This office just wasted our time. My son needed to get a filling so we scheduled an appointment. We were told to take him out of school to make an earlier appointment. I'm sorry school isn't a priority to this "children's" dental office but in this family school is a priority. That being said we were forced to accept a 3pm appointment and told that there is no other appointments made after 3pm. Before we accepted the appointment we set the expectation that we will pick our son up from school and bring him right over they said ok. We also set the expectation that we would be arriving around 3:15ish. To help my pregnant wife out I took off from work to bring my boy to get the filling he needed. Picked up my son from school and brought him right over. We walked in at 3:20 and were turned away. Couple major things wrong here. You recommended we take our kid out of school - don't be a children's dental facility and tell parents a basic procedure is more important than school. You set us up for failure but taking an appointment you wouldn't be flexible with knowing there is a chance we would be a few minutes behind. Changed your hours so you can actually care for our kids. Your "last" appointment is right when school ends. You guys need to get a clue. Then when you turned us away you used the excuse that there is another appointment after us. So do you or don't you accept appointments after 3pm. Doesn't make much sense to force us to take an appointment we never wanted in the first place. To the Public, dont support this business. They don't deserve it

Love his office staff and the system they have is super efficient. I love that they are making the place bigger and more spacious.

There were way too many people up at the front like it was a party. They welcomed me with a fake "hello". Im in sports media I have to be able use my judge of character and read people. None of them introduced themselves to me. I ask questions a lot because I'm an observer. Whenever, I would ask simple questions 4 different females looked at me. They didn't care to know what I was thinking or talk. They just cared to speak and that's it. When I was all done with the consultation Dr. Hardik T. Kapadia, DMD walked in and sat down with me with a folder of my information and told me "based on my feedback from my team. I can't help you" then walked me out. I got no explanation no conclusion or referrals. They are not there for you. I was actually completely ok with finding another orthodontist which I will happily refer y'all to Bio Rejuvenate on renner road. The place is big, upscale and there are also a bunch of other practices there. Very disappointed they handled it extremely unprofessionally. Not making decisions for anybody but just letting y'all know.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Sample's dedication to her craft. From the very first…read moreconsultation, it was clear that I was in the hands of a true specialist. While examining my son's mouth, she identified a tongue tie that had been missed by his dentist, pediatrician and speech therapist for 14 years. As a resident-trained orthodontist, her expertise in both traditional braces and Invisalign along with jaw growth modification is what gave her the knowledge to truly see the root cause of my son's issues. My daughter had fast braces done by her dentist, but it took three years and they still couldn't get one of her teeth to align properly. I should have brought her to an orthodontist like Dr. Sample. Speaking from someone who has done it both ways, I can confirm that orthodontics is very specialized and should be left to the orthodontists. Dr. Sample explained everything thoroughly and clearly, including why certain treatment options would work best for my son's specific needs. She was also willing to think outside the box for my son's jaw growth problems, including referrals to the proper specialist for oral-facial therapy and tongue tie release. Her expertise prevented us from needing jaw surgery! My son is autistic with many mouth sensitivities. Dr. Sample and her team were so patient with him. My son's results exceeded our expectations, and we are so grateful for how Dr. Sample radically improved his quality of life. If you're considering braces or Invisalign, I highly recommend choosing an orthodontist who specializes in this field. This practice is exceptional.

We moved to Texas from out of state and needed to find an orthodontist who could finish out phase 1…read moreof my daughters braces. When we found Dr. Shaw I was excited by all the glorious reviews, blown away by the gorgeous facility and nice office staff! We met Dr. Shaw on our first appointment to go over how he would take over finishing out her treatment and after that we never saw him. Flash forward to the day my 8 year old is getting off her braces and is so very excited because not only is she getting them off but her birthday is the very next day! As a parent I was so very excited for this special day only to be let down because it was not a priority on Dr. Shaw agenda. We arrive and my daughter starts to have her braces taken off by Britney, during this time my daughter starts to state it hurts and then even has tears rolling down her cheeks! Britney not only seemed annoyed but tried to tell my daughter she isn't doing anything that hurts her and she is hurting her feelings by crying (Like are you serious you as an adult just said that to a child) Britney continues to work on my daughter and of course my daughter starts to cry again to where I finally had to tell her to stop and something is wrong because my daughter doesn't just cry and over react! Britney got up said nothing to us left us sitting in the chair with no explanation for 10 minutes, while other patients were seen and went and talked to Dr Shaw! Then Dr Shaw comes over to see what is going on to find one of my daughters tooth is loose and the pulling the braces And wire off was causing pain to the newly loose tooth. He was gentle and said he wouldn't clean the remainder or the glue on that tooth because it's going to come out anyways to spare Her any pain. Afterwards he said she is good to go, gave her a popcorn bucket full of candy and that was it! No sooner does he do that I immediately have another woman asking me to sign paperwork of release when I am just trying to capture a picture of this moment! My daughter gets told she can sign the wall and then that's it...no pictures no big Celebration or congratulations nothing, it was very disappointing for her and for me! When I walk to the front I ask Chandra (who has always been sweet every appointment we have seen her) if they take pictures with those that get their phase 1 braces off and she said no, that's for phase 2! I left feeling disappointed and hurt for my daughter who was in tears on a day she should be so excited! Only to see on social media that Dr Shaw does take photos with phase 1 patients who get their braces off but clearly we weren't important enough! Sad because up until that day a new family to Texas had referred those we knew and worked with to him and promoted his business via social media, but not anymore! Every patient should be important and picture worthy and no one who works with kids should make them feel bad when they cry...Britney maybe was having a bad day I don't know, but her words and treatment were horrendous to a 8 year old child! I wanted to love Shaw orthodontics and for a couple months did, until the day that was to be special and mattered was ruined! I realize my opinion and review is a minority but my experience to my child and myself did happen and I am not afraid to speak up!

This review is a retraction and public apology for an unfair review that I wrote about Dr. Kumar's…read moreoffice (a very long time ago). When I first started seeing Dr. Kumar, his practice was brand new. Back then, he was very "hands on" with the cleanings, dental procedures and answering the phones. I thoroughly enjoyed my experiences with him. Where I failed to see things (from his point of view) was the fact that his practice was growing. He needed and hired help. Me being young, impatient, selfish or entitled at the time, I grew frustrated that Dr. Kumar was not available for my cleanings. I was also disappointed that my "last minute request for an immediate appointment" couldn't happen. Simply put, I wasn't fair in the previous review that I wrote. Now that I'm older, I understand/ respect business and patient care... so let me be more clear and honest in my review.... Dr. Kumar is a patient person (pun intended). Dr. Kumar is good person. Very recently, I had a dental scare and had no one to talk to about my situation. Dr. Kumar made time outside of normal office hours to meet with me and help me through my problem. He answered all my questions. He wasn't even my dentist at this time! That speaks volumes to the person I've always known him to be... a person of integrity and love for people. He remembered all of my past health issues and our conversation was as if I was his patient yesterday. That speaks to who he is. I miss this. I regret leaving his office a few years ago (for what were unrealistic expectations on my part). Dr. Kumar is only one person but has a team of great people around him. Trust me when I say that your time with him is "your time" and it's special. I highly recommend his office to you and I plan to switch back.
