I was directed to a little pond/lake not too far away and I spoke with the woman who works here or owns the place (I wasn't sure. She's super sweet and funny) and I purchased an umbrella that at the time I'm sure my spouse thought was a funny thing (he's hardcore lol) but my very white baby was gonna burn like an egg in a hot frying pan if I didn't. I also got the cutest bonnet for her. My kid caught herself a fish in 10sec from the first cast at that spot and a few more to follow. Those were the best darn worms my money could buy. 5 stars

FINALLY got their attention, I looked at couple different pistols, told the female, ok, I will take this one. Male worker RUDELY stated " you are buying it now?" I said "yes", handed him my drivers license, he RUDELY asked "well, is your address correct?" I said yes. I walked to the register to start my paperwork with the female. My husband asked the young male to look at a shotgun, the young male made sure it was clear, my husband made sure it was clear, then my husband pointed it up at the lights to get the feel, the young male all but yelled that he couldn't do that.. to the extent several of us all turned to look what was going on. My husband handed it back. The female was starting my paperwork & asking me if I knew their policy on returning firearms, that there is no returning them. I said "ok", he attitude just continued to be bad, I looked at my husband and said I don't have to get another gun today, I'll buy one somewhere else, and that this was (sorry) bullshit. I got my license, we starting walking to the front of the store & the young male actually came running towards us, moving his hand in a sweeping motion, told us to just leave the store & not to come back. I was astonished... my husband starting saying "hey buddy, what is your name" they young male took off running & hid. We did ask to speak with the manager. Jordan was the managers name & he listened intently. We will NOT shop at another Academy & recommend no one to shop at Academy in Ardmore Oklahoma.

Update of previous review:…read more RE: IT SMELLS BAD Over the last few weeks, this place just flat out stinks outside. They've been remolding for a couple months. The smell was so bad today, I couldn't even buy gas. I have no clue what the inside is like since they began the remodel. I only hope it doesn't stink inside. At first I thought it was possibly a cow farm? But as it continues to smell, I think they have a busted septic tank. I can't call it, but sure does stink. Smells like gas - like someone HAD BAD GAS aka tooted.

And the entrance to the guys bathroom is visible, but the entrance to the women's bathroom is a bit difficult to see unless you're facing the front of the store. So she runs up front to ask where the bathroom is, they tell her "it's there under the sign." She says "it's guys only. " instead of saying it's to the left of the guys, they don't say anything. The kids mom found it and directed her to it.
