Really good food and wine and my waitress was really helpful and nice I recommend this place.

I loved everything about this place. The service, food and ambiance. I enjoyed the wines and tastings. Was a little sad some wines weren't available to sample. The cost of a bottle was quite pricy for a small winery. The blueberry jam was worth the price I paid! My friend and I tried a meat and cheese board that satisfied. We also had paninis that were delicious and devoured before remembering to take a picture. The desert was a chocolate lava cake that was moist and delicious. read more

Came here with a group of ladies. The wine list is extensive! Everyone in our group had red wine except me... I like white. Had a Vignoles and then a Moscato (my favorite)! It was called Pink Sunglasses. It's super good. Goes down waaaaaaaay too easy though. At $9/glass, it adds up. We split 3 plates to share as well. Two were cheese plates and one was a hummus plate. These were pretty pricey as well... they come in 2 sizes, for two people ($14.00) and for four people ($28.00). The quality seemed high so the price reflects that. But I guess if you divide the $28 by 4 people, it's $7/pp, which isn't bad. We started off with 3 people... so do we go with a 2 person size or 4? Luckily the rest of our party did come! Then we added another one! Oh, P.S. I LOVED the super spicy chipotle hummus! Wow! It has a KICK! Loved it! The atmosphere was nice. I know another reviewer mentioned how it felt cold (it's in a strip plaza)... I didn't feel it felt uncomfortable. I guess we were so focused on the wonderful company. Everything was appeared super clean. Our server was WONDERFUL! Her name was Patricia. She was very attentive. Loved how she'd have suggestions (and those suggestions were very good!) The only "negative" I would say was based on the price. I felt like they were pretty high. Wine was $9/glass+. I guess I don't drink "fancy wine"... $9 would buy me a whole 1.5L bottle of my usual wine. Now, this whiners does have a wine club. I haven't looked into it that much but briefly, it seems like for as little as $25/mo, you can get 1 glass of wine per day for you and a friend for FREE... and other benefits such as 10% discount... The wife and I came in on a Saturday night after dinner to check it out. We immediately loved it. There was a live band playing that made for a great atmosphere. We were able to taste the wine before committing to a glass and the staff was extremely helpful and informative. We loved the wine and winery so much that we joined the wine club on the spot! The wine club had so many perks that pay for the membership in themselves. We will be visiting Texas Sun Winery quite often. Midland finally has a nice winery to enjoy an evening in good company. read more

Wine was okay but not even close to being worth $10 a glass, maybe $3? I can get a glass of some amazing Spanish or Argentinian wine from Garlic Press for the same price. Cheese plate was weird and really expensive... why only one olive? Cool venue... they clearly spent a ton of money on it... but the costs need to match the quality of the products delivered. read more

This place is awesome. I'm not a big wine drinker but have to keep the woman happy. There is a big list of wines, the atmosphere is just perfect. The cheese / meat platter was perfect and a good size. This place isnt west Texas oil boom expensive either. We will be coming back. Also - the owner Kevin is a cool guy to talk too. So I wanted to update my former review below because it's been over a year since my first experience here, and it has improved a lot. I finally found a couple wines I enjoy there. There not as good as California wines, but they're decent for Texas wine. The service has also improved significantly, and the servers seem to have a much better idea about what they're doing. The food and snacks are great. Great pita, hummus, and cheese in particular. Overall, a much smoother and more delicious experience than the first time. I'll definitely go here again! read more

Was not impressed. The wine selection was ok, but nothing on the menu was their own.. (I went a few months ago so this may have changed) A girlfriend and I went after dinner and it was not very busy, but we felt super neglected. There were long stretches of time between our tastings and we were bored. I wanted to order desert but didn't want to wait forever for it. Cute atmosphere and decor so hopefully if I give it another try I will have a better experience. read more

We had so much fun this weekend at Texas Sun Winery in Midland Texas. Everything about our experience was amazing! We were greeted warmly and spent the evening (and the next) visiting with old friends, making new friends, enjoying the great music provided by Ernesto, tasting great foods and of course, the wine! The wine list is extensive, and over the course of 2 days, my husband and I tried almost all of them. (Thank you Uber for your assistance.). It's too hard to pick a favorite because there's something great about each and every red, white and fruit infused sangria wine. We are taking several bottles home for further research until we can return. Thank you Sue Ann, Jim, Kevin, Teresa, Shirley and Ernesto for a wonderful weekend. #texassunwinery. Not impressed at all. Second time to go in. Wine list is typed on 4 sheets of paper (very professional) which my list had wine stains on it. There was open seating but bright. Not a lot of people on a Friday and a Saturday night when we went. I brought my friend the first time and my sister the second time with me. The first time the waitress took awhile to help us and the second time when we walked in at 9:10pm, I immediately saw 2 people behind the counter look at their watch which put me off, immediately did not like. The atmosphere did not seem inviting at all. It didn't feel cozy or relaxed. Will not return. read more
