hearing what happened, she immediately invited us to her shop and said she'd still host the perfume portion for us. Even though her store was already closed for the evening, she went above and beyond to make sure we didn't leave disappointed. Meredith welcomed us so warmly and created an incredible, personalized perfume-making experience--without rushing us for a single second. There was a huge variety of essential oils and scent blends to choose from, and she guided us just enough to help us create something beautiful (and not a "hot mess"!). We even got to make a full-sized bottle of our custom perfume, which I wasn't expecting! The bottles are a great size, the sprayers work perfectly, and my scent lasts a long time. I can't say enough good things about Tijon Nashville. Meredith's kindness turned a disappointing situation into one of the best experiences we've had in a long time. I'll definitely be returning soon--and bringing more friends with me!

If you live in town or visiting do not buy from the store BEWARE…read more They sold my husband old bottle of flowerbomb. It wasn't the pale pretty pink we are used to seeing it was a dark amber color and the scent was off. I left a message with the store manager I finally got a text back they mentioned its a natural for the color to change. It's only natural to change if it's stored in properly but even a two to three year old perfume would not be that dark. I felt that they would make it right but the resistance to not helping was strong I thought maybe they would make it right figuring maybe it was stored in properly which caused the perfume to turn to a dark amber color but sadly I'm stuck with perfume or the scent is not the same as the ugly brown color buyer beware.
