I love Texas Orthopedics in Kyle. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the x-ray technician has always been very accommodating and professional and Dr Tibbetts has been fantastic! He replaced my shoulder two years ago and I have had zero problems with healing or using it. I cannot tell the difference between my right shoulder and my left (one replaced; the other not). I had an emergent ankle injury and unfortunately did not have the opportunity to choose my surgeon. Dr. Ryan performed my tib-fib ankle repair, during which a tendon in my foot was severed. This has led to additional complications in my recovery that I was not expecting or prepared for. While I highly recommend Baylor Scott & White for their overall care and professionalism, I would personally suggest avoiding Texas Orthopedics based on my experience. I hope others are able to make more informed decisions than I was able to under the circumstances. read more

They lack communication so bad nobody wants to help you with the care or questions you have they will keep redirecting you to other people but nobody will answer and just hang up , I had surgery Monday and my medication for pain is not ready for me and I'm in so much pain they don't care for their patients this is ridiculous,& more that I had paid 23,000$ for my surgery and for them to still treat me that way they are so sorry they need to train their office desk people more to be more helpful.!!!!!!!! My appointment was with Dr. Robert Foster who has seen both myself and my wife on numerous occasions. He has performed surgeries on our hands with much success. I am so glad Kyle has this Doctor's office! Everyone at this location has been super nice. Janie, went above and beyond my expectations and help me resolve an issue that would have taken me forever to do. She got on the phone and helped me make a payment over the phone. This helped me get my Doctors notes, from a third party, sent to Aetna so that my leave of absence pay would not be delayed and my surgery could be approved faster. Shout out to Janie and the whole staff there. We are so lucky to have this Doctors office and these wonderful people in our community. This Medical center continues to do great work! I would like to thank Mikayla for all of her help. She went beyond her duties in assisting me get my MRI order corrected so I could get it done on time. Everyone in that office is doing a great job! When I checked in they asked me for my medical and my social security card. They don't scan it anymore in a scanner. The front desk user personal phones to scan it into the computer. This review is for their physical therapy clinic. Staff is negligent of the patient while the patient does the exercise. Staff takes plenty of time for personal conversations with one another, to include their weekend outings, their pay rate and satisfaction with their jobs and pay, writing references for potential PT students, $400 hair cuts/dye jobs, etc., all while the patient may or may not be doing the exercise with proper technique, which could hider recovery and produce a negative outcome. Then we can talk about the number of times I was left just standing there or sitting waiting for my therapist to notice I was done if I was lucky and she glanced to catch my disproving look while she chattered on. The discussion of a patient, who had been in facility, and was then diagnosed with COVID19, was pleasant to overhear and to hear the patient's name was a HIPPA violation. And moments later, I got off a piece of equipment and an older gentleman was immediately put on that equipment with no cleaning even a facade of a wipe down was concerning. Disuccusion of personal views on the pandemic and it getting worse is unnecessary in front of patients. When attempting to schedule my next couple of appointments, I was told I may be out of my 12 pre-authorized visits... after having only been there 4 times. Explain that one! Also, the constant pre-registration asking the same health information/ health history and the HIPPA forms and financial forms EVERY appoitnment is rididuclous and redundant. I went to this clinic as it is associated with my surgeon's office/ clinic and assumed it would be professional and set with high standards. Sadly, I cannot report this to be my experience. read more

