They stated that there was a 135 point inspection but apparently that is not true seeing how I've paid 1000s of dollars fixing things that were supposed to be part of the "135 point inspection" I got lucky I know how to work on vehicles but if you dont, you bet you will pay more for what you paid for. Sorry, but I'm not jumping on the bandwagon with these other five star reviews (two with blank Yelp faces, I noticed) because my experience was just okay. Getting there was easy enough, especially since there's a downtown location to sell your car. After months of lowballers and no-shows, I needed to just sell my car. I walked in, gave the girl at the front desk my license, and she looked up the estimate I'd gotten online. I handed over the key, and a guy went outside and looked it over. Guy comes back in about 20 minutes later and offers me $500 less than I was hoping for. I don't know how the other reviewer got them to change their mind and give her that extra $500, but that didn't happen here. Whatever, I needed it done. I accepted, and was told that it would take up to 45 minutes for my check to be ready. NOPE! These jokers had me waiting another 90 minutes for my freaking check. Other people came in, got their assessments and left--out of the three or four people that came in after me, only one other person waited for a check. One guy rejected their offer flat out saying it was the lowest ANYONE had offered, and everyone else opted to think it over. The waiting area is tiny, but at least they have bottled water and an assortment of hot drinks (that you can make in their Keurig machine) while you wait. Still didn't make my endless wait any easier. Apparently the system went down at the Stafford location, which held things up. And then the one accountant that was on duty over there had an issue with my name, because she apparently thought I had two last names. I (like MANY others) have a first, middle, and a last name. It's on my birth certificate, but silly me, I didn't think to bring that with me. Shame on me for thinking my driver's license and the title to my car and release of lien would suffice (like the estimate email said claimed they would). Just incompetent, and a TOTAL waste of my time. Seriously, who the *@&# doesn't understand the concept of a MIDDLE NAME?!?!?! And WHY did I have to sign an affidavit due to the accountant's complete LACK of common sense?! (Thats right, I had to sign an affidavit in order to get my check because the ridiculous accountant didn't like that my middle name is on my license but not the car title). Not my fault! My name is unique enough, she should've been able to figure it out. Not very bright! But hey, they at least paid for my Uber ride home, which was the absolute LEAST they could do. I DID take notice that the manager on duty never bothered to come out and apologize or explain, they just left the girl at the front desk to handle it. Lousy, lousy, LOUSY customer service, imo. There are other places to try first, so be sure to check out your other options before this place. They get two stars for at least simplifying the selling process and the nice girl at the front desk. read more

I spoke to two different reps a day apart from one another regarding an SUV I was ready to purchase. The first rep out of Arlington,TX told me the vehicle was in Houston and provided me his best offer. The following day I decided to call the Houston location to see if there was a better deal if I were to come down there and purchase directly. The Houston rep provided me his best offer. I don't understand how they set their pricing/negotiations, but the Arlington's offer was $700 cheaper. That doesn't make any sense. read more

I will not even bother to look at their website ever again. I filled out the finance application on line to purchase a vehicle. The sales rep called me and said they just need to verify my income. I called the next morning to make arrangements to pick up because I am local but was told the car was sold. I asked him why they sold the car when he was handling the sale. I was willing to put a cash deposit down to reserve but was told they do not do that for in town customers which makes no sense. I have purchased over 20 cars in the past 20 years. They do have a good selection of vehicles and are competitively priced but I will take my business elsewhere! read more

Best car sale experience- David helped my mom & I sell our minivan today and was just a huge help and a great smile to see versus the other places! Carmax wasted a TON of my time (2 hours with a wonky lady) on the appraisal and offered me $1000 less than this place! I was in and out in about an hour and the secretary (appropriately named Lexus) was also very helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. The building was easy to find, and very nice and clean inside. I didn't have my kids with me today, by there was a cool area for the kids to play if I had. Giant thumbs up for this place, and goodbye Hyundai minivan! read more

