Since March, I've been dealing with ongoing noise disturbances from the upstairs neighbors. While it's off and on, the disruptions seem intentional -- often running, stomping, dropping items, moving furnitures, yelling, and screaming, sometimes in the middle of the night around 2:30 a.m. I've made numerous documented complaints to the property office, called security multiple times, and even provided video evidence in person, as the office said they would create a folder to track the incidents. Over several months, I was told different things by the office staff: * Initially, they said violation letters were sent. * Later, they said they could no longer issue violation letters and would send legal letters instead. * Most recently, an office employee told me they were waiting on guidance from their legal team to determine next steps. Eventually, I received an email from the landlord's attorney after I had sent an email to the office, stating that nothing further was required from me and that they were "working on a solution." I followed up for clarification, but I have never received a direct response from management themselves -- only conflicting information from the employee and then silence from their attorney. Meanwhile, the noise continues, and there has been no real resolution despite months of emails, calls, and evidence. I have all the documentation, emails, and videos to show the ongoing problem and lack of meaningful action. It's incredibly frustrating to pay rent for a home where you can't enjoy basic peace and quiet, and where management avoids direct communication and fails to provide a solution. If you value a peaceful living environment and responsive management, I would STRONGLY caution you before moving here. read more

I walked into the leasing office about an hour ago, and instead of a simple "hello" from the two young leasing agents, I got nothing--just a look up and down from Patricia. I brushed it off and told her I was looking for a 2-bedroom unit. After going over availability (only one unit left), it was clear I was just a bother to her. When I asked for a quote, she told me, "Oh, we can't create a quote," and instead insisted that I type on my phone or write down the details in myself. I've toured plenty of luxury apartments, and I've NEVER had a leasing office tell me they can't generate a quote. But whatever. Then I asked to see the amenities, and the whole time, she seemed super bothered to even be helping me. Not sure why? But yeah--property management really needs to stop hiring these young leasing agents who think their office job is some high-level corporate position and act like they're above the people coming in. This will be the 5th year I'm living here. I was in a 1 bedroom and had to moved into a 2 bedroom for more space. Emily was amazing! The move in-process was so smooth and she always made sure I was doing okay and kept me updated with info. I would recommend Emily if you want to tour the apartment complex. The facilities team is amazing too! If I had something wrong in my apartment, they always come and fix it. I also love they always update the community with events coming up or on property and important info! They just recently installed new lights in the parking lots, such a good touch. my boyfriend and I had been searching for apartments for a few months. Our previous apartment complex had some problems and the office staff was just so rude. When we came across The Alcove we honestly fell in love. We love the floor plan, it's spacious, and they're pet friendly. Isabella helped us with the whole process of paperwork and got us the apartment we wanted. When we moved in we noticed there were a few problems with the apartment we got, there were a few things that had not been repaired before we moved in. My boyfriend went to the office and let them know, instead of arguing with us like our previous apartment complex Isabella was very understanding and let her manager know and they made things right. Maintenance here is pretty quick with it Jeremy and the gentleman he was with i kinda forgot his name but they both fixed my washer and dryer very fast! They were also respectful of the place because we were unprepared and the place was a mess since we just moved lol. ***To any and all interested future tenants: PROCEED WITH CAUTION.*** I lived at the Alcove with my boyfriend in 2022. I've waited to post my unfiltered review of the place, partly because I have hardly anything good to say, and also because life simply got in the way. But, here goes. The management here is atrocious. They try to operate as if they're a trendy, bougie team at a luxury apartment complex. The truth is, they'll do the bare minimum for tenants in order to slide under the radar of the owners of the building. They don't care about tenant satisfaction. They drag their feet when anything needs to get done (for example, the jacuzzis that STILL don't seem to have heating well after a year since we moved out). If you need to set up a face-to-face meeting with anyone in the leasing office, good luck, because despite the office hours clearly marked on the door, they love to run late. My boyfriend and I were supposed to have a garage added to our rental, and management took so long getting us one, we simply gave up. But here's the REAL kicker... we were ensured a unit in the main building near the leasing office and main pool/gym area, with views of the mountains OR Vegas strip, and guess what? Shortly before move-in day, Jezz (she's the employee who managed our entire leasing agreement), told us there was a last-minute change to our unit. Instead of being in the main building, we were moved to the farthest and dirtiest one, with views of a barren dirt field construction site from our balcony, and... (drumroll, please)... A MASSIVE BANNER ADVERTISEMENT covering the outside of our entire living room window. I've attached photos as an example. I spoke with the leasing office several times about the banner, asking if they could please move it or at the very least lower our rent, since the unit we were given ended up not being at all what we were promised when we signed our lease. Jezz and her supervisor Darlene (who eventually left The Alcove, and Jezz was ironically promoted to her position a few weeks after this interaction), refused to compromise one bit. They simply blamed it on the owners, and gaslit me when I showed them the photos of the window, saying things like, "the camera makes it look worse," and, "lots of units have banners blocking the windows". No, they do not. There are maybe 2-3 other units TOPS affected by the banner. They left my boyfriend and I no choice but to roll over and accept the shitty circumstances, since we needed a place to live. Reading current reviews of The Alcove now, it looks like things have only gotten worse since we left. I remember speaking to a tenant who had been there for over 20 years, and she flat-out told me the old management was eons above what it is now. It's completely shameful how Jezz and her team operate their offices. They are blatantly unprofessional and clearly trying to relate to younger tenants while also completely screwing them over. I'm hoping that any interested tenants who read this will think twice about moving here. I don't take writing negative reviews lightly, but my experience greatly warranted one. read more

