It can't be easy to run a nursing home, but the people who work here do a wonderful job, and they…read moremake it as warm and welcoming as I think it could ever be, realistically. Just in terms of the kind of services it offers, it takes medicare, so it's not one of those privately funded places that only rich people can get into. But that also means there is a waiting list. Secondly, there are shared rooms and private rooms, but there are curtains around each bed providing at least some privacy for the residents. But the place is cheery. It has a cat, and there are always decorations up for the nearest holiday. Dinners are held in the chapel altogether for the residents. I can tell they make a real, and consistent effort to keep the people there happy. And healthy - the nurses are extremely attentive and very good about reporting any concerns to the family. It is a place that combines the good bureaucracy that is needed with excellent service. I get the feeling that they have pride in their already wonderful reputation, but they also care for the residents at a basic human level.

He is very attentive and caring. My brother is blind so he needs extra care. There's another woman named Mary, she gave us access to the outdoor patio which was really helpful for us so he could get some exercise. I appreciate the staff keeping an eye on my brother even though they are not used to dealing with blind people. They always make sure to keep him clean and as well as his room. Thank you very much for all you're doing for him

My overall opinion of the treatment I received was excellent. The nursing staff provided outstanding care seven days a week. Experts from other local hospitals would visit when a second opinion or another level of expertise was required. The therapy department at CareOne in Lexington has a well-deserved reputation for effective treatment and results. Both the physical and occupational therapists excelled at setting goals for me and working diligently to help me achieve them. The food was surprisingly good. The kitchen staff records your preferences and needs when you first arrive and three times a day, they provide nutritious and enjoyable meals. There are always several choices to choose from. Special note has to be made here for Mark, the recreational director, who is amazing. He knows everyone's name in this large facility and always has a smile while he engages patients with endless games, movies, special holiday events, and even live music once or twice a month. The last performer I heard before I left was a well-known Elvis Impersonator and he put on a fantastic show! Mark's loving and upbeat personality is a powerful medicine you can't dismiss. I also want to single out the executive director of this complex facility, Ryan, who has skillfully hired some of the best nurses and aids in the area. While I am certainly glad to be home and walking on my own two feet again, I miss some of the wonderful friendships I enjoyed at CareOne in Lexington. Also, getting a warm breakfast served in bed every morning at 8 a.m. was nice, too!

Our family had a deeply disappointing experience with this rehabilitation facility, particularly…read moreregarding communication, discharge planning, and the lack of consideration given to our concerns about our father's safety. I am my father's health care proxy, and my sister and I were actively advocating for his well-being and trying to coordinate appropriate care. As instructed by the hospital before his transfer, we contacted the facility on the day he arrived to communicate our concerns and arrange a meeting to discuss his needs, safety, and questions surrounding his decision-making capacity. Instead of feeling heard and included in the process, we felt dismissed and left without meaningful communication. We were especially alarmed when we learned that discharge was being planned before our scheduled meeting with the care team could take place. Our father had no belongings and no way to get home, yet these basic logistical concerns did not appear to have been adequately considered. Communication with us seemed to be cut off until it became clear that he had no means of getting home. Rather than having a productive conversation about his care needs and safety, I was questioned about whether I understood the financial implications of keeping him at the facility after discharge. As his health care proxy, I was trying to ensure that his needs and safety were being taken seriously while we worked to clarify his decision-making capacity. Having our concerns met this way was incredibly upsetting. Families should not have to fight to be heard when raising legitimate concerns about a loved one's safety. We expected clear communication, collaboration, and thoughtful discharge planning. Instead, we were left feeling dismissed and unsupported during an already overwhelming situation. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and examines its communication practices, family involvement, and approach to discharge planning, particularly for patients with complex needs. Patients and their families deserve to be treated with compassion, respect, and transparency.

Not only did She detect issues that the doctors were not pointing out, Brittany was able to come up with effective solutions to soothe or make the problems go away completely. Unfairly she wasn't able to begin working on my broken foot until months after my crucial injury. I'm sure if she was my first P.T we would have definitely had better results and understanding about the real problems sooner. Overall Brittany's professionalism even rubs off on her interns who I thought already graduated and were working as full time P.Ts.
