The product they use is called VI Peel Precision Plus. I had some uneven skin tone with some slight to mod acne scars and some slight active acne. My aesthetician (Amber)was very friendly and said she could tell I was going to have great results because of how my skin was responding-turning red and frosting where there were some DNA-damaged cells--interesting! The product itself has a very strong chemical-ly odor which is to be expected. I was careful not to inhale it too much. I've read other reviews where they say that they had peeling here but it did nothing for them, I think it depends on how many times you've had it done--the first is always the best! Also, this brand line is good for beginners like me. Didn't burn my face off, it felt like I was blushing profusely (ergo the redness). But not uncomfortable. The peeling cost $399.00 which is expensive for me. I did do a Yelp voucher paying $75 for $100 voucher. ~$25.00 off. Not bad. I will update after a few days with final pics at the end of 7 days. I don't want to generalize the types of people who may or may not like it because everybody is different but say you're someone who values getting an appointment faster over seeing a particular doctor every time, this is great because they all have different schedules and you have a better chance of one having a last minute opening if you don't care which doctor. If you also prefer to just make your appointment online yourself and fill out all the paperwork ahead of time yourself, then this is also the place for you. Even when you check in, you talk to a "virtual" person so when I say streamlined, I mean the support staff do everything they can to maximize the doctors' productivity. Still, when you do see the doctor, it doesn't feel rushed but their policy is "one problem per visit" so I guess if you're used to a smaller practice with one or two doctors who don't bounce around between patients and offer more personal service, you might not like it here. I know one older person in my life that would probably not like them but I thought they were good.

Without knowing the doctors in the practice and not having any recommendations, I selected this office due to location to/from work and home. The parking is very convenient. The main lot is a decent size and they have additional parking in a garage that is easy to get to. I got tired of the Memorial Hermann parking, so I was careful to avoid doctors in that area. When I entered the 3 story building, I was easily able to find the listing for the Village Dermatology and located the floor I needed. 3rd floor, stepped off the elevator and the office was right there. I love convenience and ease of doctors' suites. It's already nerve racking enough going to a new doctor, I don't need the stress of parking, trying to locate the suite, etc. I was immediately greeted by the front desk attendant when I walked in and noticed the decor was almost spa like. They have products displayed on the wall and comfortable seating. I was about 15 minutes early, so I expected to wait a bit. The nurse came to retrieve me within about 5 minutes. I had some concern they might want to sell me a bunch of procedures for aging skin, or tell me about the latest advancements on cosmetic type fixes. I was very surprised that was not the case. I made an assumption based on the products sold in the reception area. I was very happy to feel it wasn't about upselling me. The waiting room had music playing, which I loved. That made me feel ore at ease. Dr. Vaughn introduced herself and we talked about the concerns. She did a full body check and addressed my questions for the moles and other skin "issues". I've never had any issues of major concern, no skins cancers, etc, but I do like to have my skin checked each year due to the moles. I want to make sure they are not growing or need attention. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Vaughn. She is very thorough, pleasant, and explains things well. Some of the things I self diagnosed were completely wrong, so I am happy I went to get checked. I feel like I made a good choice. Online registration for new patients is a breeze. I highly recommend doing your paperwork before your visit and I recommend seeing Dr. Caroline Vaughn. Many dermatologists are self pay only. This practice takes insurance.

Even my girl, former Yelp, community manager, Farrah wrote a review of her terrible experience. They were holding a special, so I thought I would give them a try. I ended up having a great experience. Alonso, the owner and injector, and his daughter, who is part of the business came in and gave me a consultation. They suggested the recommended amount of dysport. (Which I love way better than Botox - it holds better with me). I've always been on the fence about the recommended dose of Botox and dysport because does a 20 year old really need the exact same amount of a 55 year old (I am not 55). I told them that I was not comfortable with the amount they suggested, and let me also say that I have been to businesses that suggest the recommended amount as well. I always politely decline. I have used Botox and disport for years and I know what works with my face. Do t be afraid to speak up. You may get some push back - but it's YOUR face. I feel like they listened to me and I was injected with the amount I was comfortable with. Alonzo was quick and not to mention super nice. He and his daughter mentioned that if anything looked wonky to come back and they will take care of it. Honestly, I've never heard a business say this to me. I've never had any issues. It made me a little bit nervous this was said... Because I thought, do mishaps happen all the time here? Is that why they are saying this? This injector not only doesn't listen to his clients but also has an inflated sense of his abilities. He is too reckless to be working on people's faces.
