Let me preface this review by mentioning I don't like to give a restaurants first rating a negative…read moreone as I realize and respect it's someone's livelihood. However I want to be honest. Having a hankering for some Asian noodles and wanting to try something different I though I'd give this place a chance. In Terrebonne there appears to be a decent selection of Asian food restaurants however most of it to me is Quebec Asian stir fry. What is this creation you may ask? All of these dishes such as lemongrass beef, general tao chicken, chicken thai basil, ginger beef and red and yellow curries can be found on most Quebec Asian stir fry restaurants with some differentiation from place to place but mostly they taste very similar. My preference is for more authentic Asian cuisine however many Quebeckers have taken to this type of Asian food. So restaurants copy the menus from other restaurants and you have seen this proliferate. On my first order I ordered a Pad Thai chicken plus a soup tonkonise (pho). Pad thai was of no resemblance to pad thai other than the correct style rice noodles used. It really was a stir fry with grilled chicken and a wide assortment of vegetables. It even had cucumber and fresh tomato. Flavour was okay nothing memorable, The soup had noodles, some cilantro but was in a very salty broth with well done beef. The broth had decent flavour but seemed over salted or with some MSG. I asked the owners where they were from and they mentioned Just north of Saigon. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and seemed fairly busy for a Thursday night. They do have 1/2 price your second entree on Monday and Tuesday which must be their slower nights. Price wise for my two dishes was just over $25 which is inexpensive. I may come back and try something else we shall see how adventurous I feel.

Decent Asian fusion food. They advertise as Thai however I'd call anything with a General Tao…read morechicken on the menu a QC Asian stir-fusion restaurant. Dish variety is similar to other restaurants in the area and pricing is comparable also. On my visit we had ordered takeout consisting of Pad Thai, Green curry chicken and a General Tao chicken (for my stepdaughter). I try to eat as minimal GT as possible as it doesn't excite my tastebuds. The Pad Thai and green curry were a decent 3.5/5. Portion size was bigger that other places here tend to serve. Pricing was comparable. Dishes are $10.95 - $14.95. Considering it's an apportez votre vin (bring your own wine) pricing is decent. I'm not into drinking wine with Asian food. For me it's just a weird combo. I was raised just drinking tea or water with Asian food. But here in the province they love to pair wine with any meal. Overall above average and I will come back and update the review after sampling other dishes.

Waiting to be serve, waiting the be offered more water, waiting way too long in between each…read moredishes. It was a Friday evening but that's not a reason. There's a Friday every week. Not exactly what I would call Thai food. I took the table d'hôte service. Soup was not bad, the spring rolls was really good, the main dish flavor less. Rice, salad with beef and chicken brochettes. Both meats were flavor less, dry and chewy all topped with this weird flavored chopped onions. Dessert was good, a fried banana and vanilla ice cream. Pricing not really worth it but not to much if service was better and better quality of meat. For that type of food I will continue to go where I've been before and enjoyed like Chez Papa d'Asie.
