I have no problem with the price if the food is worth it, although nothing about this entire experience has been worth it I understand that this was the first time I ordered although such massive problems cant have just only happened to me. The wontons were so small with meat I thought they had made a mistake and only put in the crispy bits. I was told that this is the way they do it. The containers were some of the smallest I have ever seen and were not even filled. One of the containers (which was at the bottom of the bag) had a corner broken off of it and was blamed on delivery, although when I explained it was at the bottom of the bag and there was no broken plastic anywhere I was informed it was still the delivery drivers fault (who was on a moped, which is understandable if there was eveidence of the broken piece)......... Does this mean that the delivery drivery driver picked out the broken piece or that the person who handled my food container was so careless that they didnt even realise????? There was no display of the fact that I would get dipping sauce with my won tons so I ordered a sauce (£2.50) and when my order came there was a sauce already with it, fine thats not a problem, in fact thats a good thing I get free sauce with my won tons, although maybe a side note when im ordering it wouldve been good so I knew that there was already sauce with it so i didnt have to buy sauce for no reason. The menu is a bit of an eclectic mix of Oriental cuisine and prices are about what you would expect from a takeaway. Usually, I order as I pass the shop so couldn't comment on the speed of a telephone delivery order. The staff are always friendly when you are in the shop and it doesn't take too long to wait for your food. They do serve up a very good salt and chilli squid and this dish is probably what keeps me returning. A lot of the bean curd dishes are also quite nice and as a vegetarian for most of my visits here, I never felt like I was getting fobbed off with after thought dishes. There are better Chinese takeaways in the city for sure, but there are also far worse.

The food was of a good quality, not over doing the greasy MSG that is so often present. I can't comment on the restaurant experience, but the decor is tradtional and relaxing, certainly nice enough to take a gamble.

Ros Thai now embodies everything I love about Thai food, they offer food that is bursting in fresh flavour and wonderful subtleties. The family element to the ownership meant that I could have faith in the origin and authenticity of my food, something that was vindicated after eating. I got a delicious Pad Thai and fish cakes, costing just over £10, which is neither cheap nor expensive. For the quality though, I certainly felt I had got value for money.

Loads of potatoes, aubergine, courgette and tomatoes topped with a melted cheesy top. Much better than versions I had had elsewhere and so big that I finished inky half (and took the rest to go!) My partner had the soutzoukakia which were long meatballs in tomato sauce. Also delicious! It came with a side of rice. Both dishes also came with a side of salad and chips. And you know what? They may well be right... Having been steadily working my way through the Agra's menu since September, I haven't yet found a bad dish. Their curries are tasty without being overwhelmingly spicy and unlike a lot of curry houses, their meals aren't swimming in fat. But do they pass the ultimate test that of the non-soggy onion bhaji? Of course they do. I even order double so I can eat them to next day. Lush. The only downside (if you live anywhere other than right on top of it, like me) is that it doesn't deliver. And I must admit, it's for that reason that on a cold, rainy night we have gone elsewhere for our Friday night curry fix to save ourselves from changing out of our pyjamas and donning waterproof jackets to walk the five minutes there and back again. But when the weather is fair enough for us to shake off our laziness and venture out to collect our order, we've never had to wait more than half an hour, even after 8 o'clock on a Saturday night. Their prices aren't bad either a fair few dishes come with rice included in the price at no extra cost compared with other places, which saves a few pennies on side orders. Having been unable, thus far, to sample every curry house in all of Brighton & Hove I can't comment definitively, but as far as a good Ruby goes this is definitely one of the best you'll find.

I normally order the chicken passanda and the lamb tikka, both of which are as good as i've had anywhere else. I'd definitely recommend Agra if you're looking for a new curry house.
