Our waitress greeted us and took our beverage order. Our starters were 4 Piece Crab Rangoon and 5 Piece Pot Sticker. The Crab Rangoon was super crunchy and surprisingly meaty. I loved them. The Pot Stickers were lacking in flavor. The sauces were also pretty much flavorless. For entre, I ordered Combo Woon-Sen Pad Thai, a combo with shrimp, beef, and chicken, and noodles. V ordered something very similar, with the same proteins, but with rice. Both dishes were fresh and tasty. The waitress was prompt and courteous. The restaurant was comfortable, if not high-end.

We were shown a table away from the door as it was really cold that day, so the staff were quite considerate. There was also a sushi bar area. We opted for ordering from the menu which comes with appetizers. When inquired about gluten free options, the staff explained clearly what could be gluten free. When the food arrived, we were quite impressed that they do take allergen seriously. The put a gluten free indicator on the dish to make sure it was clearly marked. In term of the taste, they were delicious. I particularly like the soup, it was flavorful, and definitely good for a cold day! The portion of all the dishes were plentiful that we brought home some left over. Check out Somkit if you find yourself in Dixon.

As someone not super…read morefamiliar with Thai cuisine, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but everything from the flavors to the portions was top-notch. We ordered for pickup and the food was ready in just 15 minutes. The inside felt modern and minimal, with limited seating and a steady crowd of diners and takeout customers, which is always a good sign. We tried the shrimp spring rolls, chicken Pad Thai, drunken noodles with chicken, and the chicken pineapple fried rice. First off, those shrimp spring rolls? 10/10. Super fresh, light, and the perfect way to kick off the meal. The Pad Thai--Oy's signature dish--was the highlight. Easily the best I've ever had. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The drunken noodles were right behind it--loaded with flavor and a sneaky little heat. We went with the normal spice level, but beware: those little red peppers pack a serious punch. (Keep a tissue handy... or a glass of milk. Or both.) The pineapple fried rice was solid. Not quite as bold or savory as Chinese-style fried rice, but still tasty and a nice complement to the spicier mains. Overall, Oy's delivers some of the best Thai food in the south suburbs. The menu is short and sweet, but every dish is cooked to order--and it shows. If you're new to Thai food or just looking to level up your takeout game, this spot is absolutely worth it.

Service has always been good when I went. I've probably gone under 10x and given enough tries at the new and old locations. Every time there's always something that goes wrong but I continue to come back because family and friends love it and I always try something else when I come in. Food is always edible most of the time but not great. I've had hair in my burger before. Other Burgers were overcooked and flavorless. Mac and cheese is disgusting. Sushi menu is kinda repeat and all fried / tempora. Pretty basic and boring and if you're gluten free you're kinda SOL. Crab Rangoon is imitation crab. Gross. This last time I went for a goodbye dinner to a coworker moving: Drinks- Table got a pitcher of white sangria- it was ok but way overpriced. I got the strawberry basil lemonade drink and it sucked. It lacked taste. I'n convinced it was water and not lemonade, nothing puree about it, & there was no basil in it besides used as a piece of decor. Sushi- I showed the waitress a picture of the roll I saw on someone review and that it claimed it was a Ottawa roll but it was not and 10/10 a different role that was given to me. Luckily I will eat anything and it actually wasn't bad but what the hell. Truffle fries- beer battered. Yuck. Mac & Cheese- I thought it used to be not bad but I got it this last time as a side and it was different noodles, thick, no creamy cheese sauce, & no seasoning. Dessert- 10/10 made the trip worth it. I hate fried ice cream and not a huge brownie person but that dessert was amazing. The beignet with caramel- yessss. I never get the hype of the food but think it's because there's not much around like this for locals. If someone wanted to go back I wouldn't not go but I am not a fan.
