Tong the manager greeted me as soon as I entered the restaurant. I was really surprised how easily the pork bellies I ordered melted in my mouth with a taste that knocked me out! The restaurant is very welcoming and has a at home environment. I know that my Muay Thai kickboxing teacher would love it there!!! INSTAGRAM: JKD Sifu Mike Goldberg

I'm a loyal customer to my favorite Thai and lao restaurant. However, whenever i've tried everything on the menu and I start feeling like I live there, it's time to venture out! Good ol Yelp led me to Thai Barn. It's in a little strip center off of Western Center. Tucked into a corner. Small place. First visit, I had pork and Chinese broccoli. The pork had a good crispyness and good flavor. I love Chinese broccoli. It's superior to regular broccoli. The lad na was good with the lovely gravy. The money bags were tasty with fried chicken skin with ground chicken inside. My 2nd visit I had the lao steak. Tender meat and delicious. Khao piek Sen was good as well. Service was good. Enjoyed the Mason Jar of sweet tea.

We always enjoy dining at Thai Barn--it's truly our favorite go-to spot for Lao food. Everything there is just perfect. When we used to live around the corner, we ordered takeout twice a week because we couldn't get enough! Now that we're in Dallas, we haven't found anything quite like it on this side of town. My husband's favorite dishes are Khao Piek Sen and Pad Kee Mao, both packed with the perfect balance of flavor and spice. We usually go for spice level 3 or 4, which always hits just right. Beyond the incredible food, the people at Thai Barn make the experience even better. Everyone is super friendly, and the restaurant has felt like home from day one. They know our names and have treated us like family from the very beginning--and that hasn't changed. The restaurant itself is always clean and well-maintained, without that old, lingering smell that some places have. Overall, Thai Barn exceeds our expectations in every way. If you're looking for amazing food, great service, and a warm, family-oriented atmosphere, this is the place! We only wish they'd open a location on our side of town!

Best kao piek in Fort Worth. Very nice staff. Food is authentic, would recommend it if you are around the area wanting authentic and fair priced Thai/Lao food.

Best Pad Kee Mao in Fort Worth - spicy levels are aggressive. Highly recommended this place!

Okay restaurant, nice decoration and big area. Food portion is a bit smaller. Papaya salad was good but the noodle dishes is more like lunch portions Papaya salad 4/5 this was good. We got served laos style. Good portion, a bit salty but great with sticky rice. I love the raw green beans. Chicken wings 2/5 barely any seasoning, very bland chicken wings that comes with dipping sauce on the side. But the thai chicken wing flavor is lost. Pad kee mao - 3/5 this was pretty good as well, but portion wise its kinda small. The color of this dish should be way darker, I'm not sure if this is the authentic way it should be, but it is not as colorful. Lard na - 3/5 this was good too but also not as flavorful, alot of saucy but barely any noodles, they give alot of meat tho. The noodles that they use for their flat noodles is okay, my brother did not like it because it is the store bought precut ones. Usually for the flat noodles they are thicker and bigger.

Great service and food is delicious. I ordered their Tom yum and was not disappointed. Better than most places I've been too.

They were good and fresh. I'd like to have had some fresh basil inside them. The peanut sauce was Devine. The perfect compliment. The crab Rangoon was soooo good. Lightly crispy in texture and delicious. One of the best I've ever eaten. The chicken pad Thai was "ok". I ordered a 2 in heat level and it was served a bit more "hotter" than I'd have liked. The chili oil slightly over powered the dish. The range offered was 1-5 in terms of spice and thought I'd be safe with a 2. I'm still trying to decide if I liked it or not (I'm super picky when it comes to Thai food) Landing 3 stars for the Pad Thai. The fried rice was good as was the wonton soup. My sis enjoyed it even though she's not a huge Thai food lover. This is a hole in the wall with only 6 tables. Service was Friendly and quick. Tried to hit the 3.5 star button but couldn't quite connect it.

The outer shell was noticeably thicker and more heavily fried than usual. The filling wasn't the typical mix of glass noodles, cabbage, and carrots, it included taro, which had a softer, slightly mushy texture. The accompanying sauce was a bright red color. It wasn't bad, just not my personal favorite. I ordered the pad Thai with fried tofu at medium spice, and it could have used a bit more heat. They don't keep the dry red pepper powder on the tables, so you have to ask for it. My friend ordered the panang curry at level four spice and really enjoyed it. Overall, not a bad spot. Portions are generous, I had plenty of leftovers. The waitress was friendly and attentive.

This place is legit, the real deal! I recommend stopping by if you are in the area because it is so worth it. They are located in a small shopping strip mall thing on the Haltom city / Fort Worth border. I have had their duck, the tum yum soup, a rice noodle dish, and an appetiser I can't remember. During my most recent visit, I had the green curry with beef at a level 2 spice and the drunken noodles level 4. I love that they make sure to ask what level of spice you want on every dish because i have been to a couple of places that just make them all the same level as your main dish. In the past, I have gotten their Tum Yum soup, and its delicious. I had their pad se ew with beef, amazing. I had their spring rolls, pork belly, and they are one favorite things on the menu. I always end up ordering more than what I can eat, so i usually order dinner here and then take my leftovers for lunch to work the next day. The service here is great; they have lots of space to host a big lunch rush. Highly recommend yall try them out.
