The best tour guide in London! My face still hurts from how much I was smiling and laughing;)

Adrenaline pumping while jumping waves! Check out the Speed experience, it leaves from Saint Katharine's pier. We took the tour from the Eye and it doesn't go quite as fast. Luckily we got the same guide on the faster ride! He's great and tell him Raina and Blake say hi:)

This was a birthday present from my parents and it was an inspired choice - I'd seen these fast ribs speeding up and down the Thames over the years, but had never taken a trip myself. So when I turned up on a gorgeous sunny afternoon on the last day in October, I had half an idea of what to expect. I've been on ribs before, but not on such a busy waterway as this. Just how fast could we go, with all the other vessels in their way? After arriving and checking in, we were soon sorted into separate groups for the two 1pm sailings. We'd been issued with lightweight life belts, which fitted easily over our jackets in a waistcoat style. Then we were beckoned on board into the 12 seater vessel. No seat belts was a slight surprise, but they really are not necessary. Nor are waterproofs - you might think you'll get splashes at speed, but it just doesn't happen. The ebullient Nick gave us the pre-flight briefing and introduced us to Tony who'd be steering us on our way up and down the river. A steady pace at first until we'd be beyond Tower Bridge, then the throttles would be opened. As we set off, we soon overtook the other cruise ships and it didn't take long before we reached Tower Bridge. Nick gave us a final briefing and let us know what to do if the pace was too much! At first, the increased speed was impressive, but not thrilling. But more was definitely to come! The pace suddenly went to another level, where it became slightly more necessary to grip onto the handles, particularly when tight turns were made from port to starboard! Pulses raced, little shrieks of excitement were heard up and down the boat, accompanied by an entertainingly apt rock soundtrack blasting out from the speakers. As we looked up and down the river close to Canary Wharf, the iconic buildings of central London suddenly seemed very far away, a trick of perspective and the bend of the river. Soon, it was time to turn back and zip towards the jetty at the London Eye, but as we approached Tower Bridge, it was time for a hugely informative and entertaining travelogue to be delivered by Nick - his stories and historical titbits were excellent, particularly the bridge-jumping bus. That was an unexpected bonus and I'd like to thank him for tolerating my occasional contributions too! All in all, this was an excellent experience from beginning to end. It's impossible not to disembark from this without a mile wide grin on your face and a heightened pulse (in a good way!) Top class entertainment and worth every penny.

Wow Eat Your Heart Out 007! For fun, thrills with no spills (well the odd little splash here and there) and you feel the need for speed then this adventure MUST be on your bucket list of things to do. In the evening from 8pm it truly was amazing as the sun is setting boarding right next to the London Eye, and after you don your safety jacket with a quick health & safety talk, your adventure starts. James was our audio guide and he pointed out the landmarks with the history behind them and interesting facts (he was very funny with he's wit and banter and without him I don't think the trip would have been so good). The boat has to go slow past most of the famous landmarks including Big Ben, HMS Belfast, The Shard and The Tower of London until you get past Tower Bridge due to speed restrictions and water laws, then once past Tower Bridge the boat roars into action with sharp turns left and right with music blasting out of the boats speakers and the first song played was the theme to Baywatch, it really felt you were rushing to save someone in the water and all that was missing was the eye popping sight of Pamela Anderson in that classic red swim suit, plus other water related and action themes were also played including the James Bond theme!. Seeing London from a different perspective and with London's night life kicking in this is a boat ride like no other. I truly recommend this if you are a James Bond fan or speed freak, It certainly scared 'The Living Daylights' out of me in places, and there certainly was 'A View To A Kill' that being London lit up at night. This has certainly got to be the best way in London to see the iconic famous landmarks, so forget the roads and don't sit in the London traffic, just speed on down to Thames Rockets for the thrill of a lifetime (as you Only Live Once, NOT Twice!).

Fun trip down the river. Good for quick speed thrills and a bit of history lesson. Dave was a great tour leader. Good weather helps though.

The scenery from the boat was great but the young man offering a narration was somewhat disappointing. Midway between Greenwich and London, the cruise makes one stop at the Millennium Pier for additional passengers. The first part of our cruise was enjoyable but the second part was somewhat less enjoyable due to a family of five (mom, dad and 3 rather unruly kids) who sat in front of us. The 3 kids was not well behaved and the parents did little to get them to behave. The boat was crowded at this point and moving to another seat was not an option. The views of the city from the water were great and well worth the price of the ticket. But, the narration did not add much value to the tour. And we could have done without the kids.

