I ordered a rental textbook from their online store. They sent me the wrong one. I returned the book for a full refund minus shipping and I received my refund. I rent my textbooks from Textbook Solutions (online) for every semester. The books are always in great condition, and they ship very fast! This semester I saved about $500 on my books. Would give 0 Stars if I could. I was no longer able to log in to my account conveniently during the time that my book was due to return. I was charged multiple late charges and was told that they were unable to refund me the late fees because I didnt let them know. I tried calling the 832 number listed on their website and no one picks that up. Hours are supposed to be 9am-7pm weekly however no matter what time of the day I called no one answered. I called the college station # and someone picked up after 15 mins waiting. Was told I would be emailed a label since I am not able to login. They did not address the issue about me not being able to login. This place is a joke. You are willing to charge my card multiple times with in a week of the semester ending for late fee but wont address why I am no longer able to login to my account. read more

I always go to Textbook Solutions for my textbooks! Even when I have to buy them new or buy lab manuals they're a little cheaper than the bookstore. The staff is always helpful and are more than willing to help when needed. One thing that I love about Textbook Solutions is their unique different delivery options, my favorite being same day delivery where they will actually deliver it to your house. This is the worst company ever. I rented a book from this company and I never received it. The first excuse was the vendor canceled the order but never notified me. They promise to have it expedite it but after 5 days, still no book. They offered to refund the shipping cost and give a 10% discount. Promise delivery in 3 days. Never received the book - contacted them again. The 3rd excuse was -it won't ship for another 2 weeks. Classes started on 1/3/20, they finally completely refunded me for the money I spent. I always get my books from here because they give you great discounts and more options to rent unlike BN. Plus the staff are soooo friendly! I called in today 10 minutes to closing (which I know can be annoying) and Valeria greeted me so warmly and helped me switch my delivery options, which made it more convenient for me to receive my books. She was hands down the most friendly and helpful person I spoke to today so if you are assisted by her, you are in good hands. I'm never going back to Barnes & Noble! read more

I have had a terrible experience with textbook solutions. DO NOT use their website to order books whether you are picking up in person or getting them shipped to your house. I decided to use textbook solutions because they had a book I needed in stock. I ordered to rent a book online and chose the option to pick it up in person (it was more expensive to rent here than Amazon or Chegg but I needed the book for the next day). I showed up to textbook solutions the next day to pick up my book and I am told that they shipped the book already. I told them this was wrong and showed them my receipt which stated pick up in store, and it did not have a shipping charge on there because they charge for shipping. I was told there was nothing they could do and I could not cancel the order or return the books when I got them. It has been 8 days later and I still have not received my books even though the shipping address is just across town from their store. I HAVE to have the book tomorrow so I went back to the store today to see what was going on. The only thing they could do was pull up a tracking number AND AN AMAZON RECEIPT. They ordered the book from Amazon and then we're sending it to my house... I should have ordered the book myself from Amazon and used my Prime membership to receive it in two days. This has just been an absolute nightmare of an experience. read more

It's a good bookstore with great customer service. I bought an access key that said had already been used or was not valid so I went to return it and after proving that it really wasn't working they were more than happy to give me a refund. The books are cheaper than those at the MSC but sometimes you can get even more of a discount if you buy the books or the software online. read more

Usually very fast and nice, but I don't really appreciate that they took my binder when I returned my loose-leaf textbook. You also don't always get a ton of money back selling textbooks to them which I guess is expected but only getting $10 for a $150 book is ridiculous anywhere. read more

I placed an order with textbook solutions on January 31, for one textbook (2.5 weeks into the start of the school year). The book never left their store, and when I called to request a refund on Monday March 18th I was told explicitly that I would receive a refund in 2 to 3 business days. Today 2 business days later I received a call claiming that I would no longer be receiving a refund because they had "lost money" by not being able to sell that book to anyone else. I would understand if the book had left the store and was returned outside of the grace period, but after forgetting about the book, not being contacted at all to pick it up, and then receiving verbal confirmation that I would receive a refund, I found it extremely unprofessional that the manager said "yes [they] would be going back on their word" and "I would not be receiving a refund". The lack of care for their customers is deplorable. If you want to pay for a book to be moved from one shelf to another and never lay eyes on it you should rent/buy from textbook solutions. I will no longer be purchasing from them and encourage you to do the same. There are plenty of other companies that care about students and do not intend to treat them as walking dollar signs. Update: A manager with textbook solutions-Alicia-reached out to me the next day. She listened thoroughly to the entire situation and apologized on behalf of the staff for the mistreatment, and misinformation I received. She acknowledged the mistake that was made, attended to my personal well being, and validated my thoughts on the transgressions. I was given a refund, but she ultimately won me over with her compassion and integrity. I deeply appreciated the time she took to call me and speak with me, not at me. She personally emanated the qualities of a management team I would have loved to interact with initially. read more

I ordered textbooks here a couple of times and they were never shipped to me like they said, I had to go in and pick them up which is a horrible experience because it is extremely small and crowded, probably because no one is getting their books shipped to them. If you rent, a binder does not come with it but they expect you to give them a binder THAT YOU OWN when you return it instead of putting it in one of the millions of binders they have in stock. This makes me especially mad because I had to buy large, expensive binders since most of their rentals are loose leaf. The manager didn't really seem to care about keeping me as a customer. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. There's plenty of book rental/retail places online and in college station that are much more convenient and friendlier. read more

Complete disaster. I ordered two books from this company that I need relatively quickly. Got an email advertising 'free same-day shipping' and was thrilled, but when I tried to place an order with the code, I was told it was invalid. Weird that an incorrect code was emailed to me, but I carried on and started a chat online with customer service to see what was happening. I was told the code wouldn't work because the book I was ordering was out of stock at their location - again, weird, didn't see why that should matter, but whatever - and was in the end offered free two-day shipping. Not as great, but I took it. Placed my orders to find out two days later that the 'code' I was given BY a member of staff at this company was *fake* or simply did *not* work and instead my order was processed with standard shipping. I am beyond frustrated and will not be able to do my work very well until my books are planned to arrive, TEN DAYS after I placed the order. Never buying from here again ! read more

Go elsewhere. I ordered my book on 7/25. I received a confirmation email and then radio silence. No ship date no tracking number. Today 8/3 CHAT support said delivery attempt was 7/31. I said no it wasn't. CHAT told me my book is being delivered to VT. Uhm I'm not even in that state! They will not issue a refund until they receive the book. What if that is never? NOW I have to borrow $ to buy a textbook rather than rent. Classes start very soon! Ashley the snotty CSR in Texas told me to call USPS to find my book yet I have no tracking number! A good company would, and what I would do, is say let me call you Monday after WE track your book down. WE will overnite a book to you if you do not receive it by 8/8. This is a horrible company and they DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I have alerted all the student organizations I'm affiliated with to order from another place. I ordered textbook in the first week of January, 2017 and somebody contact me to confirm billing and shipping address. I already gave out and leave the voice mail on the phone they have provided. Later couple of days I sent an email on their website and leave the message and confirmed my address. However, my book suppose to deliver in 5-6 days as per the terms and conditions and I am checking my mail on regular basis and since past 10 days I have not received the book which I have to have before 2 weeks before. It is really a nightmare and the customer service and shipping department is very poor. Please don't expect the books right away 2-3 days after order from them.