Hey All, Lived here for almost a year and here to leave my review and post until my apartment is fixed. We noticed a bee hive and called the leasing office immediately we are not home to see this occurrence before but today we were home, no answer until my 4th ring at 1:50pm on a Monday(11/11/24). When I got someone on the line he did not clearly state his name and I sent in two service requests for pest control. He said he would give a call on timeline for when pest control will be on their way. No call back yet. When I went to the leasing office, no one was found except the remodeling crew. Posted 11/12/24 * On 11/12/24 a guy came and saw it was too high of a spot and would be back with his boss the next day to resolve the bees. On 11/13/24 there was no visit; I called Patricia and she made sure that pest control was gonna make it to my unit. Update: 11/14/24 the maintenance and pest control came and got 'em! I'm so grateful this was handled and will be singing praises afterwards to Patricia who made sure that the pest control was resent after the day of waiting with no visit. Pest control stated bees issue should be resolved! Rating changed after sudden action by Patricia from Leasing, Patricia made me feel heard when she said a visit should have been made to my Unit, Thank You!!! read more

I have been living in this complex for a few months, now, and felt the need to share a little bit of my experience. I looked at what feels like a thousand other apartments before deciding to go with this one, and I'm so glad I did. I've been extremely happy with this neighborhood, and with my space. I've lived in a few apartments, over the years, and this has, by far, been my favorite spot. The location is great, it's a pretty quiet neighborhood, no complaints on hearing noise from neighbors (which was one of my main concerns). All of the tenants I've ran into, thus far, have been very kind. The leasing office staff has been amazing; Emily helped with my move-in process and she really goes above and beyond for her tenants. I have also had a few minor things that needed to be fixed, in my apartment, and I couldn't rave enough about how awesome Jeremy, the maintenance guy is! He has been on top of it with his work, and is so polite and respectful. He has been so great at communicating what is being done and when. I am so happy to be a part of The Alcove community and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to move to a new place! read more

I've been renting since February of 2023 and can share pros and cons. Pros- great staff in the leasing office! Love Dane and everyone I've talked to there really. Cons- Really dirty floors, no assigned parking and the lots are always full. Because there's no where to park delivery people are always parked in non parking areas. My biggest complaint is that I've had maintenance visit over 10 times since I've been here. One leak was so bad I could barely use my only bathroom for an entire month. They sent the maintenance team over multiple times, once the maintenance person only opened the air conditioner to let out a ton of water on the floor and left without cleaning it up, or fixing the issue. I emailed management to let them know my son had injured himself slipping on the water, that I couldn't have guests over the entire month, and it was a huge inconvenience in many ways. The manager wrote me a rude email and told me to call my rental insurance and that leaks happen all the time in apartments. No discount or offer to wave my high water bill for the month was offered, even through the apartment was semi inhabitable in the only bathroom. I have never received such awful customer service from a rental company. read more