The car buying process here was super easy. When you first walk in there are people to greet and direct you. We got there a bit late one evening and ended up at a kiosk to browse for cars. Tian walked up and introduced himself. He was very at ease and let us know that they were closing in about 10 minutes, however, he'd be glad to pull 2 cars up for us to try out. Ironically the first one he brought up was the one we ended up purchasing, however, we enjoyed the test drive process. We returned the following morning and he was ready to go. He brought us a few more cars to try out but we knew what we wanted. We ended up asking him about the vehicle we originally test drove. He contacted finance right away and we answered a few questions and we were pre-approved. Afterwards, we waited maybe 10 minutes before going to the back with the finance manager. The paperwork process was super simple. Overall we spent about 8-9 hours over two days combined and found our (used) dream ride. Great staff and great experience. read more

I purchased an Acura MDX for my wife It was scheduled to be delivered at 5:30 PM on 03/06/2018. I spoke with Katelyn Wisner from vroom who mistakenly made an appointment for 03/05/2018 But sent me an email to reschedule. I rescheduled for 03/06/2018 at 5:30 PM but the couriers did not show at 5:30pm the original scheduled delivery time. Well after Katelyn informed me that they were instructed to pickup another vehicle first then would deliver our vehicle by 7:00 pm but they still failed to show up on time. My wife had something to do but had to wait with no common courtesy phone call or update as to what the hold up was. After 7:30pm had come and gone and still NO sign of the couriers I called anotherrepresentative from Vroom and was advised by Wendy that they were still waiting at the dealer for the temp tags which were then emailed to me. I was then told that it would be another hour until they could deliver the vehicle which I find very unprofessional and poor customer service. Needless to say I am highly unsatisfied on how this delivery process was handled and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told that she was busy and she never called me back. The vehicle wasn't delivered until after 9:00 PM and the driver wasn't aware that he was supposed to take our trade in so he had to call someone to verify. Then when my wife received the vehicle she said it was very dirty, had no gas, came with no paperwork, and had no plastic cover for the temporary tags that we had to print out. I am highly disappointed in the delivery process, and the poor appearance in which we received the vehicle. This has been a very unprofessional experience for my wife and I and I expected much better customer service than we received. read more

I had an appointment with a sales representative but, when you walk in, you have to wait in line to get checked in at the front desk. You have to have a hard copy of your insurance and, they will ask you if you have a deposit on the vehicle you are there to see. You don't have to put a deposit down, the deposit in no way obligates you to a vehicle and, given the volume of their sales, putting a deposit down holds a vehicle for you to ensure it is there when you get there but, what if you just want to look? What if you don't have a specific vehicle in mind? I was just a little put off that I was asked because, the sales rep would have know if I had put a deposit down, if he had been the one I was dealing with and, I had no desire to put money down on a car, unseen. The young lady helping me didn't do anything wrong but, feeling like I was waiting in line at an amusement park, where it was like I was expected to buy from them without question, was off-putting. Then, the cherry on top, you have to give them your finger print to drive a car. Apparently, they're not in the habbit of accompanying you on a test drive so, you're supposed to get finger printed, mind you, before you're ever allowed to speak to a sales rep. Um, no. Sorry, call me a conspiracy theorist but, I am not a criminal, you're not going to preemptively fingerprint me just to drive one of your hundreds of USED cars. You got my driver's license, if I don't come back with the car, it's not like you can't track me down. I know it's not an infalable security measure but, not giving anyone my fingerprint for "my protection." It's just the absurdity. It's NOT necessary. It's NEVER necessary. And, don't let a bank, or anyone else, try to convince you it is. They're blowing smoke. Sales rep was cool about it, he just went with us on the test drive ( I know, that's unheard of!) and seemed to not mind in the least; he was always professional and friendly. I understand some people appreciate that their business process is so quick and, if that business model appeals to you, good for them. But, not for me. Won't be back. Sales rep was nice but, I'm glad I was able to do business with someone other than Texas Direct Auto. Nobody I dealt with was unprofessional, I was just turned off by the whole experience. read more

This place is amazing! Fast, simple, NO NONSENSE! I got a high offer on my 2009 Honda Civic quickly and painlessly, and got a check easily the following week when I was ready to sell.
