Last minute spontaneous decision for a meal out on the weekend lead us to this place. We called around 4pm they still had a table for 2 although once there it was clear this is a favourite with the locals. The food was absolutely delicious, from the prawn crackers at the start to the dumplings for starters-delicious balls of minced prawns and pork covered in a thick soy sauce' right through to the mains which were pork pad see ew and lamb curry' so deliciously tender.
Having seen the portion sizes of the tables around prior to getting our meal we were a little nervous that they were quite small but it definitely was enough food as we didn't go for any desserts being too full! Atmosphere was nice, a family homely feel and the wait staff were very friendly. The only down side was the service time. It was just that bit too long between orders, meals, clearing the table etc that we found ourselves looking around for the staff. The tables next to us were also experiencing the same thing. I'm not sure it that's normal, am going to give them the benefit of the doubt though as the food was that good I would definitely go back and recommend this place to others. Yum! read more
