As far as the food, we ordered tacos de gobernador and I ordered one of each taco/meat they offered, although they were out of the costillas de puerco, which was a little disappointing. The food itself was good and pretty typical of what you'd expect from Mexican street tacos. The meat was cooked well, flavors were good, and overall it reminded me of the kind of tacos you'd get from street vendors in Mexico or around the Central Valley. One big issue I ran into was that some of the dishes came with guacamole, but this was not listed anywhere on the menu. I'm allergic to avocado/guacamole, and since it wasn't disclosed and most street tacos don't automatically come with guacamole, I didn't think to ask. Everything was packaged to go, and by the time we got to the car and opened the food, several items were covered in guacamole and I couldn't eat them. That was really frustrating and is something they should clearly list on the menu or ask customers about when ordering. They also had a pretty limited soda selection, but that wasn't a huge deal. Overall, the food was good and the fact that they're open late is great, but between the heat inside and the guacamole issue, the experience wasn't perfect. Having worked 15+ years in the food industry, substituting proteins isn't a new concept. Additionally it makes it hard to want to try other items since they are all packed with proteins I don't eat, and I have to pay the up charge to substitute, and I don't want to pay $20, only to be disappointed, so I stick to my usual.
