Walking into the restaurant, you will see modern interior as well as open concept restaurant. There are tables for large groups as well as small groups and the proximity to another table wasn't compact which was great as it gives more breathable space. Ordering was easy. The server will ask whether you are dining in or taking away and she will give a lunch menu which comes with a soft drink. I decided to pick up the normal menu and explored much further on what I would like to eat. In the end, I got myself a flat noodle with chilli basil as the sauce and beef for the extra ingredient. I also ordered a berry mint frappe as I was mesmerized by how it looked on the menu (and yes, I am a fan of berries related drinks). The frappe arrived first and first sip, it was like a berry slush with a hint of mint. Refreshing as well as fruity drink and you can't really stop sipping until the end. The main dish arrived next. The flat noodles are soft yet chewy and the sauce made the dish to have both sweet and spicy taste. The portion was quite a lot for one but the price was definitely on the pricier end. Sitting at a place where you could see the menu on the top of the cashier wasn't a good choice especially when your eyes are set on the dessert menu. Hence I got myself black sticky rice and thai custard. The sticky rice was chewy and the thai custard taste more like a pudding. Portion was much bigger than expected and had to take away as I chomped on quite a bit of food before the dessert break. Overall, it is definitely a good place to dine in and there are quite a bit of Asian foods (like Singapore Laksa) as well as a few burger dishes on the side.

Really love the Pork Ribs, tender and beautiful flavours. The risotto ball thing is a little weird of a combination, so just need to get past that. Absolutely love the soft shell crab papaya salad. So that is definitely something to try on the menu. Also if you get take away you also get 10% off!

She has good taste.  We were a party of 15.  There was going to be lots of food.  My cousin kept pushing we get there all on time.  All of us.  In fact she was having us get there early. I like the name.  Holy Basil.  It fits.  To say the decor was the traditional setup at many Thai restaurants does not do it justice.  It was lavish and outstanding.  Everything looked brand new.  They seem to have a full bar and definitely had an exquisite wine cellar.   A 2nd floor was a little cramp.  It is where the restrooms are.  They only open for dinner.  They also fill up very fast.  As busy as they were the service was excellent.  I thought for sure there would be long pauses between the plates but that did not happen.  And did I say the place was getting packed?  I went upstairs to use the restroom and freshen up.  That floor too was packed.  They just opened up for crying out loud.  All this excitement was making me more hungry. No need to look at the menu my cousin knew what she wanted and had ordered prior to arriving.  If you have not been here before I suggest looking at the menu online.  It is quite extensive and will take you awhile to get through.  It will be also difficult to decide what to order. So many dishes to make you salivate.   10 different selections were ordered many were doubled.  Mango salad on whole snapper, ox tongue, pork belly on greens, spicy beef salad, pad si ewe, duck curry, banana frawn salad, bbq chicken, chicken wings and spring rolls. The duck curry stole the show for me.  Rich and savory loved it with the rice.  Didn't last long on the table.  Mango salad with the snapper was another winning dish.  The vinaigrette and crunchy salad made a nice pairing to the delicate soft flesh of the snapper.  Turns out that's their signature dish.  Impressive. I like the ox tongue with the spicy sweet sauce.  I wish there was more greens.  The tongue was not as tough as I thought it would be.  In fact it was quite tender and delicious.  The pork belly, like lechon, went the fastest.  What do you expect from a table full of Filipinos + one Korean who loves pork. Should've ordered 3 of those. lol.  What I liked about this pad siu ewe is the greens were not cooked with everything else but blanched then added for the final mix.  They  still had a crunch and didn't have a bitter taste from over cooking.  Just right I'd say.  Now the banana frawns were interesting.  They were okay.  Just like the bbq chicken and chicken wings.  They were also good but I have had them before except there was a richer depth of flavor from some of the subtle seasoning they used.  Spring rolls are spring rolls.  I ate one only to taste because that's something I have had many times.  I wanted more of the other dishes to fill by belly. Over all excellent, excellent food.  I could not be any happier.  We all had more than enough and there were no left overs except for rice. I now understood why my cousin was adamant to getting us all there by 4:30pm. I would do the same.  Although they don't open till 5:00pm you always have those, especially in a large group, who will come more than fashionably late.

The food menu was so tempting and the drinks offered were delicious accompaniments. We ordered the baked rice with prawns and egg as a main and it was so divine. The meal was served within 10 minutes of being seated. The rice was amazingly fragrant, fresh and had a subtle spicy zing. The coconut juice with blended ice was so refreshing and not overly sweet. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The meals are divine, reasonably priced and the staff are attentive. What more could you ask for?

