Unfortunately, that's where the praise ends. Don't get me wrong, the lounge does have nice recliners, but it completely lacks that "home" feeling. It's just uninviting, and not a place you actually want to hang out in. It's a shame because having the space for great parking is a huge win, but corporate still fails to invest in making the inside feel welcoming for the drivers. This Fairfield is very clean, from the bathroom to the bed and living area, everything (on my March 2026 stay there) was above average CLEAN. This is my #1 priority. Secondly, the linens and towels were a nice mid-grade option. I really hate thin towels or poor mattress/sheets at Super 8 (haven't been forced to stay at one since 2011). The bed and furnishings were nice, Third, AM breakfast routine was a pleasure. There were scrambled eggs and protein choices plus great coffee and the usual juice concentrate machine. Other stuff to eat, but I'm set on my favorite items. Forth, the staff was very nice and helpful. Never in the way but always available. Nice job there. Fifth, the location is convenient enough, not right on top of noisy I-35 but close enough. It is not in a crazy '13 hotel complex', but it is a block from the mall and only a few blocks to favorite eating places like Raising Cain's and Chick fil-A, Longhorn Steakhouse, etc. H.E.B. grocery store nearby, Lastly, security seemed OK for the area. No disturbances (or even sirens) during my week- long stay. I will definitely choose the Laredo Fairfield Inn again when I travel there and hope it is maintained like it is at the present time.

I was sitting on the bed & at 2pm exactly I had an employee (a man) open my door with his own key to MY ROOM with NO post warning! NO KNOCK! He just opened the door , I was literally STUNNED & he just looked at me for a moment & I said who are you? He then took a step inside the room ! Thankfully my husband was coming out of the restroom & stared him down that is the exact moment he said he worked at the hotel and was checking the room to see if it was empty? I then said -Empty?? I paid for two weeks ! HE HAD NO IDENTIFICATION NO ANNOUNCEMENT BEFORE HE OPEND THE DOOR - NO APOLOGY AT ALL what I said to him calmly was "You really should KNOCK before entering ANY ROOM" he looked furious at that point and SLAMMED the French door so hard it shook ! I CANNOT fully explain the shock I felt and as this sinks in ....it is sickening to think about the WHAT IF ? I was ALONE in the room or worse if there was a teenager or children alone in these rooms. STAY AWAY they pay no attention to you here , the staff in the front has no sense of urgency to help or clean these rooms. If there was no start to give that is exactly what I would have put down!

The ticket I purchased on line didn't work, so they gave me a new ticket for cash. I noticed that the new ticket was for a 9:30 bus. By 10:00, the bus still hadn't arrived and when I asked, I was told that the bus was stuck in customs at the border and would arrive in a few minutes. By 10:30 the bus had arrived and there was some confusion as to whether it was my bus. By 11:00 the bus was still there and I couldn't make my appointment to pick up my car in Houston by 6:00, if they took any extra time arriving there. So, I decided to not go. They refused to give me a refund for the ticket. I called the police and he said I could take them to small claims court, but it would cost more than the price of a ticket. Once the police came, they offered me a voucher for another bus.
