During my June, 2024 vacation to Colorado, my friend, Felixx, invited Alyssa and me to meet up with…read morehim for after dinner drinks at the Lazy Greyhound on Saturday, the 22nd. Wow, I didn't expect to be blown away by a bar! The Lazy Greyhound is not your typical watering hole - the establishment is a chic speakeasy-style cocktail lounge inspired by the classic British gentlemen's clubs of the 18th and 19th centuries. Nestled within downtown Littleton on Main Street, the location is a hidden gem amidst numerous breweries. After easily finding free street parking nearby, we arrived shortly before 8:30 PM. Entry was like stepping into a different world through an unassuming exterior - inside, the dimly lit room's timeless elegance with Chesterfield leather sofas was softly illuminated by the three stained glass pieces above the bar, one of which depicts the venue's namesake. The tasteful décor adds a touch of class and sophistication to the intimate ambiance and handsome atmosphere. After we were granted to enter past the red velvet rope at the front door, we grabbed a seat at one of the Chesterfields. The comfortable lounge seating made for a cozy spot for relaxed socializing and the music volume was perfectly pleasant for personal conversations. The setting was casual, but refined, with vintage touches. My kind of place, for sure. To complement the stylish environment, The Lazy Greyhound offers an extensive menu featuring a unique blend of timeless classic cocktails, "OLD DOGS/TRIED & TRUE CLASSICS," and creatively crafted modern drinks, "NEW TRICKS/SEASONAL CREATIONS," as well as beer, wine and "SMALL BITES/SHAREABLE SNACKS." Remarkable service also adds to the delightful experience. Our server, Zach/Zack/Zac (sp?), was warm, friendly and genuinely engaging - he took the time to guide us through the impressive menu and was eager to offer beverage suggestions based on our preferences. I was looking for something with an egg white foamy topping, so he suggested the AMARETTO SOUR, IMPROVED ($15) which was velvety and the signature almond sweetness was not overpowering. Alyssa went with the ALWAYS ON CALL ($15), a deliciously creamy coffee-forward mixed drink. We also ordered the PINK SQUIRREL which Zach/Zack/Zac comped for us due to the long wait. The retro, indulgent mixed drink tickled us pink with its hue and creamy, sweet and nutty flavour. Serving the PINK SQUIRREL on the house to us reflected The Lazy Greyhound's commitment to customer care and satisfaction. Felixx ordered the yummy MEAT & CHEESE BOARD which was served with thoughtful presentation. True story: I super suck with electronics and am practically blind without my eyeglasses, so I accidentally undertipped Zach/Zack/Zac while using the handheld payment system. When I saw the receipt back at Alyssa's house, I was horrified to see that I hadn't tipped him what he deserved. I returned to The Lazy Greyhound on the 24th just before 11 PM. Even though they were closed and the doors were locked, I knocked until someone answered so I could personally give cash to Zach/Zack/Zac to make up for my mistake. He was very gracious and thankful. The Lazy Greyhound immediately earned its spot as a favourite bar of mine through their intimate, speakeasy-style atmosphere combined with their innovative concoctions and welcoming service. They stand out as a premier destination for a high-quality, relaxing and memorable evening.

I had the earl grey vodka-based Breakfast at Tiffany's and it was beautifully presented and so flavorful! The Christmas decor was lovely and cozy. The cribbage board table was classy and charming. I did a Pin-up Party here to celebrate my birthday with a few girlfriends. It was a super fun opportunity to have a "girls night out" but to do something besides bar hop. It's going to be 3 weeks until we see our images (that seems a little long to me), so I'm going to post based on the party experience then update when we see our images. **Update on images below** Kathryn H. did a pretty good run down of the party itself; when you book, you're seriously wondering how the heck you're going to spend 3 hours and wow does Jacque keep you busy! She'll take you through some pin-up history and "routines" which I appreciated because it really does get you in the mood and ready to put on your best pin-up face come picture time. Jacque was good about keeping things moving forward, but at times we did feel rushed rather than feeling like we had time to enjoy each other's company while we were there. (She seriously gave us "3 minutes" to use the restroom at one point- and she stuck to it!) The description to bring your own food/drinks makes it seem like you'll have more leisure time than you do, but then again I'm not sure I'd want to spend that much more time there either. We did bring food and drinks, and found the most time to enjoy them was during the photo shoot. She has a pretty extensive wardrobe selection which was great because of the 6 ladies there we ranged in size from 4-12, and everyone found something they were excited about and comfortable in. Her wide variety of props is pretty fun too; she made sure each person posed with 3 props during the photo session. The photo session was fun, and I felt like she knew how to work with us to help us get the best pictures, even if again, we felt rushed. I also would have liked if she partnered with a hair/makeup person- that would have been hugely helpful! We found a place to do some of our make-up and hair before we arrived, but it would have been that much better to show up an hour or two early and make that part of the party (for an add'l cost of course!). All in all, it is a great option to do something different for a girls night out. You walk away with 5 individual images, and a few group images, and have the choice to pay extra for all your images. Most of us decided we'd wait to see the images, and would be willing to wait another 3 weeks, before deciding to pay more for it all. **Update on images** It was almost 3 weeks to the day when we received our email announcing our photos were ready. We each had 5 individual shots and 3 group shots. If I was to rate based on my photos alone I would increase my rating to 5 stars, but a couple of my friends' photos were kind of off- some slightly blurry or weird shadowing that made me sad to think those were the "best" 5 images. I was really happy with my images but not to the extent that I wanted to pay $50 to see/own all of them retouched; they're a super fun keepsake and definitely different. It's an incredibly fun thing to do, and the images are really just a bonus to memorialize a great girls' night out. One of our group shots was truly epic and something I'll treasure for life.

My partner called and talked to the owner ahead of time before driving an hour to exchange an item that was uncomfortable to wear. The owner confirmed we can exchange the item. My partner drove out and the employees denied her the return and after they texted Angel (the owner) she then denied us the return. Why? Why waste our time. We spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars at your store. We were trying to support you and your business. Your lack of care is a disappointment to the community and the vision you expressed you were trying to create for woman's clothing. Make things right and I will take this comment down.

Stay for the good that they're doing in the community. I visited thinking that it was another brewpub and I was delighted to see that there were food, coffee and non-alcoholic options. Our group was delighted across the board with what we got. This space though is so much more than a restaurant. There were coworking spaces, beautiful crafts from local makers, and a playground. It is truly a welcoming space.

We came on a beautiful Saturday morning - I was able to enjoy a coffee drink while my little one got to play in their amazing play area! This is a parent's dream. They have clean bathrooms (with all the things you need for diaper changes) and reliable wifi (aka for working if needed). We have since returned and tried the food as well. While I don't find it especially amazing, it's good enough to enjoy in this amazing space. I do like the little kids charcuterie plate though. If kids aren't your jam, the seating on the other side of the space is plenty far away and separated. The location is wonderful and outside seating is appreciated. Keep doing what you're doing, I'm so glad this business exists!
