They're racist and thought my sister and I were gonna steal because we said we were gonna take a look at the products. I walked in stating that I was looking for CBD products for anxiety and pain management. As soon as I said we'll take a look, and turned to browse in the store, the white lady said WE SHOULD LOCK THE DOOR to the man. The man came over maybe 10 seconds later and asked what we wanted, I told him I'm looking for strong cbd for anxiety. He recommended a few items and started off by saying "this is super expensive, it's $145" um.. ? They had pipettes there for testing but he didn't offer anything. All he kept repeating was THIS IS SUPER EXPENSIVE. My sister was carrying a large Dominique Ansel bag (6 cronuts) and I was carrying a reusable tote with groceries from Sunrise. Two takeaways: they assumed we were gonna steal as WOC, and assumed we couldn't afford their items. They can shove their CBD products. Realize that you live in NYC and not only white people will come into your store. I'll take my money elsewhere. read more

WASTE OF MONEY!!! I came in two weeks ago and asked for CBD oil to support sleep. I was advised to purchase a product which the associate herself uses and said it would leave me feeling refreshed in the morning and not drowsy. She said it was the best product to support sleep. This was appealing and I purchased the larger bottle. I was shocked that it cost $270 and the bottle itself is quite small but thought if it works then it is worth it. I was also advised to use a quarter of the dropper every night. After consistent use over two weeks, I can say with confidence that this product DOES NOT WORK! It feels like a placebo. I also gradually increased dose slowly to three quarters of a dropper and whilst this helped a little, it was no different a sleep experience compared to when I wasn't using the product. I have used products that are a third of the price and more effective. Unfortunately the store I used to purchase those products from closed down and thought I'd try this place. Also, I was told the bottle would last 4-6 months. No chance! Two months at most. But it just does not work and I feel robbed. read more

A friend recommended this shop to me, so I popped by, the next time I was in NYC. I'm so happy I did, because I had quite the lovely experience. I've been to countless "CBD" shops where reps have been under educated, on products offered; this wasn't the case @ "The 420." Immediately, I was met with personality; this shop is modern, clean, spacious and bright. All of the products were well displayed/ spaced around; there's nothing more I hate than a cluttered/ messy display, so thank you for this. This made for a much calmer shopping experience, seeing as I had more time (and space) to spend looking over products. Selection was fantastic: whether it's tinctures, candies, bath items, salves .. or even dog treats you're after, "The 420" has it. This brings me to quality; it's painfully clear, the amount of thought that goes into brand selection. Lastly, customer service. Another thing I HATE is the feeling of being pressured, while shopping; I did not feel that way IN THE SLIGHTEST, during my time here. I was immediately greeted/ cared for and had some great conversations around CBD delivery methods and fave uses. HIGHLY recommend + will be back soon. Love this store. The employees are warm and welcoming and more knowledgeable than most CBD vets. They only carry carefully curated products that they stand by which I love. Literally my go-to place anytime I'm buying a gift. Pro tip: they get new products in frequently. I have had nothing but great experiences in this store. The owners are typically there and their knowledge is off the charts. I first went in for problems relating to sleep. I was killing time in SoHo and wandered in. It just so happened that my usual supplier for CBD was having issues filling my latest order, so I decided to see what they had on offer in terms of edible CBD. The staff were all very knowledgeable about the products and uses, and guided me to a tincture that I might try in the future for anxiety purposes. I purchased a bottle of gummies, huckleberry flavor, and they're not only tasty, but quite effective. They also have CBD chocolate! Very nice set up & knowledgeable workers. I stopped in while shopping one afternoon to see what was available and came back the next day to purchase. I bought the Mark3 500ml bottle of cbd oil to later find it's about $20 cheaper on the Mark3 website. I love the effects though. I have anxiety and it at times causes me trouble sleeping. After a dropper full, I'm much calmer and drift off fairly quickly. Glad I found the shop but will be buying online going forward. read more

I went in to get CBD gummies, so I was talked into buying a specific type. The store employee herself grabbed a box w the bottle inside and rang me up and bagged the product. When I left I realized the bottle was opened and empty. Why would you leave a box out on a shelf for customers to purchase that's empty? I called and they seemed apologetic, only asked for me to take photo to send to their store email for their record which I immediately did. What's worse was when I went in the girl working kept making excuses for not exchanging the product?! She said she couldn't access the email and that the new girl probably did this, regardless there is no excuse for selling a customer a used open and empty bottle. She then proceeded to tell me that I had to wait until her manager answered or got back to her to ok the exchange, which in my opinion, is the time for you to own up and make your own decision to not waste the customer's time even further. I had already gone all the way back to their store to exchange for a product that I had purchased in full to begin with. All in all poor customer service, obv lack of communication in stocking their shelves and poor communication overall. read more