I went here on their grand opening day at the end of August 2015. They had a 50% off dine-in deal…read morefor their opening day only, so I took advantage of that for dinner and first ordered a pad see iw. I consider myself a regular pad see iw connoiseur so I feel like I have to try every thai place's pad see iw as the control group for all thai restaurants across the board to judge the restaurant overall. They were super busy and slightly unorganized as I remember they were still building and putting together the outdoor tables and chairs together as there was a line of people already waiting to dine in. I feel like they could've maybe took an extra day to be ready with all that. The staff also didn't seem like they were 100% on top of everything and a bit scattered and overwhelmed by everything, but I'll just leave that to the fact that they weren't expecting such a high amount of customers on their opening day. They were all really nice and pleasant though, just had to deal with a lot of waiting and constant calling for assistance. Had it been any other day than opening day, I would've probably complained and docked a star rating. But on to the food... The pad see iw came in decent time for them being busy, and it was yummy! Very flavorful, fresh and hot from the wok, presentation was pretty, and if I could've, I would've ordered a second helping. My only critique to it was that it had a lemon wedge with the dish. Isn't it traditionally a lime to be included? It didn't make too much of a difference because I still enjoyed a little lemon citrus on my dish, but I think next time I'd prefer a lime. But as I said, the pad see iw did not disappoint. Secondarily to pad see iw, I'll order a pad thai as well. I was dining by myself but the pad see iw was so delicious that I couldn't help but order the pad thai as well. The pad thai was just as tasty and enjoyable. Came with a lemon wedge as well, and again, would prefer a lime wedge next time. I'm glad I ordered 2 dishes becuase I was able to have some to take home for the next day. I should mention that on the menu, these dishes weren't simply called "pad see iw" and "pad thai", but we're called something slightly different and I had to ask the servers what they were on their menu. My rating is just on those 2 dishes alone. I'm definitely planning to go back and see if the 2 dishes still uphold their first impression.

I normally do all the party organising so I was a bit weary. But I had to commend him, I was very impressed. The restaurant was packed when we walked, that is always a good sign. They have tried to create that Thai, Balinese environment with the furniture which is great and all the girls serving you are Thai and so are the chefs, that is also a good sign. Most people in our group opted for the banquet which consisted of a variety of dishes. One of our guests suggested it wasn't enough so they ordered another main to share between 2. I can understand why, the food was absolutely delicious. I could not stop eating. I ordered a main, my favourite Thai dish - $15.90 - Chilli, Chicken & Basil Stir Fry. Bloody delicious. I also love Thai food but I am a huge critic. It has to be authentic tasting and have lots of chilli in it! I could not fault this place. The food was delicious and they served really big portions. I also tried the chicken fried rice, it also was good. The Banquet was good value - $25p.p for a minimum group of 4. We couldn't believe how fast the food came out. I am sure this was due to the flaming kitchen! You know it's a talented chef when he can have the kitchen bursting in flames and still send the food out not tasting burnt. Good prices, good food, generous portions, friendly waitresses - you can't go wrong.

I've dragged many a reluctant thai virgin here and converted them. I myself started to enjoy Thai food when I was introduced here. Yes, it's that yum. The service is very friendly and thai, they cater to whatever customisation whims you may have. The decor is clean and comfy, sort of a Balinese inspired style going on. It's a very open air restaurant but still indoors with a relaxing ambience. They do lunch and dinner options, including takeaway and delivery. Our favourites are the satay chicken skewers, marinated bbq beef strips and the best chicken pad thai known to man. I don't know what type of sauce they put in it but it is the kicker! Honestly we spent a good deal of time scouring Bangkok for a chicken pad thai dish that could even taste remotely close to what they do here to no avail. It's perfect. Now you can also do choose your own stir frys or noodle dishes where you can select whatever meat or sauce or noodle type to use. Customisation options is probably why I love this place. They also do some mean curries here if that's more your speed, try the massaman. There's plenty of choice for mains also. You can see the cooks cooking up a storm which results in being served food very quickly. They serve large portions so usually end up having to takeaway. I've yet to have a bad experience here and the prices very affordable here for the quality and quantity served which amounted to the five stars. Always recommend this place!

The food is delicious and the portions are on the generous size. The prices are reasonable and you will often get complimentary rice with your meals. The chargrilled turmeric and lemongrass chicken(thigh) with a small mint salad with dressing is fantastic. Although it would be nice with a little coriander and chilli. The green chicken curry is the best I have ever had; coconut milky, abundant asian herbs, spicy and sweet. The red curry chicken is also equally as wonderful. The hot and sour soup with oyster mushrooms and a few garlic prawns also had abundant flavours. The only downside is that their online lunch menu lists papaya salad with chicken. However this is not available at the restaurant. I was not a fan of their yellow curry chicken which was more like a slow cooked curry dish. Best Thai Restaurant in Parramatta.

Located within walking distance (for me) we've tried this place twice before I decided to review. I don't like to be disillusioned from a successful first time visit and going twice ensures checking whether the service is consistent when it's different staff. So? This restaurant passed the test. The food is very much on par with other local Thai joints , if you know Parramatta you know the Thai place I'm talking about. What makes this restaurant stand out from the other Thai eats is the drinks. There's alot of Thai-competition in this suburb so you can't help but do comparisons, but knowing that if you choose here it'll be one of the top 3 choices worth going for at least. It's also open spaced but small, like it's squeezed into the apartment building, which is why it feels hidden I suppose. Give a try, Thai food is cheap what do you have to lose eh.
