I make the 6 hour drive from Las…read moreVegas to Park City, Utah frequently, and I always start to get a little tired of the monotony on this stretch of road. That's why I like to stop here to take a break and refresh before getting back on the interstate. This Maverik is consistently clean, well maintained, and feels like a safe, reliable place to stop. There are plenty of gas pumps, which means quick stops with minimal waiting, and the store has a great selection of hot snacks, cold snacks, drinks, nachos, and those delicious Cinnabon cinnamon rolls that are hard to pass up! Seriously, NOBODY can beat Maverik on the snack situation. As my grandpapa used to say, "if they don't have it it, you don't need it." The fountain and bottled sodas, milkshakes, juices, water, energy drinks...the variety is crazy and there's something for everyone. One of the best features is the outdoor picnic area with tables and beautiful mountain views, a perfect spot to stretch your legs, relax, and enjoy a quick meal before getting back on the road. This is a convenient, comfortable stop that makes traveling through Utah even better.

The bathrooms were pretty gnarly with toilet paper on the floors and paper towels spilling over the receptacles. The stall doors opened inward, forcing me to waddle backward over the toilet just to get in and close the door. No paper towels to dry my hands with, and my husband said the men's bathrooms weren't much better. There was a small gift section (yay!) with Utah themed keychains, magnets, and shot glasses. There is a section set aside for truck drivers to freshen up. Basic snacks and drinks and about what you would expect for pricing. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

When I went into the Sinclair to explain my problem and show them the fuel we pulled out of the tank and my receipt clearly showing diesel fuel the employee named "Doug" was very rude and proceeded to yell at me and refused to give me the owners phone number so I could get the issue solved. This isn't the first time someone has gotten bad fuel from this gas station. The customer service was absolutely terrible, their employees need to be trained on how to treat customers and put more pride into their work. So we decided not to risk it and stop in for gas, bathroom break, and of course Slurpees. WOW! Is almost all I have words for. I walked into the store and it felt as though I'd walked into a porta potty that had been forgotten many weeks ago. The restroom was disgusting, broken soap dispensers labeled as "sanitizer" and broke toilet and everything around the restroom was filthy. My wife said the women's restroom wasn't any better. The rest of the store was pretty run down feeling too. And over half their slurpee flavors weren't working. So we grab a soda instead and got to the car only to realize it was maybe 1% carbonation and 99% flat over sugared flavors. This 7-Eleven might've gotten us home by selling what we can only hope is gas. ;) But everything else screams run away and go to a different gas station if you can help it.
