That loyalty made my most recent visit all the more disappointing. I had a 10:50am appointment. The day before, Felicia texted asking if I could push to 11am. I said I'd try to rearrange my plans. She replied: "let's keep the 10:45." I managed to move things around (because if she was asking, I figured she was in need, and I wanted to help) and arrived at 10:57 -- 7 minutes late by the original booking, not 15. When I walked in, Felicia told me I was 15 minutes late. I explained I'd rearranged my schedule to accommodate her request. She shrugged and said "too bad, I already booked someone afterwards.". It wasn't until I was in the room that I checked the reminder email -- original appointment: 10:50. So by her own scheduler, I was 7 minutes late, not 15. Felicia eventually gave me an extra 5 minutes to make up for the mix-up, and I appreciated that. But the cold, dismissive way she started the appointment stayed with me. That's not how you treat someone who's followed you for 15 years. Part of why I see Felicia specifically -- and not one of those high-volume places with curtain walls and hospital beds for tables (you know the ones) -- is the whole experience. A facial should be calming and restorative, and Felicia's warmth has always been as much a part of that as her technique. When that warmth disappeared at the door, it colored everything that followed. The facial itself was top notch. Felicia is genuinely skilled, stays current on products and techniques, and can deliver a top-notch treatment in her sleep. I hope this was an off day, because the person that greeted me at the door was not the warm person that I've been loyal to for a decade and a half.

But then when I got into the actual facial procedure, it didn't go so well. I was assigned someone named Kyung. She used the needle/lancet A LOT. I had maybe one stubborn, deeper pimple, but the fact that she used a needle to puncture and squeeze a bunch of spots caused a lot of scarring/hyperpigmentation that's taken me over two weeks now to exfoliate and get rid of, and its not yet near to being clear. If their smaller ones that can be squeezed then a lot is normal- but the needle was used probably over 20 times. Not only that, but every time she spoke, it was always an attempt to get more money. First, it was asking if I wanted to buy a package or some sort of membership. She asked twice and kept on being pushy as she was doing the procedure. Next, she asked me to tip at least twice as well, and reminded me several times, even got the physical sign with her venmo/PayPal and showed it to me, to make sure I understood. Note that maybe had we made other small talk, then maybe, just maybe the way she was so pushy and trying to get more money out of me would be fine, but it was really every moment she spoke was an opportunity to get more money. It's a horrible feeling. That said, I wouldn't recommend trying, unless perhaps you're fluent in Korean and could veer the conversation to other things or speak more firmly when sold to.

What impressed me the most was how carefully they analyzed my facial expressions before doing anything. They didn't just inject in the usual spots. They actually asked me to make different expressions--raising my eyebrows, frowning, relaxing my face--and watched closely to see exactly where the muscles were working. Based on that, they explained where Botox would help and, just as importantly, where it was not necessary. That level of detail made me feel very comfortable because it was clear they were focused on natural results rather than simply using more product. I especially appreciated that they were conservative and thoughtful with the injections. They avoided placing Botox in areas that didn't truly need it, which made me feel like I was in very honest and experienced hands. Another pleasant surprise was how little the injections hurt. I was honestly expecting it to be more uncomfortable, but the technique was so gentle that it was much easier than I imagined. Overall, the entire experience felt very professional, careful, and trustworthy. I had the absolute best experience at Chanel Jenae's Beverly Hills salon, where I got the Red Carpet Treatment facial at the Arcona Studio--the same one that celebrities get before the Oscars and other major events. And let me tell you, it completely lived up to the hype! Chanel is an incredible friend of mine, and I'm so grateful to her for introducing me to this amazing treatment. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. The esthetician was incredibly skilled, friendly, and professional, making sure I was comfortable every step of the way. The treatment itself was amazing--my skin was instantly brighter, smoother, and completely refreshed. It's exactly what I needed as I gear up for a weekend packed with celebrity-filled events in LA and next week's Radiant Health Centers Gala in Anaheim. One of the biggest highlights was experiencing the Arcona skincare line, which truly works wonders. It left my skin feeling hydrated and glowing, and I love that their products are available at Nordstrom, select retailers, and directly on their website, so I can keep up the results at home. If you're looking for a facial that delivers real results and makes you feel red carpet-ready, I can't recommend this place enough. Chanel has created something really special, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit! read more

I came in for a facial but unfortunately due to a skin issue I was unable to get a facial that day (WILL BE BACK when my face heels) Alyson was so helpful and I went from sad that I couldn't get a facial (I have heard raving reviews from all of my friends) to happily leaving with an in home "mini facial." When I got home, I tried the products and I cannot give them enough praise. They all feel so light on your skin but you can really feel them working. Alyson gave me a step by step guide on what to use and it was so nice to be able to still try the Arcona experience at home. I cannot wait to go back in and get a facial with them because the studio looks so clean organized, and relaxing. read more

I have pretty bad decision paralysis, and after searching Yelp and Google, I decided to come here…read morebecause of the great reviews about Miri. When I called to make an appointment, the person on the phone wasn't very warm and sounded really annoyed to even have to talk to me. I assumed it was just a receptionist but it turned out to be Reyna. I booked a 60 minute Swedish massage and a clarifying facial. My facial with Miri wasn't at all like I expected it to be. I have some pretty dark scarring from the extractions and I'm worried it'll lead to bad hyperpigmentation. She also kept trying to upsell (I did end up doing the microdermabrasion for + $20) but I was uncomfortable with the 3+ times she suggested to bring me back in for some facial waxing. I know I have peach fuzz, but I don't really mind it. I don't think women should have to be so self conscious about it. I didn't realize that the cold voice on the other end of the phone would be my masseuse, Reyna. It was extremely difficult to relax due to the setup of the place, the reception and lobby area were right next to the room and all I could hear were really loud conversations. The ambient nature noises in the massage room did not help. It was actually pretty upsetting that what was meant to be a nice and serene escape from life was... just... not. I told her I've been having extremely tense shoulder and neck pain and did circle those on the chart. My favorite place to go to for massages is G-Medical Massage Spa in Long Beach, but I couldn't make the drive out this week. So, I have a comparison to work off of in terms of the quality of body work and actually feeling some relief post-visit. My shoulders were still tense since she didn't really use enough pressure nor did it feel like she was tuned into my body the way that I've had other masseuses tap in. Considering her coldness towards me from the jump (aside from the lukewarm forced smile before showing me the massage room), I didn't feel comfortable speaking up about any adjustments I wanted. Would you? Also would have expected a comfier lobby. It was hot, not aesthetically pleasing, and it would've been nice if they had cold water. They had some room temp bottled water... but something as simple as a dispenser of cold cucumber water makes a huge difference. 3/5, did not live up to expectations. Regret spending my money here. It was meant to be a special post-grad treat to myself but I feel like I didn't get the pampering I expected for the price point.

Then, I've been to skin care professionals which are too harsh and leave me terrified and with scars on my face - too intense. My problem isn't severe. Not a good look or feeling. I think lots of people can relate to the endless search. FINALLY I tried Asta & I couldn't be happier. I feel like she got my skin to where I want it to be, clear and new. The first appointment she suggested a pumpkin peel since my skin was so congested. I was nervous and scared since I'd never done a peel but she explained why it would help. I trusted her and it did!
