I told the attendant about my previous experience and how scared I was, and she was genuinely shocked because of how well I handled it. I came fully prepared: bonnet, eye mask, deep breathing, the whole thing. They offered music during the MRI, which helped a lot, and between that and my meditation, I made it through . The wait beforehand was kind of long, and I did have to stay a bit after my MRI for an additional thing, which wasn't ideal. But overall, it was a decent experience, especially considering how anxious I was going in. If you're nervous about MRIs, try meditation -- the center was busy but my tech was patient and understanding.

After the scan was scheduled (2-2-26) Rayus insisted I owe a co-pay AND the remainder of my deductible-- imagining is not subject to the deducible and I tried to explain it -- long story short I put the entire amount on a credit card so that I wouldn't have to reschedule the scan. The next day I provided Rayus with a hard copy stating that I only owed the co-pay. Rayus policy was not to refund until after the claim had been processed. I now had to wait for UHC to process and I tried to get a refund in mid March. Rayus claims they refunded to my cc the over charge -- to date (4-10-26) there is no credit on my cc from Rayus. I called today spend one hour and fourteen minutes trying to rectify this and get a refund. Long story short -- Rayus claims they processed the refund on March 16 -- maybe they did process the refund but not to my credit card. I tried to speak to someone in charge of the operations -- totally denied so the only option was for me to dispute the charge on my credit card. Shame on you folks at Rayus for making someone who is ill fight for money that NEVER should have been charged. Be aware of your benefits and bring your policy -- so sad these folks call themselves caring providers -- I call them scammers.

About 15 minutes I was asked for my license normally when asked for an id they give me paperwork to fill out nope another 15 minutes go by and finally the woman behind the desk gives me stuff to fill out. I fill it out and went to give it back and no one seems to be back there. Why you ask because they were in the back with a woman laughing and chatting up a storm. So I leave my stuff on the desk. I wait and wait my paper work is still in the same spot. Finally someone comes back and I let her know I finished she says thank you and walks away leaving the papers in the same spot. Every once in a while I check to see if it has moved nope still in the same spot but this time garbage was on top of it. Finally the lady that was chatting in the back with the staff has come out to check out and yet still chatting showing pictures on her phone. But yet my paper work hasn't moved. Lady leaves and my stepmom gets up and asks how long is this going to take mind you I've been there for over an hour. The lady behind the desk says it's going to be after the lady that's before me. Yet my paper work is still there not moved garbage still in it. I can go on and on but the staff here is ridiculous. Very unprofessional and rude

After my doctor confirmed that my insurance approved the MRI and sent over the order, I followed his advice and called Beaches MRI directly to schedule, just in case the referral wasn't received or they were too busy to reach out. I called Friday morning around 9:30 AM and was sent to a voicemail that claimed it was "after hours." I initially assumed they were closed on Fridays, but later learned that this is just their default voicemail when no one answers -- a fact I confirmed when I had to call again to confirm their address and someone answered after getting the same message. Despite leaving a voicemail Friday morning, I didn't receive a call back until Monday afternoon. When I mentioned this delay, the receptionist casually apologized. I scheduled my appointment and asked multiple times about timing because, as a parent, my days are tightly packed and I have to coordinate care, rides, and meals for my family. I was told the MRI itself would take no more than 25 minutes. On the day of my appointment, I found myself with an extra hour and called to see if I could come early. Initially, they told me they were fully booked -- understandable -- but a few minutes later, I received a call that they had a cancellation and could take me early. They ask that patients arrive 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork, but I had already completed everything online as instructed. I immediately got in the car and, despite hitting every red light, still arrived 40 minutes early. Since my paperwork was already submitted, I expected a quick turnaround. Instead, I sat in the waiting room with no internet, watching a cooking show, for 40 minutes -- up to my original appointment time. Then I was brought back, changed into a gown, and sat in the hallway for another 10 minutes. At this point, I was already 25 minutes past the time I had been told I would be finished with the test. Morgan, the receptionist I'd spoken to earlier, had assured me I'd be done in time to meet my other obligations. Instead, I was left scrambling, 30 minutes behind schedule, trying to keep things on track for my family. And just when I thought the experience was done, the front desk staff asked for my ID and insurance as I was leaving. What were they doing the entire time I was waiting in their lobby? This kind of poor service -- from miscommunication and misleading time estimates to lack of follow-through -- is unacceptable. I'm tired of businesses not valuing my time or being honest about expectations. I was told the MRI would take 25 minutes max, with only 17 minutes of scan time. In the end, I spent over 90 minutes there for something that was promised to be quick and simple. There are plenty of imaging centers in the area -- I highly recommend going somewhere else. I will not return to Beaches MRI, nor will I refer others. Respect and transparency matter, and unfortunately, I didn't experience either here

The lady at this one was nice, and she was able to close out the most recent appointment, while letting me know the actual location was in Lake Worth. So I call back, choosing the Lake Worth option just to confirm. THIS lady was horrible. I just wanted to make sure that the appointment was cancelled (although I assume the locations were all connected, I know better than to assume such a thing), so I figure it didn't hurt to make the extra effort. Right away, this person gave attitude, saying she didn't see ANY messages (like I was supposed to know what this meant and this was me at fault), and why didn't I get the name of the lady I had spoken to at the other location. I actually started to snap back and tell her I can call the other location back since this seemed to be such an ordeal for her. She relented somewhat, but the damage was already done. During my frustration dealing with this thing, I had forgotten to cancel the future appointment a few months away. Obviously, I called back the West Palm and they were able to take care of this right away with no issue about any 'messages' being left. Realizing the next day, I was still angry about the interaction I had with Lake Worth, and I actually gave them another call. I'm 99% sure the lady I spoke to this time was not the same one from the previous day, but she patched me through to her office manager (on speakerphone nonetheless but better than nothing). I even let her know I probably would not have had an issue, but the fact one of her employees was so rude over the phone; what if someone just lost a family member and had to deal with this? I kindly let this supervisor know whomever I spoke to the previous day wouldn't know (or care) which is infuriating. She clearly shouldn't be working with the public, much less a sensitive medical setting. Doubtful she will be reprimanded but just a note to people considering doing business with this particular location; they have an insufferable employee on the front lines. People such as her would possibly be better fit in a prison setting.
