We ordered take out from here for dinner tonight and it was great! We ordered a few dishes to try. We each got a Pad Thai dish and they were heavyyyy! We will be happily eating it tomorrow for dinner as well! We also got their fried rice bowl which was super tasty and we ordered the PET dish that had pumpkin, eggplant, and tofu in a garlic sauce with a side of rice! This one was incredible with a ton of veggies. The rice was packed in a separate container and was shaped into a heart, which was a nice touch! We also ordered the sticky rice for dessert! The food came to us quickly and was still very hot when it arrived! We will definitely order from this place again! We had already eaten a third of each dish basically by the time I took these pictures!

Popped in for a business lunch on a weekday. Neat little downtown area, average interior. Hostess/waitress was very friendly and efficient even for a group of eight. I grabbed a lunch special noodle dish similar to drunken noodles with tofu. Above average taste, not too oily. Went with the thai hot and it was about a 7 out of 10 on the heat scale, pretty mild. Came with two little rolls and a salad. Salad was a little better than the standard side salad you get with these deals. Overall, pretty good.

Such a hidden gem in the area. Their prices and proportions are immaculate. We always order the veggie dumplings, spring rolls, and yellow curry. The service is always quick! These dumplings are amazing, and the sauce is the perfect compliment with the lettuce. The curry is the perfect heat. Because this is a hidden gem, they aren't usually busy. I would suggest calling before driving to the restaurant as there are times when they have been closed. This is my favorite place to stop by when driving from ATL to CTL.

This place was fantastic! We took a detour coming from Asheville back to Atlanta and decided to drive out to Greer for Thai Vegan specifically. Boy were we not disappointed. It's hard to find pad Thai from a place that makes it without eggs and this was not only vegan-friendly, but boy was it tasty!

Finally made it out to Thai Vegan in Greer in August 2020 after being recommended it by a friend months ago! I regret waiting so long to eat there as it was delicious! We ordered the veggie dumplings - steamed and fried -, the crispy chicken, and the spring rolls. All of which were amazing. I can't recommend enough the Thai Tea and Thai Ice Coffee - SO tasty! Our entrees were also delicious. Honestly, I didn't try one thing that I disliked. I can't wait to go back and visit - my only complaint is they aren't a bit closer to my location. I hope one day they get a location in downtown Greenville as I feel they would do excellently there! Also, our server answered our questions and she gave us great service!

I tried their PET (pumpkin eggplant tofu) entree a few weeks after my first review. It was really tasty. I've never had pumpkin like that before. It was chopped in chunky pieces. I didn't really know what to expect. The taste kind of reminded me of a sweet potato but more firm. The pumpkin and eggplant paired well together. The sauce was garlicky. I'll definitely try this dish again.

Can't get enough of this hidden gem. Always great food. I totally recommend it to vegans and non vegans.

I love being able to order anything off the whole menu! Food was delicious! I like that they have things like vegan beef and fish, but also tofu too. Ordered a yellow curry. FYI the spice was more like an Indian yellow curry than a Thai yellow curry. That was a little off-putting at first, but I thought it was still good. Also ordered pad see ew which was delicious! We need more amazing vegan food in the area like this. Please stay in business forever.

Food is absolutely delicious! Highly recommend. The curry is our favorite, but everything is fantastic. They do a great job.

Does Thai Vegan have soy free entrees?

Yes! I don't think any of their stir-fry entrees have soy, and they were able to provide extra veggies instead of tofu for a curry entree I had.

We stepped into the restaurant the first thing we noticed is it's dimly lit. We waited a few moments before a server came over , she then took us to a booth. The seating wasn't that comfortable. We were given water very quickly. Then a server came to take our order. We had not had time to look at the menu so asked her to come back. Then another server came and asked if we wanted different drinks instead of water. We declined. The first server came back again so we ordered our Appetizers. We both decided on soup. My husband had Lemongrass and chicken and I had the coconut chicken with mushrooms. Yet another server came to take our Entree order. The soup arrived and it was very hot and tasty. The only down side was the chicken in the soup was overcooked and chewy. We were then given Spring rolls and dip. They were hot and crunchy. Our Entrees arrived before we finished the rolls. We both ordered our meals as a medium spice which is pretty spicy so be careful when ordering. Overall the food was good. Service was a little confusing as they all seemed to serve you! I did use the bathroom which again is dimly lit but you could see it was dirty and the floors need a good clean as they are black in some areas and very sticky. Noise level was ok even though the restaurant was busy and music was be played.

The pad Thai was very sweet and the chicken a bit tough to chew. We liked the beef salad though. It was tasty, the beef tender and flavorful. The veggies were crisp and fresh. They ran out of sticky rice with mango. Very sad.

The staff was genuinely kind and attentive, not just going through the motions. That kind of service is rare. I ordered the dumplings, teriyaki chicken, and a spider roll--everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. You can taste the difference. As a retired Air Force veteran, I don't take good service or a good experience for granted. Soulisa's got it right. I left full in more ways than one. Great food, great people, great energy. Definitely a place I'd recommend.

