I love a good G&T, and have to say The Arbtrager do a really good gin and tonic!
I found this place through the Drinki app. It's a very small narrow bar, but I liked it. It was decorated in a mcro brewery style, with lots of copper. I also liked the fact that it was a lot quieter than most of thebars in the area, as it is tucked away nicely behind The Bank of England at Drapers Hall, on Throgmorton Street. Unless you know about this place, it is easy to miss as the entrance looks like the door to an old office block.
The staff were very pleasant and explained that they make their own tonic water (which is on draught). The us lemongrass in it, which I felt gave it a nice twist. The gin they use is Portobello Gin, which is also one of my favourites. The dink was also servce with a slice of buby red grapefruit. All in all it was apleasurable G&T experience. They also seem to have a large selection of craft beers on offer too.
Would I come back here, most certainly! read more
