They have years of experience teaching these courses as they were able to tell me what were the differences in practice between the old guidelines and the most current ones. One of the instructors was an RN so she able to give us practical tidbits and show us things to look out for in codes. Coming in I was really lacking in interpreting rhythm strips, and the instructor helped me remember easy ways to recognize the different patterns. I enjoyed the hands-on experience working the defibrillator while the instructor went through the different ACLS algorithms. Classes are small enough for you to feel like its individualized teaching and they definitely do want you to succeed so you can perform high-quality CPR in the field and/or participate in codes. Will come again when it's time to re-certify.

Today's (8/10/19) LTC class was far more thorough than your average LTC class. I compared my experience with my sister and she said, "wow, you got to do more and cover more than I did in mine." We went there for our Texas LTC certification and received it, but this center gave us so much more than just the course certification. I now understand the real personal/legal ramifications of being involved in an actual shooting incident, how to safely handle my weapon, alert law officers that I'm legally carrying, when and where to carry, and so much more. I very highly recommend this course to everyone-- even if you don't get an LTC. The trainers really are EPIC!! Epic Training and Tactical defense center is the place to go!

On changing to them from my…read moreretiring doctor in another town, I gave the support personnel my list of meds one of which was not recorded. It took 1 visit and 3 phone calls to correct that. I recently had a blood test and the PA said we will call you and give you the results. That didn't happen and I had to find the results myself. I will unlikely go back to them having found a small town doctor who came highly recommended from my retiring doctor.

It was probably one of the best decisions we've ever made concerning our personal healthcare. The whole 4th floor is dedicated to the care and needs of older adults. Comprehensive care in all facets is provided by the center. Dr. Love and the center's staff and aware of the needs of older adults. There are no rushed appointments or clinic visits. When visiting the staff and the physicians time isn't a factor, only the needs of the patients. The center is going through a major remodeling and looks incredible. Doorways have been widened for easy access. Again, we are so happy to now be patients of the UNTHSC Center for Older Adults.

We are located in the Boomer Jack's shopping center on the southeast corner of Central Drive and Airport Freeway. If you will be using your GPS to guide you, set your destination as either Boomer Jack's or Movie Tavern. That will get you to the shopping center. Locate Boomer Jack's and you'll see a tall clock tower down the walkway to the right of Boomer Jack's. We are located directly under the clock in suite 235. You will need to check with your specific test client (CPA, Texes, USMLE, FINRA, etc) to find out what identification you will need to bring to the testing center. We do provide lockers free of charge, but we encourage you not to bring valuables with you if at all possible. You will not be allowed to wear watches, fit bits, headphones, hats, or jewelry of any kind other than wedding/engagement rings and stud earrings. We encourage you to dress comfortably and in layers. You may bring your own earplugs, but we do provide "ear muff" type headphones to block out any distractions. We provide all the testing materials you will need for the exam (scratch paper, pencils, etc) except for certain exhibits or graphing/financial calculators. Again, check with your specific testing client for details about what you need to bring with you on the day of your exam. We open our front door promptly at 7am and welcome early birds. We are extremely busy during the 8am testing time, so if you arrive at 7am you will be able to miss the rush and begin testing right away. We understand how stressful taking an exam can be, so we strive to be as accommodating as possible. If you have questions not covered here, you can call us at 817-358-1390. Once the voicemail recording begins, just hit 0 and the phone will ring through to the office. TIP: The center is located under & past the clock tower…read more Okay, I'm not a fan of testing centers but of the Prometric Testing Centers that I've been to, this one comes out on top. The process was smooth. I checked in and received a locker. You need to remove all your belongings except for the 2 IDs and your locker key. This includes watches (even analog!). You wait until you're called to the back. The rules are reviewed, you sign a form in a binder, receive two non-erasable laminates, get biometric scans of both your pointer fingers and checked with a metal detector prior to entering the actual testing room. You are allowed to bring your own ear foams (which I did). They also have two different types of over the head headphones but I don't recommend those cause they aren't comfortable. The chairs were comfortable though (they recline!). Each cubicle has a separate camera. One of the workers is required to enter the testing room and get a biometric scan of her finger every couple minutes.

Time for another renewal…read more They have moved from their previous location but it's literally right around the corner. I've been coming to Dunn CPR for years! They had sent me a remainder email that it was time to renew my BLS card. I went this morning. They have weekly classes Tuesday-Saturday at 9am. And it's $40 to renew before the end of the month it's due. The class is quick, and straight to the point. Everyone has their own separate mannequins to practice on, Adults and Peds. Depending on how big the class is you might have to share. I like how the mannequins can alert you if you're doing your compressions correctly. The instructor is also guiding you to make sure you are doing it the right way. You go through the course, videos and skills check off. You take the test at the end and get your card emailed to you on the same day. I'll be back in another two years!