But for Landrum to have a decent Thai restaurant (and they have sushi) is a big deal. I'm reviewing 3 stars for now, did not get to try the sushi and other menu items. The restaurant is situated in the middle of the block set in the quaint, small downtown of Landrum. The sushi is prepared in the back, in an open sushi style traditional display, but no seating right there. The restaurant is clean, moderately bright, and the tables can be arranged for parties of 8, we were four. I did think the tables were a little too close together. During our meal, an adjacent four top was seated and while they were not disturbing us, the tiny waitress was bumping into me as she took their order or delivered food, enough so that I had to be aware of it so as to not accidentally wave an arm and knock a drink or plate from her hand. Our service was attentive. Pricing is reasonable for food, but I did think $14 for an 8 ounce hot sake was steep. I tried the Larb Gai level 6 and the presentation and arrangement of the dish made it easy to eat as lettuce wraps with crisp iceberg and the fresh flavors. It was well balanced and the right heat but slightly dry. A side container of a couple of additional tablespoons of the Thai dressing would be a good idea. My Tom Yum Soup entree size was ample enough for leftovers. It is very flavorful but on the sweet side comparatively to many other TY soups I've had. My protein choice was chicken and heat level 6 of 10. It seemed that everyone's dishes were slightly hotter than expected, even our friends who regularly order the same dishes felt that way. My 6 was more like an 8 and I'm a hot head eater. This often happens as variance in pepper heat in stir fry or in chef to chef variance in spice profile. I would suggest order lower and adjust up to your taste. We arrived early, 5:15 and left 7:15 and were not rushed. The restaurant was moderately busy as it was a Friday. I'm told reservations are recommended. 3 stars means "A-OK" and that is where this landed. No disappointments and also no stand out experiences, but we would dine here again.

None of the spaces are marked but it's not difficult to figure out where to park. Since the lot is gravel, be aware if you have mobility issues. You can park near the entrance but not adjacent to the building so there will be at least a short walk to the door. There is also a small step up to the porch in front of the door. The pickup window is next to the entrance door which is a nice touch as the interior is small and would certainly get crowded if to go orders had to wait inside. The interior is small with table seating for about 20. There is also a small outside patio for warmer weather dining. There are several windows allowing you to look over the very near river. We got there shortly before they opened and were seated within a minute of entering. We got a nice corner table next to the river. Our servers were very pleasant. They went over the menu and specials and were very patient answering any questions. One thing to note is they do not allow substitutions, so read the menu description carefully to be sure you know what you are ordering. We wound up ordering their daily specials. Unfortunately, I forgot to take note of what they were called. One was a curry and the other included short ribs and soup. We also ordered spring rolls. The spring rolls were brought to the table in about 10 minutes. They were hot and crunchy and excellent. The dipping sauce was a touch spicy and really brought out the flavor of the spring rolls. The main dishes were brought out after about another 15 minutes. The curry dish was outstanding. The meat was tender and seasoned very well. There was a slight overall spiciness to the dish, but it quickly settled into a warm glow that simply begged for another bite. The short ribs and soup special were also outstanding. The ribs were cooked perfectly with the meat falling off the bone. The soup was flavorful and the ingredients fresh. We ate until we were stuffed and then ate a little more. We simply could not finish everything and took the last bit with us, and it was just as good reheated the next day. We also decided to take a mango and coconut milk dessert to go for later in the evening. This was a wonderful finish to a great meal. The mango was fresh and flavorful. The coconut milk and sticky rice made for a great taste texture. For such an unassuming building the dining experience would rival that of any big city. The fact it is located in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina allows it to offer an experience unrivaled by any better known restaurant. If you are anywhere near Sylva, you own it to yourself to partake of a meal at Dalaya.

The food is okay, not great. The service a bit of a mess, the ambiance is okay. Our table ordered Drunken Noodle which was good, red curry and green curry. We also had a coconut soup and an order of baby egg rolls. My favorite part of the meal was the baby egg rolls and that's kinda sad. My companions ordered Thai teas and I got sweet tea which my tea was fine. Hubby's drunken noodle was actually pretty good. My green curry (with tofu) was fine but the rice was mushy. We also got a mango sticky rice for dessert but it seemed the rice was leftover from yesterday maybe. I wish I had better remarks but again, this is not my first visit and I had similar complaints the first time. As far as service, the servers were nice enough and I think for the volume of patrons they were doing okay but it still was a bit of a mess. They were doubling the work trying to cover all tables when maybe they should've had separate sections. I think that would've quelled some of the overlap like both servers working to refill my tea and by the time one had, the other was coming with the pitcher. This next part is the fault of the kitchen. I watched table after table get served their dishes scattered, where one person would get theirs while the others at the table were waiting for theirs to come. Some would wait for the others to be served but some would go ahead and start eating ahead of their party. This happened the last time I was there as well. That needs to be tightened up. Personally, I wouldn't go back. The experience was a bit of a drag. We regretted ordering dessert as it took so long to come and we were antsy to get out of there by the time it came. The food was good enough but it could've been so much better and the service stayed afloat but certainly could be better.
