Now that I am an adult living out of home, I still like to come here for some delicious Thai food and my opinion has not changed. I have tried many of their dishes and have never left this place without a huge smile and full stomach. On the menu, there is a 'Thai Terrace Specialties', from that section, I highly recommend the 'Banana Leaf Chicken'. This dish has the most amazing burst of flavour jam packed on tiny pieces of chicken. Order this dish with coconut rice on the side to balance out the spices, it works a treat. Other dishes I like are the 'Green Curry fried rice', 'Pad Thai', and 'Mussaman Beef'. It is not the cheapest restaurant in the area, but it is worth it. If you are on the hunt for the best Thai restaurant in Brisbane, well look no further because 'Thai Terrace' is the place you have been looking for.

Some friends and I were next door renting DVDs from Civic Video and had been planning to grab dinner somewhere in Rosalie Village before movie marathoning on someone's couch. We did a quick circuit and settled on Thai Terrace owing to it's breezy, spacious front terrace. Plenty of outdoor tables is always a plus at a restaurant, especially in the Queensland climate. We sat down and our menus were brought straight over. After much discussion about sharing and who wanted what, we had come up with a lengthy and complex order which always makes me a bit nervous because restaurants can be prone to messing those up. I needn't have worried because the food came out after only a short wait and nothing was missing and everything was tasty and authentic. We all agreed that it had been a successful meal and that we'd picked the right restaurant and ordered well. We thought the staff and service at Thai Terrace had been far above average and that the prices were very reasonable (especially once we split the bill per head). Nothing like having a good Thai place next to your video store!

So when I was puttling around the northside of Brisbane, didn't even know that there was a suburb called Gaythorne by the way, and when my boyfriend now husband at the time told me, I actually asked him if he was joking. True story. So being fans of the Thai cuisine, I was out to search for a mean Pad Thai, my weakness. Always with chicken. Amazing Thai sits perfectly on the corner of Samford and Gaythorne road. The owner is this cute little Thai lady who really does do everything. There are a few wait staff sometimes, but the shop isn't that big and they can get away with just 1 or 2 extras on busy nights. The Money Bags in this place was my first experience. The water chestnuts, the minced chicken meat, the crunchy fresh ingredients wow. Then we had the Pad Thai, a Green Curry with Chicken and a Beef Stirfry. There is a difference between throwing things into a mess together and frying them at a high heat to throwing the ingredients at the right times to make the perfect flavour and combination. Amazing Thai do serve amazing food. The food tastes fresh, tastes quality and tastes like Thailand. You can usually get a table here, but on a busy night, try making a booking first as the restaurant only seats a small amount of people. True to their name, gold star all the way.

Personal favourites of mine of mine for starters (if they have any) are the Crystal Balls or stuffed chicken wings. Mains I usually attack any of their massamam curries or the tom yum soup. The staff are always around and looking to serve you and fill up your water. Another great thing about Thai Ways is that it is BYO and the closest bottle shop is about ten meters down the street. The food is pretty simple, not totally authentic as far as other Thai restaurants around Brisbane but that probably helps in keeping the prices down. That and its an absolute pleasure to dine there. I recommend it to everyone.

I got there just after 15 minutes and I was actually late. I didn't have to wait. I ordered the green curry, coconut prawns, drunken noodle, basil chicken and fried rice. They all tasted great. So far this is the best food joint I have visited in Albion and 4011 post code region combined. The food wasn't bland, it had full of favors and the serving size was excellent. Definitely would be back for another takeaway and eat in (decorations are amazing).

I order the 'Whole Red Snapper with Crunchy Garlic' and 'Thai Green Chicken Curry'. Oh you just can't go wrong- The fish; crispy on the outside, nice and soft in the inside. The curry; extremely tasty, except, I did find it to be a bit too soupy for my liking. But this never stops me from ordering it, I just eat more rice with it. This place is very accommodating for talkative families and for girls-night-out dinners as they have the sound absorbing spongy padding on the ceiling. Now, I wouldn't say you go there and treat the place like a pub and get as loud as you want, I think it's just an extra feature they have to make sure their customers have a pleasant meal with other diners voices absorbed into the ceiling as opposed to echoing about. I encourage anyone who's near Graceville to visit. Make sure you make reservations for Friday and Saturday nights as they usually have limited tables if you go without a booking.

The coconut rice was nice and hot and the mains were reasonable in taste but not in price, mains from $22 onwards. The chillies in soy sauce was really nice and served in the cutest elephant bowl. The LLB and the Thai lemon iced tea was nicely priced at $4.50 and was pretty good. The staff were super polite and very efficient and I really appreciated that. I'd probably come again on somebody else's say so or a special occasion but not if I want a Thai meal at a median price. Having said that, this place probably would not give you a bad experience so it's worth a visit.

If there's one thing that I've learned about Thai restaurants and takeaways, it's never judge the establishment by the way it appears. When I first arrived, my initial though was, I knew it was too good to be true. It was only that afternoon when my wife and I oow'd and ahh'd over a new thai menu found in our letterbox. We'd tried everything around the area and were happy to find a new place to indulge in. We ordered and were told our pick up would be ready in twenty minutes. This was great. When served at the counter, I was told that our food would be another five minutes. This was forgivable. When the plastic containers came out, steam building in the transparent containers, I took notice of the vibrant colours of the curries and warm beef salad we had ordered. That was reassuring. Arriving at home and opening our dinner, we were surprised that there was a genuine fresh look to the meals. The aromas themselves indicated that our meals hadn't been taken from some big pot of premade food. Compared to similar takeaways Chinpala Kitchen, doesn't serve as much, but makes it up in pure contentment through oral satisfaction.
