Above all, Mr James (who I guess is the manager at this location) adds a feeling of warmth that can change a moody day into a sunny one by greeting the customers with a large smile and his friendly personality. So far, this is the best Race Trac location I've encountered and I deliberately chose it, even when I have to go a little out of my convenience to get there, just for the overall experience.

I popped in on my way out of Rex and while I didn't need a refill on my gas tank, I did on my coffee cup! When I walked in I was greeted by the gas station attendant immediately who was friendly and welcoming. Overall, this is a nice addition to this area that otherwise does not offer a whole lot. Service was good, the store is clean, well kept and in good condition from the inside out. Not that I am in Rex often, but on the off chance I happen to head down 675 again, I at least know this Valero and DD will be waiting for me!

First it has a Dunkin Donuts which seems to serve breakfast all day because I got a Beyond sausage breakfast sandwich at 2:30 in the afternoon. The second food option is a Subway. Of course inside the Valero there are many snack options like fresh fruit and a large selection of beverages. The store is really clean and this is definitely a gas station that I will be visiting more often

Murphy USA is a chain of low-cost gas stations mostly located next to Walmart stores. This is…read moreMurphy store #7073 and it's actually located on North Berkeley Lake Road, not Pleasant Hill Road (the station has a Pleasant Hill Road street address). It's not far from where the two roads intersect. The gas here was CHEAP. I filled up on premium for $3.049 per gallon while the catty-corner RaceTrac was selling premium for $3.259. Murphy's regular was $2.549 while RaceTrac's was $2.759. Why is the gas at RaceTrac $0.21 more? I know one difference is RaceTrac and most other big name brands offer Top Tier Detergent gasoline. Murphy doesn't. The station is small. It isn't as nice nor as spacious and comfortable as a RaceTrac or QuikTrip. There are only 8 pumps on the lot and it can get congested. The convenience store is tiny. They do have a restroom for customer use and it's located outside (a single unisex restroom). There's an ATM on-site as well as a pay-machine with air for your tires and a vacuum if you want to clean your car. Diesel fuel is available. The displays on the pumps can be hard to read. They're also a bit confusing. They show two prices for each grade of fuel: a "discount price" and an unlabeled, higher price. I assumed you got the discount price if you used a special Walmart or Murphy USA card or something. I didn't use a special card and I still got the discounted price. What's the point of showing two prices then? To show that you've saved money? What's the non-discounted price based on? Unlike RaceTrac and QuikTrip, this station is not open 24/7. If gas is all you need and you don't mind potentially battling for a pump, Murphy USA fits the bill.

The station has been here as long as I can remember and even though its sorta tucked away-it's not facing a main road or near the highway it can get quite busy at times. They recently remodeled the outside and now they all have brand new pumps, credit card swipers and gas station TV! Hurray. There are two entrances to this station. If you turn in where the U-Haul/Public storage place is just be careful because it's sort of a u-shaped turn. You can also turn in to the station by where the Arnold Mill Commercial Center Marquee is located. That's the entrance I recommend. If you want to get back on Main Street. No need to go back up on Arnold Mill Road where the light by the railroad track takes forever. Just go up to Dobbs Road (Woodstock Woodworks is at the corner) Stay on Dobbs and it dead ends onto Mainstreet. If you make a left-you can get back out to highway 92 (but you have to drive thru 25 mph downtown historic Woodstock) If you make a right you can go up to the next light ( Ridgewalk Parkway) Turn left there and it'll take you straight on out to 575. 1165th review 1/16/2018 85th for 2018