I chose Texas Orthopedics because it was close to my home and the facility appeared to be very nice and clean. I slowly started to notice many red flags over my many visits before, during, and after surgery as well as the subsequent physical therapy visits right next door at texas orthopedics physical therapy. My first visit I noticed the ladies in the front office were very aggravated and rude. They asked me if I registered online. I said I did whatever forms they sent me on a link through text messages. The lady looked at me as if I was a child and in an accusatory tone stated " Are you sure?" I said " Yeah I mean I think so this is my first visit". The rest of the interaction was packed with attitude. I went to sit down and observed subsequent interactions, they were very defensive and accusatory with the rest of the patients checking in. I chalked it up to them having a bad day. The next visit a separate front office staff was raising her voice at a very old lady in a wheel chair. They kept yelling " DID YOU DO THE REGISTRATION!" The lady wasnt able to respond loudly enough nor move very well, so the front office staff said " WE WILL JUST DO IT OUT THERE!" (mind you I was on the complete opposite side of the very large reception area. The front office staff came out with an ipad to do the registration sat next to the old lady and went through the questions very loud (the reception area was PACKED with people. The staff went through the many questions loud enough for everyone to hear: " ARE YOU CURRENTLY DEPRESSED?" the poor woman responded " Yes...I am". Immediately they followed up with " HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF HURTING YOURSELF!" the woman responded very meekly " yes sometimes". This went on forever and became very humiliating and uncomfortable. They did not treat this person with dignity. As other reviewers have mentioned, I have been double billed for stuff I already paid for and have receipts and bank statements for. I mentioned it to the front office and they had no answers. I asked them why the dates on my bill details were backwards (billed for post op on my pre op date, billed for surgeon twice, same dollar amount etc..). The culture of this office is far too adversarial. They rush you in, rush you out, gas light you, double bill you etc.. My surgery went well and that's a plus, my surgeon very knowledgeable and skilled, but like I said, they spend VERY little time with you and are quick to leave the room. However, after the surgery I was sent home with no post op instructions, woke up in a daze from the anasthesia which is normal. The surgical facility told me to take my pain pills when we got home, we told them we didnt have any. We called our regular pharmacy and they said they had medicine for us. We said we were on our way to pick them up. The staff at the surgical facility were worried that we didnt have them already. We told them we werent instructed to get them at the pre op appointment. We went straight to the pharmacy after my surgery and all they had for us was over the counter low dose aspirin. The doctors office was closed (it was nighttime) so we couldnt call. I spent that night in tremendous pain. The next day Texas Orthopedics told me why didnt I get hydrocodone. I told them it was never sent to the pharmacy, they had no record of it, and all they had on record was low dose aspirin. Texasortho staff told me I was supposed to pick it up after my pre op (my pre op appointment was 2 weeks earlier). I informed him that the doctor came in to that appointment, wiggled my leg for 30 seconds, asked if I felt good for surgery and then sent me on my way with no other instructions. I elected to do physical therapy at Texas orthopedic physical therapy right next door for the convenience of the location. I am now 2 months in to physical therapy. As other reviewers have mentioned, the staff are very disorganized, they constantly chat about world events and personal matters. They set people up with an excercise and then burn off to go type on their laptops and socialize with eachother. Countless times I have been done with the excercise, Looked around , sat there and waited. Very unprofessional. They dont stay with you when your struggling to figure out the mechanics of an excercise. Several times I have had to initiate routine practice such as "hey can yall tell me if my extension is good, what about my flexion. Where am I at?" Just to have them say " Didnt we do that already?". I finally 2 weeks ago mentioned my concerns since I was coming home in far too much pain in my leg even 4 days after my PT that I only attend once a week. I told them I didnt think I wanted to come back. They convinced me to give it one more round and so I showed up again...Nothing changed, when I walked in I went to the front desk to check After that appointment the same pain returned and lasted 3-4 days keeping me up at night and having me wobbling all over work in pain. No wonder they only have one review...I have been calling the appointment number for 1.5 hours and no answer....I tried a different extension, not appts., and no one answered.....3 different extensions and no one answers the phone. How can I feel confident with a clinic that can't even answer their phones ? If you advertise your working hours, pay someone to answer the phone and don't leave them hangin ! read more

Billing department has some real issues. They've double-billed me several times. They're still attempting to bill me even though I'm no longer using their services. I've also heard from one of the staff that this has happened with others as well. read more

Dr. Laverty is excellent. My son broke his humorous clean in half in a skateboarding accident. Dr. Laverty worked with us to get him into surgery that day. The procedure required 6 screws and two plates. He explained the procedure and was attentive at follow up visits. My son's arm healed quickly and nicely. He is a very talented surgeon. Saw Dr. Benjamin McArthur at the Kyle location, for hip and knee arthritis. Really liked him; he did a thorough exam, answered all my questions, took time to explain everything. I did not feel rushed or that I was treated condescendingly. In fact, all the staff that I encountered on that visit were exceptional, including Mike, his assistant, and the xray tech. So I would like to give some feedback on an exceptional experience we had visiting Texas Orthopedics, From the efficient manner of check in, and temperature checks, to the paperwork process. They treated us with care and the level of precaution that was taken to ensure our safety and well being was very welcoming. To add to the experience We had the pleasure of meeting Doctor Martinez,he exhibited great knowledge and empathy for his patients, as well as the exceptional very witty and very professional nurse that assisted him I believe her name was Casandra,the level of care and welcoming demeanor she provided was phenomenal! to say the least, she sets the pace for others to follow such compassion, made our visit worry free. I have transferred to this group of doctor's. I see Dr. Martinez for RA treatment. He is very attentive, listens w/o seeming to be bored or in a hurry. He validates my concerns and works with me to understand how this illness works and doesnt just overload my system with meds. His staff are awesome. Love the infusion nurse Anisa at the Kyle location! I went to see Dr Westmoreland for my shoulder (2 previous surgeries by a different doc). I thought it was a torn R. Cuff, AGAIN! He was very thorough, didnt just say lets operate. He, too, was attentive, WANTED to listen to my report of symptoms, b4 sharing that it was beyond repair and needed a full R.Shoulder replacement. From there I saw Dr. McArthur. He is VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. I shared about my shoulder & RA treatments. Disc. options (It, too, needs a full L.Knee Replacement). Together, we determined that the shoulder needed to be 1st, then knee. He shared about an injection that might buy me some more time w/knee. Each of these docs collaborate on my situation, having END STAGE OSTEOARTHRITIS (i have never heard of it), provided me information to read on the procedures and suggested I do some reading on the diagnosis, even provided some websites. Shared they are always available for questions, shared empathy for my situation (63 y/o & my body is worn out). Both surgeons shared their knowledge, their skills, procedures used, their experience...all w/ humility. While each shared their love for surgery, they also shared the WHEN is MY CHOICE. They understood that I am just retiring (JULY) and would like a few months to REST & BREATHE! I have had surgons who have theRIGHT NOW/YESTERDAY approach, scaring the poop out of a person. Not these folks. I HIGHLY recommend these 3 docs, in fact, this whole organization is professional, curteous, helpful, from the janitorial service in the hallway to the nurses, docs and all of their support staff, ESPECIALLY DURING COVID!