My friends Steve, Terry and I decided to spend a day floating down the Thames and go to Richmond…read moreand just enjoy the summer day. We bought our tickets from at the ticket booth at Hampton Court located on the River Thames just across the Thames from the Big London Eye and directly across the street from Big Ben. If you have a Travel Card which is a daily travel pass, you can receive a 30% discount. Our 1100 departure came and went but eventully this smal boat arrived and docked closer to 1115am. The three person crew were very friendly, welcomed us aboard and off we went. We were lucky enough to be on The Connaught, a vintage ship from the Edwardian times celebrating her 99th year plying the Thames; fortunately, her engine and crew were not that old! This ship has an open deck up front as well as in the back but if you want to stay out of the wind and cool breezes there is a large covered area below with windows, tables and chairs and a bar! We became very friendly with the bar tender buying several pints of beer. The captain of the Connaught gave commentary along the way which was nice but he also just let us enjoy the peace and quiet to enjoy the beauty of the Thames. Immediately upon our departure, I realized how the Thames slices through Central London and winds its way through the city. If you are a Planespotter, you'll love this trip too because we pretty much followed the landing and take off patterns of London's Heathrow airport; we were lucky enough to be under Emirates new A380 from Dubai as it made its final approach to LHR, the wingspan seemed to dwarf that of the 747-400!. We passed many old buildings on the banks of the Thames, what were once loading dock areas of the past have been converted to very trendy lofts offering excellent views of the Thames. I especially liked the numerous bridges that we sailed underneath, some were built over 100 years ago and still operating! Each one seemed to have it's own personality, I would take this tour again just to see the bridges. As we continued closer to Richmond the city of London left us and the countryside welcomed us, lots of weeping willow trees on the banks, rustic flowers blooming in the late summer season and large estates began to appear with very large back yards and private launches for their own boats; that's the life! Eventually we arrived at the first lock we needed to get through to enter the next section of the Thames. If you have cruised through the Panama Canal you will understand how this works, this was a miniature version but using the same engineering. Within 10-15minutes we had risen about 8-10feet, the lock in front of us was opened and we continued on our way to Kew. On this trip we did not leave the Connaught at Kew but I highly recommend going to Kew Gardens, they are absolutely beautiful and the conservatory has one of the best displays of Orchids I have seen. We picked up a few more customers and left for Richmond. At this point we were truly in the country and there's nothing to do but just sit back and enjoy the gentle motion of the ship, take in the sunshine, have a sip of your beer and be thankful for a wonderful day. We arrived in beautiful Richmond, many restaurants and pubs along the river and incase you don't want to take the ship back to London there is a train that will whisk you back to Waterloo station in just 25minutes. I truly enjoyed this trip and recommend it for anyone who is visiting, traveling by boat/ship beats riding the underground anyday.

We boarded our river boat just beside Hampton Court Palace and were heading back to Westminster Pier. I did take a seat under the awning for the trip as it was a blazing hot day and am glad I did. The journey back to Westminster Pier took 3 hours, but only made a few stops along the way. Those that sat up top predictably got quite sunburnt. The most picturesque part of the route is from Hampton Court, through the river as far as Barnes and Mortlake. You can see some beautiful properties which lie beside the banks of the river and it's extremely pretty. Once you are past Putney, it's mainly a few parks and office buildings, but the journey itself is very pleasant, relaxing and a great chance to chat with friends, have a beer/wine or whatever and just relax.

The morning of our booking I had a medical emergency (which we were able to verify to Skuna) so we called about six hours before our tour to ask if we could reschedule for another day. We understood this was incredibly short notice, so we didn't expect a refund or even a full credit. We asked if since the food would obviously not be prepared could we at least have a credit for the food portion if not the tour time. The answer was a fairly insensitive no, and were told the manager said they can't do anything with a same day cancel. Of course, we understood the uniqueness of the situation and had it not been due to a legitimate medical issue we never would have asked. However, the staff we spoke to didn't even show concern for the situation. We had to cancel drinks and bites at Bokan as well for after our tour and the staff there said no problem, they showed concern, and wished us well. Understanding that policies are in place we sent an email the next day. Eight days later we have only received an automated reply stating that our email was received. This is an experience we've wanted to have since moving to London three years ago, but sadly we just aren't interested in giving more money to a company that has this little care for their customers.
