Thaizone is the competitor for Thai Express…read more What I enjoy about Thaïzone is the interiors are fresh and clean. It adds to the dining experience! Each dish is made in front of your eyes and you can order it mild, medium, hot or extra hot. I find a bit humorous is that extra-hot to my taste buds is akin to a medium in many other restaurants (in Thailand it would be a mild-plus). "Spice heat" is a relative scale! On this meal I ordered a red curry chicken. This comes with rice and is a good sized meal for lunch and maybe a smaller amount for dinner. You can make it a combo with an Imperial roll, spring roll, soup or dumplings. Of course a Fast food Asian must have the ubiquitos General Tao's chicken (a Quebec cult classic). Menu items are limited but with each selection you can choose chicken, beef, shrimp or vegetables. You can usually get out of here for a meal with drink for sub $13-14 tax in. For me I enjoy this as a meal any day and twice on Sunday's over Subway! In comparison to Thai Express I believe the quality is similar however my preference would have to go with Thai Express! Thaïzone is however a hair close on second! Come for quick casual Asian, leave satisfied!

Driving by Terrbonne, hunger knocks the door; we stop by a Boustan. It has been a while I went to…read moreBoustan. It is a very clean, a wonderfully decorated restaurant, which surprises me for a fast food franchise spot. I was amazed by the extensive menu. As I said I have not been to a Boustan for a very long time, so it is a huge improvement. This restaurant is magnificent by its look and by its service. We were glad to meet one of the owner tonight, he was friendly, helpful and gracious. As a vegetarian person, I ordered a vegan kabab plate and my boyfriend ordered a power bowl with chicken shawarma. At 6:30 pm, you would think the food will be little old, but I was proven wrong; everything tasted fresh. I was skeptical about vegan kabab, but it was an absolute delight. My boyfriend devoured his bowl, he thought he won't be able to finish because the portion was humongous, but in the end it was an empty bowl left. When the restaurant was little slow, the owner would come out of the counter, and go by table and table ask customers how is everything which you don't see ever at a fast food branch. It was refreshing and marvelous. So if you are in Terrebonne, want something quickly, come here to enjoy a delicious pita or a plate or a power/energy bowl.

There's not much on the way up so "fast food" was probably the only option. Our family suggested Harvey's as it's a chain that we don't get in the US. I N S I D E It's your typical inside of a fast food restaurant. Ordering area, water/drink fountain on the side, lots of seating in the main area. Though after around 11:15-11:30am it was pretty busy and packed with folks eating in. M E N U There were burgers, chicken burgers, salads, and wraps. I opted for a grilled salad and my hubby a burger Now what's interesting is that you can dress your burger so it's kind of made to order. You get a choice of veggies and sauce. Then the same sauces on the burgers can be your salad dressing. The burger was interesting in terms of texture. It felt chunky like a chunky chewier tuna meat but beef. It wasn't ground meat which was a different experience. The grilled chicken in the salad was normal and the salad itself fine. S E R V I C E Since we were pretty much the first people there, we were quickly served and paid by credit card. It's the first time I've experienced having to wait at the counter after paying as they need your input to finish the order. O V E R A L L It's not a bad option for fast food. Kind of like Subway for burgers. It's not the best but it is definitely an option if you're needing something that doesn't feel too fast food like.
