We recently purchased flooring from him for our home. If you are shopping for wood, you know how expensive it can be. Many places with big signs and fancy names with ads on TV will take full advantage of you. We found other places to be twice as much as we paid with Wilson flooring. If you are shopping for flooring in Houston, you owe it to yourself to call Bob. His warehouse is located approximately one mile east of the Gulf Freeway on Fuqua. You will have a tough time find ing better pricing for your flooring needs. Now, lets talk about installation. You can buy all the flooring you need and do it yourself or hire your own installers. We used his preferred installers and I am thankful we did. His preferred installers came to our home and did a masterful job of installing the engineered hardwood we had purchased. The installers used the absolute minimum number of transitions between the types of flooring (e.g. when transitioning from wood to carpet or tile). Also, even though they installed the wood through a doorway, around an island in the kitchen and joined it back together in the dining area/living area, they did not use a transition. This is a sign of an installer that knows what they are doing. Wilson flooring has multiple preferred installers depending upon the type of flooring you are purchasing. We purchased engineered hardwood but he also has vinyl flooring, various types of tile, and carpeting. If you are looking for new floors, you owe it to yourself to at least talk to Wilson Flooring before making a decision. We are extremely happy we did. Truly remarkable work--it is the best fence job I have ever seen, and I looked a lot before trying to find the right company. Before this project, I used to believe that you could never get the level of quality you want unless you do it yourself. Not after I hired Webster Construction!!!! I Had Specific Needs For My Situation The lot-sizes in my neighborhood are small, and the folks behind me have a pool, so the sound from their parties always invaded my family's privacy! For this reason, I wanted the new fence to be very tall, and double-sided to help diminish the sound. Also, I a different neighbor replaced the side fence last summer, and he painted it with a sealant stain. I wanted everything to match, so I wanted the new fencing to also be painted. And because I wanted it all to last a long time, I wanted it painted on both sides. Webster Construction Was Happy To Customize! Right off the bat, Mike (owner) was happy to give me whatever customizations I wanted. I talked to another "only fence" company, and they're only interested in quickest/fastest to get the most fences done asap to help their bottom line. My only options with them was the height, no option to do screws (which last longer) no option to paint, nothing. Webster Construction was much much more accommodating! Webster Construction = Quality, Quality, Quality!!!!!!! The company owner came each day to make sure everything was going as I wanted. Also, there was a family member that was working with the crew the whole time to make sure everything was done perfectly. He also really cared about the workers and made sure they had a canopy to work under when the heat was so intense. It was very rare for him to leave the crew by themselves; it was just to get supplies and he was back quickly (usually under 30 minutes). When he got back, he always checked back over everything that the crew did when he was not there, just to make sure it was done with the upmost quality. He personally measured each post hole to make sure the posts were down 3 feet--often using at least 2 1/2 bags of quickcrete. He personally set each post to make sure they were level and facing the right way. They were cautious with my backyard drains to make sure no concrete got in them (which could plugt them). Regarding the framing, if something split, he would pull it out and replace it. They used 3" construction screws to make sure everything was super solid. It was the same level of quality carpentry that you would get with cabinets. When putting on the pickets, they even drilled pilot holes to make sure they would not split. Because I wanted pickets on both sides to help dampen the sound, they came up with the idea to make sure they started laying pickets on opposite sides of the fence so you can see no cracks between the pickets. Even with stain sealing, over time the heat will cause the pickets to shrink a little, but the way they put them on, I won't see a neighbor on the other side. Honestly, it felt like he was working on his own fence and truly cared about the work! Amazing Price Especially With All The Customizations The price was unbelievably reasonable as well, considering all that I wanted done. The "fence only" company wanted even more money to do much less! Webster Construction used the best materials! I inspected the lumber and it was truly top shelf quality! Amazing Quality Despite the Heat! Because of the height I wanted, with pickets on both sides, and stain sealing, they told me up front it would take 2 days. And they spent the full two days. I never felt like they rushed to finish. The yard was spotless when they finished, and they even leveled dirt on the bottom to make sure everything was perfect! Will Hire Again! I can't say enough about their work quality! I will definitely use them for future work!
