I was able to explain what was going on and what I was wanting. I sat in two students chairs. The first one was Duke, he cut my hair as well as washed it. I showed an example of what I was looking for, but I also advised that if they had to go shorter or if they couldn't achieve the look that I wanted that they can go ahead and cut as much off as needed because I'm not afraid of scissors or clippers. I didn't get the exact cut that I want, but Duke did an amazing job on my haircut. His instructor was right there, guiding him, and he followed her directions to the T. After my cut, he gave me a good hair wash And molded my hair down and sat me under the dryer. The next chair I went to was a young lady named Slim. She flat ironed my hair and gave me some curls. The only issue I had with that was the hairspray that they use, it did make my hair crunchy, and I did have to go and buy some oil sheen so that I can rake and finger comb my hair at home, I did not like the crunchiness. I prefer the soft curls as it's easier to manage for me. Other than that, she did an amazing job curling my hair, especially how short it is. She did mention it was her first time putting curls into her hair, super short, but she did a good job. The instructor, Miss E, was assisting when needed and was always close by. I was afraid of coming in because it is a school and students would be performing the work, but to be honest with you they are really good And if they are unsure of anything, they ask her instructor who would guide them or either step in. For me, it was really worth the try, because I love my hair. My haircut came out amazing.. The prices are really good as well. I would definitely be coming back.

Well they shampooed with some kind of mint shampoo. I went back to the station for blow dry and my scalp was completely red, teacher said it was from mint shampoo not color. The color didn't take at all. After spending 2 1/2 hours there she said my hair was resistant I told her it wasn't resistant the 1st time I came when Rosie prepared the formula or even when I used Loreal. Her response was it happens when we age. It has nothing to do with age its the formula she prepared. She told me to come back Thursday and she would try another formula. When my husband saw my hair he said you are not going back there again. I agree my hair is a mess and scalp is red and irritated. My hair was healthy when I went in, now it's very dry and burnt. I am using conditioning treatments to try to restore it. I am so sorry I went here. I knew it was students that did the service but that teachers oversee their work. I guess I didn't count on the teacher to be so incompetent. I learned a valuable lesson.
