Great golf course. Poor golf game. Only thing I wish would change here is the space they have allocated for the driving range. Beware there are only 3 bays.

    Reception area

The Texas Star was amazing to work with for our wedding. Leslie was so helpful and made so many suggestions. She answered all of our questions and made me feel so at ease when touring the venue. My dad was very impressed with Leslie and the venue from the first time we met with her several months ago through my wedding. He said, "The whole experience was top notch." They do everything a venue should do! Their prices are extremely reasonable with no hidden fees, and their food prices are also EXTREMELY reasonable. Included in the costs of the room rental and food are the dance floor, tables, chairs, table linens, silverware, and napkins. If you need it, they have some vases and other decor items that can be used at no additional cost. For our private dinner, they surprised us with a very nice and sweet set up to enjoy our time together. Leslie even drove us around on a shuttle/large golf cart for our sunset pictures.

Solid public course. 10 and 13 were my favorite holes. My biggest issue was how loud the course was due to construction and other factors. Marshall was very friendly

Nice location but food is not the best. 54 Brewhouse in Euless is better, Great staff and service, 54 is better.

This course is in great shape and for $80 on the weekend it's well worth it. Greens are fantastic.

The removed the bent grass from the greens last year which I think is smart for a municipal course.

The price was reasonable and the course gets a lot of play. My only complaint; I was visiting friends in the area and they warned me about the sand traps. I didn't believe them, I figured, I play enough golf I can figure out these traps. The first (10th)hole, I rolled into the back bunker. My goodness, there was little to no sand over the hard pan, I was doomed. It got into my head and I was in and out of bunkers one worst than the last. The greens were beautiful, is sand too expensive to improve something that regular players here forewarn players coming in as to how bad they are. I would definitely come back to play, hopefully when I make it back something has been done about the only thing I found wrong with the course.

The golf course itself is actually in great shape and plays very well. Unfortunately, that's where…read morethe positives end. This is, without question, the least accommodating pro shop I have ever experienced in public golf. I would even go so far as to say the staff is openly hostile toward customers. First, if you're unlucky enough to be the person in your foursome who books the tee time online, you will be charged for all four players. Then, when the other three players arrive to pay, the pro shop employees casually tell them, "Mr. Smith has already taken care of your fee." No, I didn't "take care of it" you charged my credit card without giving anyone another option. Now I have to track down three people to reimburse me because a 24-year-old employee decided to phrase it as if I had generously paid for everyone's round. Try asking to pay individually, and you'll be treated as though you're asking for a kidney. This appears to be standard operating procedure, and it's completely inconsistent with the policies at virtually every other public golf course in the United States. Second, there is little to no course management. Rangers are nowhere to be found, and one slow group can back up the entire course for everyone behind them without any intervention. Third and this was the final straw for me, two Sundays ago management allowed a salesperson to set up what was essentially a blockade at the 4th tee box on the East Course. Every group was forced to pass through this strategically placed choke point and endure a sales pitch before teeing off. There was literally no way around it. I politely said, "I'm sorry, I'm not interested," and then had to tee off while enduring an uncomfortable laser beam stare because I declined to listen to the sales pitch. Golfers pay to enjoy a round of golf, not to be ambushed by unsolicited sales tactics. This place has serious management issues. Lastly, if you attempt to cancel your Arcis membership, be prepared to make five or six additional monthly payments before they actually process the cancellation. In hindsight, that shouldn't have surprised me, considering they'll happily put multiple rounds on your credit card without your explicit consent. None of these issues are unfixable, which makes the situation even more frustrating. I've raised these concerns verbally on multiple occasions and nothing has changed, so I'm putting them in writing in the hope that management will finally pay attention.

The attitude set us off mood before a beautiful day. Luckily we were greeted by a marshal during the round named, Vernanon, he was super nice and respectful. The course traffic was awful we left after 9 after waiting ages. Everyone else we met there was kind but Damon, he also told us that it was his first day back in awhile yet decided to treat us with aggression over kindness. My buddies and I will not return to this course ever again because of Damon, but Vernanon was great.

He rushed my group to tee off because there was apparently a tournament that morning. As a golf course, maybe block off times around the tournament so it won't get backed up or slowed? Anyways, Mike was very rude about it. Yelling at everyone. As we made the bend, I had to give up my cart which sucked but Mike decided he was going to grab my bag off the cart without even asking. And while also in my face yelling saying "we need your cart". Firstly, don't touch another man's belongings. And if you're going to, at least ask. I had to walk up to Mike as he was reaching for my bag to unhook it to tell him "please don't touch my bag" 3-4 times until he finally stopped. And then he stood there waiting for me to do so. Respectfully, idc how old you are or who you think you are, acting like a brat or a$$ even at his age is unacceptable and makes golfers think twice before booking the course. Especially if I have to deal with a Mike off the first tee.

Instead of a lot of computers, indoor simulators and gadgets McMillan Golf Academy keeps it simple. Instead of putting you inside a computer simulation attached to wires and gadgets it's you & your personal instructor, outdoors on grass hitting golf balls. Because that's what golf is about, hitting a golf ball, not technojargon. Robert & Kevin are genuinely friendly. They are excited about teaching golf. They know that golf is enjoyed when your are striking the ball effectively and moving it down range. I have had 3 lessons with Robert and it has made a bigger difference than 1 year & $2000 at a big box golf store. At age 58 I thought there was no hope for me. Now I am excited about playing golf. I look forward to my lessons because Robert brings out the best in me, challenges me, gets me to use my brain instead of swinging aimlessly at the ball. I hold Robert in the same category as the Golf Channels Michael Breed (2012 PGA Teacher of the Year). Friendly, funny, sincere and excited to teach golf. And who doesn't enjoy learning golf from a Scot! Robert teaches the local high school team players as well as Texas college golf team members. Don't worry about driving to Colleyville or the money. One lesson and you will be hooked. Don't think about it any longer. Its spring in Texas, go get your golf game on.
