The staff is VERY friendly, but the arepas lacked flavor and are dry. I like Mary's arepas more.

This is a 2 part review. The first time I was here, my wife…read moreand I went for lunch. It wasn't busy when we first got there, however it started picking up. The decor takes you right to island vibes. The music, the small trinkets that remind you of Puerto Rico are all here. The aromas in the air will have you drawn in. Our trip we had the roasted pork, and cube steak. My roasted pork was very flavorful. The rice reminded me of my grandmother's rice. The beans are amazing to say the least. I want the recipe! Tostones were fresh and hot! Made to order. The sweet plantain was the same. This last trip was today. Sundays are super busy! It was nice to see all the tables full and watching the family move in unison to get the customers taken care of. I ordered my food to go so I sat at the bar and waited for my food. Jessica the owner greeted me and was super attentive. Even when the hustle and bustle started she still checked on me. Today we ordered the pork chop dinner with rice and sweet plantain. I had the pork chunks with rice and beans along with tostones. We also had an alcapurrias that was delicious and flavorful. If you're looking for a true Puerto Rican restaurant that gives you all the feels along with great food and hospitality.....This is it!

The inside is a decent size with tables and chairs. It was clean, and it smelled so good. I loved the murals on the wall and the authentic feel. Our service was great. The food. The food. I ordered the empanadas, chicken and beef. They were perfectly fried and seasoned so well. The roasted chicken was deliciously flavorful, and that roasted crisp from the skin was on point. The rice, the beans, the pork.. listen, every single thing was full of flavor and so darn good. I enjoyed my meal and cannot wait to go back. This may be the best Puerto Rican food in the Midlands.
