I'll admit, there was a bit of panic when I found out Hair It Is was closed (okay, a big panic, especially as I'd waited to get my roots done until I was in Sedona and was becoming more and more brunette by the minute), but luckily I was able to find her here thanks to Yelp. She was able to get me in just hours after I called (conveniently someone else canceled - usually she's pretty busy so you'll want to book ahead). The cut and color were perfect. Perfect! On top of her phenomenal technical ability, Sherri's such a sweetheart and it's always a pleasure to see her. The salon itself is really nice, modern and spacious. The girl that did my hair, I wanted a short hairstyle and brought a picture, said if she couldn't do it, to do a pixie. Well, she starts and gets a bit off, then asked how I liked it, I said shorter. She proceeded to cut it shorter, but failed to measure the sides, hair over my ears which I HATE, hair sticking out behind both sides of my ears...no textur, no product offered..I paid $26 for this? I realize they do cheaper haircuts, but me being a senior, do they not offer a discount for that? Phoenix does...next haircut will have to make the drive I guess...for now, now I have to go to another stylist to fix her screw up.. not happy at all.
