Given that it was $1/min (10min/$10...60min/$60), I decided to try it out for 20min/$20. About 5-10 min into the massage, I immediately noticed that the masseuse (Karen) was able to detect every knitted muscle and areas of my problems, so I decided to extend it to 60min/$60. The first 30 min were spent on my neck, upper and lower back with a towel covering my body. I was surprised that even with the towel, it was still very powerful. The last 30 min was w/o towel and oil. Same areas covered including the glut, legs and arms. This was absolutely amazing. It was like Karen was separating the joints to relieve the pressure on the nerves. Finally, Karen ended with a 5 min head, hands and face massage which was very soothing. I've already hooked another session next week and intend on a weekly visit to alleviate all the stress and joint pain from the week. I highly recommend this place to anyone with neck, shoulder, upper and lower back pains.

Elements has clean, relaxing studios for the massage, and I was entirely comfortable for 99% of my time on the table. Sign-in was a breeze. Emily was responsive to my requests, and incorporated new techniques (arm placement, muscle exposure, joint manipulation, altering between light touch and deep tissue) I hadn't experienced previously. I felt loose and in a better headspace when my hour was up, and Emily greeted my exit with a cold bottle of water. The dings: A bit too much elbow work directly atop my spine. Short lived, so this was minor. The biggest beef? Elements lays the upsell on thick. With memberships and salt stones and aromatherapy and fast follow-ups and more and more... I heard pitches to both new customers and those leaving their session. Slow your roll, folks. Overall, very positive, and I will be scheduling a return. But not because of your email drip campaign sheesh Elements let me live my life!

I walked in ten minutes early for the appointment I was supposed to have & they told me it was supposed to have started 20 minutes before. I have used this place many times in the past and am sad to say they lost a long time client. I have never been as disgusted as I am right now. I will never go back!

Before my scheduled massage, I was very skeptical of whether or not the massage would actually be worth not only my time and money. I am happy to say however, that my massage was exactly what I was expecting. Upon arriving at Presence Wellness, you instantly feel the calm and relax atmosphere of the massage center. My massage therapist, Nicole, was not only very personable and friendly, but also professional while giving the massage. The room in which I had my massage was very clean and relaxing. The table along with the décor was all very well up-kept, helping to bring a relaxed feeling to one self. Over the course of an hour, Nicole was able to provide a whole-body massage. Beginning with aromatherapy, I was instantly able to relax (as much as my stressed muscles would allow me). Over the course of an hour, Nicole carefully and delicately worked all my major muscles from my head to my feet. i realized that in order to get the best deep tissue massage possible, allow the therapist to use a little more pressure in order to really get down into your tissues. This is exactly how Nicole performed her massage, and it definitely helped at reliving the stress that I had built up in my body! My only complaint however, is that one hour simply isn't long enough ;) I could have gone on for more additional hours if time allowed! Due to the fact that an hour is a very short time, don't be afraid to mention problem areas or spots in which you would like extra attentive care, at the beginning of the session! Next time, I know to have a little less work on my legs, and a lot more work on my next and back! I would definitely recommend Presence Wellness to any individual looking for massage services.

So... this was hands down the most bizarre massage experience I have had…read more I've had approx. 20 massages thus far, ranging from $10 nail salon massages to $150 NYC spa massages. I stumbled upon this place as I walked down Beacon Street in Washington Sq. and I had been craving a deep tissue massage, so I just walked in. First of all, the place didn't have much charm, but I was OK with that. I pay for the quality of massage; not the frills. I waited a few minutes and then I was taken into a room. Everything seemed customary up until this point... I am lying down, ready for my deep tissue massage, and the woman who assisted me comes into the room. She begins working. As soon as I am getting into my massage, a phone rings-- so, she says "sorry" and stops the massage to go answer the phone. I thought "how weird!". She comes back in and starts the massage again. Then, things got weirder... Another woman comes in and starts working on me too. So, they are both massaging me, speaking in Mandarin Chinese, as I attempt to relax. It ruined the experience of what should have been a peaceful massage. I contemplated getting up and going, but the massage felt good, so I stayed and figured I wouldn't really tip much, if at all. The phone rings for a second time. The lady who started working on me first leaves for the second time. I am left with the other woman who joined her. She is still working. It felt awkward and unprofessional. I have never experienced anything like this before. 1. During a massage, the therapist is NOT supposed to leave... especially not to go pick up the phone! I have never had this happen before during any prior massage. (I would understand if it were an EMERGENCY, but I do not think this was...) 2. Generally, 1 individual works on you; not 2, unless you request 2 people, I suppose. 3. Talking during a massage is also unprofessional. Especially when two massage therapists are speaking loudly, to each other. PS: It wasn't cheap. 70 bucks for a massage! DO NOT GO HERE!

"Is it OK if we both work on you for 25 minutes" instead of the hour I paid for? A mediocre at BEST 20 minute massage. They told me I fell asleep to try to fake out a few minutes- I did not fall asleep and I did not like them, the massage room or their attitude. Then I gave the woman a tip- and she looked at it and said "Is this for both of us"? In perfect English!!!! Of course during the entire 20 minutes of 'Chinese massage(!)' I am trying to tell them I have lower back pain- nothing- just hushed Chinese and patronizing broken English. But when it comes tipping time- they want $40!!!??? $70 'massage', $40 tip is $110 better spent on penny whistles and moon pies.
