My Yelp search turned up Glöckle as a possibility for lunch. I was really looking for a place where I could get some Nürnberger brats and sauerkraut and I found one. I was not disappointed. I know we are a long way from Nürnberg, but for me this is one of the best things in Germany and I did not want to leave without at least one such meal. Glöckle serves them in orders of five or eight. Five is plenty with the side orders and we both chose that serving. They come with sauerkraut or potato salad. We both ordered with kraut and I added a side of fried potatoes. This was a perfect lunch, washed down with a Binding Pilsner. It was one of the very best meals from a nearly two week trip that included some very good food. It's my kind of thing and Glöckle did it well. We had excellent, friendly service in a local spot. Highly recommended.

The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We did the full multi course dinner and enjoyed several of the dishes. We were at the restaurant for 3.5 hours which was a little long for our taste after a long day of travel, but we felt well taken care of. The plating of the different courses was stunning. A lot of the flavors played really well together. We're big fans of steak and unfortunately we were disappointed with the wagyu filet at Carmelo Greco. The wagyu filet was from Japan and should've been the star of the show and stood on its own with little to no other ingredients. Instead, it was paired with a bitter balsamic and other ingredients that took away from the quality of the meat. The restaurant itself was cozy and inviting.

I was in Frankfurt for work and made it my goal to try a Michelin Star restaurant during my stay…read more Showed up at 21:30 on a Wednesday evening without a reservation. There was only one other gentleman in the restaurant so pretty much had the whole place to myself. Their tasting menu offers 7 items (including dessert) and you have the option to choose from 3-7 items. Overall, the meal was good and each dish was creative, making it exciting to eat. My favorites from the menu were the scallops and the trout. I didn't quite understand the parmigiano "flan" as they called it. The orange-espresso reduction sauce clashed with the spongey cheese flan... there were just too many strong flavors going on in the dish for me. I'm thankful that Carmelo Greco was able to accommodate my last minute arrival, I was there till almost 11pm despite them closing at 10pm. The only downside of my experience here was that there were a few little flies that kept bothering me throughout my entire meal. One eventually landed and died inside my wine... it was very distracting to have to constantly swat the flies (and looking like a crazy person). They kept landing on the bread and onto my wine glass.

For starters my husband and I shared a seaweed salad and some endamame. The main dishes were not very tasty. My husband had a beef with fried rice dish (he is gluten intolerant & placed order before reading they could substitute noodles with rice noodles). His dish was basically rice. I ordered the salmon, noodle Thai red curry dish but must have confused out waitress as my dish came out with no salmon - it was vegetarian. I said not to bother cooking salmon as was very hungry at that point. There was not a huge amount of vegetables in my dish - no broccoli, only some zucchini, carrots, bean sprouts, and cabbage. All in all it was rather dismal. The waitress recommended this dish she said it was very popular. I would try a salad if I went back again.
