As an individual with complex eye care needs who has moved from out of state, this practice sounded…read moreperfect for my needs to continue care for already diagnosed conditions. The office manager told me that my only option to be seen was a package for $2000 that included services I do not need and lenses I already own. I asked if there was a separate package for transfer of care, she said that the doctor "might" call me back or she would ask and call me herself. As expected, I didn't hear from the doctor. Instead, the manager called me back and repeated that my options were to pay for the full package including a $500 scheduling deposit, or $600 to schedule an evaluation with no lenses included (which would be significantly more for less services and hardware). No matter how good the doctor may be, the approach to selling no matter the patients needs is clearly a scam.

Anissa did the initial testing and explained the equipment and what she needed me to do in order to get accurate results. I have been going to Dr. Steritz for a few years and appreciate his knowledge for my eye care. He is thorough and explains the results making it easy to understand. I keep coming back as I trust my care to Dr. Steritz and since I have been wearing glasses for years I like the fact Eye Trends is not a Franchise or Chain Eyecare facility. Glasses, contacts, dry eye, cataract aftercare, they support my needs. Additionally, they are in my eye insurance network so all services and glasses are reasonably priced.

I felt like the appointment wasn't rushed, any questions I had were explained to me in a knowledgeable but not condescending way. Highlight of my visit though was Kim, she helped me pick what I think are probably the best glasses for my face I have ever worn. She gave me a ton of options and a lot of advice / opinions and knowledge on glasses overall. She made the experience a fun one. Did I end up buying one of the more expensive brands yes...but in no way did she try to push that purchase on me or try to steer me in that direction. She was incredibly patient and kind. Give that young lady a raise! Overall I do recommend this location and business to anyone in Southlake or the surrounding areas. You won't regret it!

Now, it did take me some months to pick up my contacts because I travel for work. When I let them know about the issue with my contacts, they wanted my primary insurance information and stated I needed a new exam because my eyesight could have changed in 4 months. Why is that? We are told to go yearly, and I have never heard of someone's eyesight changing that drastically in 4 months. Not to mention, I can see the lettering on my monitors just fine with the glasses that I have had for two years. I did purchase the contacts, but I'm not sure I'll ever use them. I'll wait until the beginning of the year when my benefits start over and get a new exam from another place. This time I won't choose the place based on convenience. Also, it's funny with every other call, they left a voicemail to tell me my trial contacts were in and left reminder voicemails when they would call. I called today to see if my contacts were in, and they have been there since November 10th. I received no call and no voicemail.