Me and my family are over it. Where do I start? We moved in January 2023 and we're told they are renovating the pool, community room, and gym for the summer time. Summer comes around and nothing was done. The pool was ALWAYS dirty, and I mean Always. I never saw it clean since we moved in. Constantly covered in algae with dirt and bugs floating in it. Something was constantly wrong with the jacuzzi. Either it was filthy or broken and roped off. I honestly should have tested it for bacteria while it was open because there's no way it was clean. They still managed to close the pool frequently for "cleaning". Just stuck a vacuum in it and called it a day apparently. Why can private residents afford to clean their pools thoroughly WEEKLY or biweekly and this huge complex can't even manage to clean it once in at least a year? Crazy. The furniture by the pool was broken and falling apart. One of the tables gave my toddler a splinter. Every day I walk outside and smell urine and feces because the people who live here are totally comfortable letting their dogs p*ss and sh*t ANYWHERE without cleaning it. There's actually a woman with a little French bulldog who p*sses in the same exact spot on the concrete every single day. There is a permanent stain in the concrete. Smells awful especially in the summer. I can't stress this enough, this place is COVERED in sh*t literally. The parking lot is riddled with screws and nails. Must be from contracted workers. Got in our tire and my sons stroller tire. Showed the office the collection of screws we have and nothing happened. Trade workers are required to pick up any litter they leave behind because it's hazardous. The floors will peel and lift everywhere. Nothing you can do about it besides get people to come repair it. But it'll peel again in a few weeks. The walls are like chalk boards. Everything marks it. Our kitchen drawers just fall apart constantly. Every single amenity has been unavailable for like 4 months and counting. I'm sure the excuse is that it's winter, but this means we have no access to the hot tub or fire pit. The pool area, gym, and community room are ALL closed simultaneously. It's horrible. Also, if you have any knowledge of construction you know this is not supposed to take that long. People choose to live in apartments FOR the amenities. If it opens back up and nothings improved I'll probably burst into flames lol. There's been at least two car break ins just by our building alone, so who knows how many others have been broken in to. No security or cameras of any sort, and the parking lot is accessible from the whole perimeter so it's a perfect place to break into a car. I parked and stepped out to find at least two stalls next to me covered in broken glass because the car in front of me had its window smashed in. Called the office to let them know and they said it happened in the middle of the night (it's the middle of the day so why is there still glass everywhere?) Trust me when I say you do NOT want to live here. I was so optimistic the first 6-7 months we were here but I'm so over feeling like this. It's a sh*t hole. There's no other way to put it. The staff is actually friendly and helpful too. It's a management problem that has nothing to do with them. Anyway. I can't wait to leave. Please don't move here. read more

Be weary before moving in to this declining community! Been here for about 2 years and started out as a awesome and safe place to call home. This past year (2022) it's began to quickly turn for the worse. Multiple incidents of cops being called , people stealing parking spots , and run down pool area with hot tub that has never worked. See photo below of what I found written on my storage unit and all over the doors on every floor in my building! This is the quality of life that has started to move in. One of the office managers ( Jezz/Jessamyn) was the reason I decided to move in. She was so friendly and helpful throughout the whole experience. She has answered all questions and quickly addresses any concerns I have. While there are a lot newer properties, good property managers like her are hard to find. read more

This place sucks, the alcove bought out Elysian unfortunately. Ever since they took over, rent got raised $400 a month but the value of the place decreased substantially. I'm now paying more for way less quality. Their pools have been dirty ever since the alcove took over. the hot tubs haven't been turned on and the gym looks like a wreck. I know they are going to comment on this post and say everything has been fixed but obviously nothing has been done seeing that there are prior posts describing the same situation. We have asked to get the hot tubs turned back on and pools cleaned and nothing has been done it's been over 5 months now. Also they randomly charge extra trash fees for up to $75 a month on top of our already existing overpriced trash fees. The extra trash fee is a scam, after doing some math, between all of us residents it's over $50,000 a month of extra trash fees. Please don't rent here. They don't deserve your money and they keep coming up with extra fees for everything. Our rent started at $1570 for 1 bedroom apartment without extra fees now we are up to nearly $1900 with all the extra things they keep adding on. read more

It just gets worse. So annoying how I have to go down to their office just to speak to someone because everyone in that office is incapable of answering the phone. What's the point of having telephones when NO ONE answers them EVER? Area looks great but the community is absolutely ghetto. Neighbors blasting music, yelling, arguing, loud cars. It's a complete mess and the managers don't do anything about it! Ridiculous. And that 833 number they add to "speak directly to the manager" is bullcrap, I tried calling it and it said the number was disconnected or something. Can't reach NO ONE for ANYTHING. read more

I have lived on this property for 7 years and in that time it has changed hands 3 times. When I first moved in everything was great; I was very happy. After the second ownership, there were some changes but I continued to feel like it was a great place to live. Since it has become The Alcove it has changed dramatically, and not for the better. I now have to pay for trash valet which I don't need but it was not an option, I have to pay $90 a month for cable which I did no have nor did I want; again not an option. With the first owner, when you renewed a lease you got a free carpet cleaning, not anymore. With the second owner you got a significant break on one months rent, not anymore. I have been a great tenant: paid my rent on time every month, even through the pandemic when you could avoid paying it at all! I just paid $917.00 to have my carpets and floors cleaned plus stain protection. I have never had any upgrades and very few repair requests. When I signed my last renewal, I requested new blinds. 6 years in this apartment... blinds get dirty, but was flatly denied. The office manager didn't even offer to ask the district manager. She told me she would replace any that are broken. None of them are broken! There is no security, no monitoring of tenant behavior, i.e dogs not on leashes, dogs in the pool, etc. It is very disappointing for me and frankly, had they provided me with new blinds, a simple gesture, I probably wouldn't be writing this. I guess it was the last straw. read more
