Update 11.16.2022 - I want to reiterate we loved their work but again their communication is just…read morenot great. Here is an example of it; after I wrote my review here is how (text messages) he approached me. Attacking a customers character is never good First off I have to say the work and speed that their crew delivered was great. We love everything that they did for us. We had a number of requests for them to: 1. Build a deck near our pool with cover 2. Replace our fencing to hide the pool equipment 3. New fence towards the back of our property In the photos you can see how great it turned out. Now where they lost their stars is in communication and dealing with conflicts. 1st issue - We had a dumpster provided that they subcontracted and had a number of issues. James gave my husband the phone number to contact dumpster company and "deal with the issue". As a customer all issues pertaining to a subcontractor that THEY hired should have been handled by them and not us. 2nd issue - some of the fence posts they installed warped and we asked for them to come repair. We had to text and call about 10 times! We were given dates that someone would show up and then no one showed up and no communication about 5 times. Continuous calling and text had to occur with the same result. Then random out of the blue one day someone showed up to fix the fence and once again no communication to inform us they were coming nor after to check how the repair went. This process was extremely frustrating and clear that dealing with conflicts isn't their forte.

We hired Herbert H Construction for four projects…read more 1. Our garage is a HUGE waste of space. The ceiling is at least 20ft high, so we are having them add a floor to it. The job is almost complete and we are VERY happy with it so far. 2. Install a buffet cabinet in our dining room and install countertop. 3. Remodel our kitchen. The kitchen remodel will entail replacing granite countertops, lowering part of a countertop, replacing backsplashes, fixing drywall, moving electric and plumbing, installing an electric cooktop, and painting existing cabinets. 4. Fix drywall in half bath and repaint. The garage project is almost complete and the buffet cabinet was installed. All that remains is the kitchen remodel, the buffet countertop and trim, and the bathroom repainting. This company is the best contractor company I've experienced in my 62 years of life. They are communicative throughout the process. The company's namesake, Herbert Hernandez, was our first contact. He worked with us throughout the design/idea process, made sound suggestions and recommendations, provided us with a sensible, affordable estimate, and presented an excellent plan and schedule. The project manager, Mario, is on site regularly to check on progress, to answer questions, and make recommendations/suggestions. The job supervisor, David (Herbert's brother), is fantastic, as are Raymond and the other guys, whose names I can't remember right now. Their work ethic is superb, and they are 100% customer oriented. They're on time, they work hard, do excellent work, clean up their messes, talk to us throughout the work, and far exceed my expectations. I'll update my review and post pictures when the jobs are complete.

I put a feeler out on Yelp for a couple concrete slabs and gazebo project. I received two responses…read moreright away, one was from Axis and one other. I met with Gianmarcos (Axis) and we had a good conversation and went over my specifications. (I am extremely detail oriented and picky) He left me impressed even though he is pretty young, I think early 20's. While he was putting together estimate, the other contractor called, this one right away was not listening to me and I just said, not interested, we did not even meet. I ended up doing some research on Axis, Better Business Bureau did not have any information on Gianmarcos or Axis, all I found was company was very new. So, it was either take a chance on this young man, or look for more estimates. A day later, he texted me estimates and they were solid, with my first impression he gave me, I hired him. His entire crew was professional and they were very communicative throughout the entire process. One of my main pet peeves is up charges on top of estimates. I like knowing costs up front. Even though I had two up charges on my project, they were both legit, one was adding rock around gazebo, it was Gianmarcos suggestion rather than just base which was original plan. It worked out well. Second was an extra electrical box since existing one was maxed out. Like I stated before, I am very picky, I wanted several switches, to control bug zappers, fans, lights, speakers, heaters, etc. all this was done, expertly in my opinion. They even fixed a couple things I was not totally happy with without complaint or up charge. All that is left is staining, which could not be done because of temperature drop. As long as they come back to complete staining as promised, this will remain 5 stars. I am very impressed with this company, I had to make this post.
