The place is big ,a great spot for a quick break got plenty of options for a quick bite. If you want food from the kitchen gotta get it when it comes out ,food sits under hot lights with no water to keep it from drying out ,beans get dry n hard and they just stir it and serve it not a great taste. Staff is hit and miss some are friendly and will greet ya.others rather talk amongst themselves and wait for you to call them . Have e trucker parking and diesel which is nice for them . Ok first walking into the store at 7am it smelled like bad fish and old soup. They have a wide selection. For anyone who is looking for the good chewy ice. THEY GOT It!! Things were great until the very rude and argumentative cashier. I was buying something and asked if they could give me a couple dollars in quarters back. The cashier said "we don't do that", I made a comment that I had never had a gas station tell me that. Well his comment was "Well I guess it just happened today." With an attitude. Omg!!! I've stopped in a couple Tex best .... This one in Three Rivers.... truly upsetting. On This busy holiday travel weekend... pls ramp up the staffing.... Kid u not, line to ladies bathroom was a mile long. The "do not come in sign due to cleaning" was up. We waited. 3 minutes, 6 minutes. Counted 13 ladies that had to leave w crying children that had to go BAD. Senior ladies accompanied by family almost in tears cuz they too had to go bad and feared and accident. After 16 minutes I walked in to find one gal checking her hair in the mirror and another older lady slowly wiping down a sink all while carrying on a conversation w the other. Tex Best do better. The older lady was down right rude and insulting and had no regard for any patron in line. The younger one literally said "go some place else" Didn't even deserve one star, but I had to chose one to proceed. Pls spread this and get it to their head quarters. I do have to say, I've stopped at the one in Alice numerous times and never have I had an experience like this one. read more

We were told by the clerk that "masks don't work." Both clerks argued with us. We did not initiate this. We had only asked that she use the scanner gun to scan our one item rather than touch it. This caused them to become confrontational and to begin talking about masks. We didn't even bring this up. Don't go here if you want to be treated well and/or you care about public health. So there is a very rude guy part of the management his name is Moses .... I am going to tell the story ... yesterday I went by stop there and got potatoes wedges a burger and 2 corn dogs and coffe .... So first the the kitchen people its all confused and don't get help by the management ... when the guy gave the food he only gave me 1 corndog and I ask for the second one then manager Moses heard me and ask me out-loud directly "did you pay for it ? " I said yes and he ask the cashier out loud did he paid for it then he ask the cook all this in front of many other customers ... I didn't say nothing because I don't act the fools I am not like him I like to use my head. But it was embarrassing some how. But i can say it here I was charged a 24 oz coffe on a 20 oz and a bottle from 1.89 to 2.09 You all can keep that change as tip and hire professionals and more educated people. This is one of those places that I have to stop weather I'm going or coming from San Antonio. I love that they have such a variety of different necessities for your road trip. Weather it's food, a cold beverage, pastries, or just a plain old pit stop. There deli is always cranking out different types of food items. They even have fresh homemade tortillas which is a plus when it comes to ordering a breakfast taco or just a good old fajita taco. There dining place has a good number of tables where you can sit down after a long road trip and enjoy your deli pick. They do offer a big variety of cold beverages and some pastries that for the most part are fresh. read more

Becky the cashier is super rude. Never coming back here again. I bought 6 items and she asked if i wanted a bag and i said "yes please" & she looked bothered that she had to put everything in the bag and threw the bag towards me. I still told her thank you since im not that rude of a person. But if shes going to be helping or charging customers, i believe they should make the customers feel welcomed. read more

I travel every week and this is my favorite store to stop. The staff are friendly. The kitchen staff could use some help in that department but they have never been rude. It does get packed especially in the weekend but there is plenty of staff to take care of us. read more
