The drive was comfortable, and Montzy drove very carefully and safely -- no abrupt lane changes, no sudden stops, and no attempts to run yellow lights. She told me about some of the safety features, such as GPS tracking and other monitoring. She was very compassionate in moving and securing the patient. When we arrived at the doctor's office, she gave me a card with the number to call when we were ready to leave the office. She causes trouble in her own work place. She doesn't know why nor does she understand ALS concerns and scope of the EMS business. She has the other workers to double teen on the female workers like myself without knowing why. One of the workers intentionally hurts me with the stretcher by yanking and pulling during letting the stretcher down causing me to almost fall. She seems very unstable because she constantly yells and curses at me from time to time mostly daily. The owner is very mental and verbally abusive towards me. Their are many people in the world who experiences mental illness and disorders and doesn't know it, without treating it. It's not difficult to recognize. Also the owner did nothing to the male worker when I reported things about him. Then the owner sent me home on several occasions without pay and kept him working and on and on. The owner also refused safety working conditions due to refusing safety gear which I requested the electric structure several times the owner refused me to use it after I continuously told her that the patients was to heavy for me to lift. Good private medical care is so hard to come by, so I'm writing this review. This company is so far…read moreabove any we have had over the years that my family can hardly believe it. We have horror stories that I won't go into, but Uptown has changed all that. We NEVER worry that the nurse aid will be a no-show, even during the storm. Our primary caregiver, Amy had arranged to stay and the owner brought her supplies!!! Bruce is so involved with every aspect of this company. Same goes for the RN nursing director that is involved with every part of my mothers care even though we only have nurse aid care at this time. Kathy is wonderful and I think she said she's been the director for 21 years of the 30 year company. So here's my advice learned from past mistakes we've made. If the company is a franchise homecare business and if not run by an RN, DON'T hire them. They don't have the investment in your family that this company has and staff will leave before the next person shows up without letting you know??..it happened to many time to count! I heard about Uptown from a nurse while my mom was in the hospital. She had a PULSE STAFFING badge and when I asked, she said she was a contract RN. She was my favorite and she told me about Uptown which is the same company as PULSE. I'm very grateful! I've been wanting to write this for months, so hope it helps someone avoid the issues that are so hard to deal with on top of having a loved one that needs care.
