Chicken Satay with Peanut sauce
Virginia M.

While visiting Bentonville I decided to check for a Thai place. This place had good reviews so I gave it a shot. The chicken satay was good, the peanut sauce has good flavor as well. The Pad Thai was eaten last so it might have been a little better eaten sooner. The noodles were a little dry and it didn't have much flavor. But it was still pretty good. If I ordered it again I would ask for extra lime because that helped quite a bit but it was a huge portion. Cost was about $25.

Green curry with chicken (to go) Super dry, and disappointing.

I've had good service and food that I really enjoyed here when I sat down in the restaurant a couple years ago. I tried to order for pickup tonight and they hung up on me saying I was staticky (I live a block away) I called back immediately and it was fine. My to go order was a normal small box of rice for one and green curry with chicken, medium spice. My food was so bland, I added salt at home and it improved the food flavor. I was really disappointed. I won't order here "to go" again. It was about $19 for one person serving of bland curry with a tip. Dinner tonight was worse than whatever I could fix from leftovers. Unfortunate for the price I paid.

This place never disappoints! I tried this restaurant 6-7 years ago after a recommendation. I don't get to go very often because it isn't near my house, but when I do go it is always a treat. They have a large menu with plenty of options. Their house salad dressing is awesome, and they sell dressing to go. I highly recommend for a date night or just to try something new.

Pad See Ew

Called in a to-go order of Pad-See-Ew (medium spice) and my order was ready in 10 minutes. This was my first time ordering Pad-See-Ew from here, and I was a little disappointed - it did not have much sauce on it, but they definitely got my medium spice level correct. My napkins were placed partially in the box, so they were unusable. My to-go order did not come with any soy sauce or fortune cookie like it usually does. Not sure if I need to ask for those when I call in the order.

Love this place. Since it's the same owners as taste of Thai this is no surprise. Amazingly fresh authentic Thai food.

Absolutely delicious! It was so good that I wanted to lick the plate!…read more We came for a Monday lunch and each had the combo lunch special that came with fried rice, stir-fried vegetables and a spring roll. I chose broccoli beef and basil chicken (minus the bell pepper) at a spice level of two. Everything was cooked perfectly, meat was abundant and the flavors were outstanding. Even the spicy/vinagary egg roll sauce was tasty. The restaurant was clean and pleasant too. I can't wait to try more of their dishes, although I would imagine it would be hard to top what I had! I guess I will just have to take my chances! Check it out!

The restaurant is kind of small and very clean decorated minimally in Thai decor. We were greeted quickly and found a seat. After reviewing the menu we placed our orders. I was surprised how quickly food came. I ordered chicken Tom Yum soup not realizing it would feed 4 people. It was delicious and full of chicken. I then had the Special Grill Chicken. This dish had so many flavors, it too was delicious. There were so many items on the menu I have never seen at a Thai restaurant before. I ordered Panang Curry to take home for the next day. I was not surprised, it to was delicious. I took home so much food because the servings were so large. I look forward to coming back. Service was great and price was very fair.

Concrete floors, industrial ceiling, metal chairs and tables and an open kitchen. It's very nice, but it just wasn't what I expected. They have team service, and I like the idea of it. But in practice, it was initially bumpy and overwhelming. We got asked for our drink order like 3 times, by 3 different people in less than 5 minutes. The service itself was preventing me from being able to read the menu! There are some unique cocktails, so I actually needed to focus and read about them. Our food was really, really good. We ordered a couple appetizers (wish they had fresh spring rolls in addition to the fried ones), and my husband had the Crying Tiger Steak, which was mouthwatering (though pretty fatty/gristly -- could've used a tad more butchering). Both the appetizers and my husband's steak came with specific instructions from the server of how to eat it properly: first put this on it, then add this, etc. It's not my favorite when chefs tell me HOW to eat their food. Can I just eat it? And figure it out for myself, how I like it? We aren't from Arkansas, and from what I can see, House 1830 is not a typical local restaurant, which is great. The chef was out of the country when we were there (at a food competition?), so not sure how that factored in to our visit. I'd recommend going there -- just wanted to clarify some things from other reviewers.

The joint is pleasant. They play good music, and the walls are decorated with posters of the menu's items. We were seated and waited upon quite quickly. The menu is large but not overwhelming. Before we'd ordered, we were brought bowls of Coconut Soup. Never in all my days of eating and cooking have I tasted a soup so fine, so balanced, so warming and charming as this coconut soup. The day was no longer gray. I noticed the clouds of my heart part and evaporate as the steam rolled off the top of the soup. After ordering, we sipped and sat. Within 5 minutes BOOM our food had arrived. I had the drunken noodles at a level 5 of spice, and my buddy had the Pad Thai at a 4. As a gringo, I have an alright tolerance for spice. This 5, however, whooped me. It was delicious yet challenging, like deadlifting 425 with no belt. A 4 is maybe best for the average joe. Overall, buddy and I had a grand time. The prices, the flavors, the service, and atmosphere will have coming back. Thank you, Thai Cuisine.
