    Watermark Restoration

    Watermark Restoration

    (1 review)

I had an interesting experience with Watermark Restoration. The Watermark team is doing major…read moreconstruction to the building, apparently from June of last year (2020) according to what was heard from Steve. The lack of respect I received from Steve was beyond unprofessional. I walked through an area that apparently was off limits. I had seen another resident just come from there, so I followed through the hallway to see what construction had been taking so long. Steve was saying something on the phone, then apparently to me, but he didn't have a mask and was far too close for my comfort while I wore my mask. I don't know you or who you have been around. Show some respect. I proceeded to walk past him as he attempted to partially block my path to the outside. I moved around him and proceeded out the door without saying anything. I'm not going to stop and talk to someone mask-less while I am wearing my mask. I figured there would be some respect to keep your distance, but I was mistaken. Bothered by the rudeness of this individual, I approached Steve as we passed in the hallway later in the day. I was going to call corporate to ask what was wrong with Steve. Was he having a bad morning? Why did he cut my path off to tell me some random information when he isn't affiliated to anyone except Watermark? Is this the same people that didn't perform a proper clean-up and left debris and nails everywhere for me to have to avoid with my service animal? Put up signs. I don't know your staff. I don't know you. And getting in my way when I am leaving isn't acceptable. I ask for Steve's name. He looks me up and down. He asks my name. I give him it. I ask for his name because I wouldn't be the kind of person that is too scared to give a name and then insult. He denies to give it to me. I tell him he was rude this morning and I want his name to call Watermark. Steve has the incredibly laughable audacity to say he saw me abusing my service animal on the leash. This is, for lack of a better term, beyond pathetic. This 'professional' wouldn't give me his name yet tries to tell me I am abusing my animal while doing a tug training. An accuser with non-factual information is called a liar. Liars have no place in the professional world. So, I didn't get his name. But, I knew it was Steve from calling my property manager to tell them of this situation. I call out to Steve two more times as he walks away. I go to the office, get Watermarks number for someone that might understand professionalism, to which I got Peter. Peter is the southeast manager of Watermark, according to what he told me. I told Peter of the situation, admittedly frustrated that I had to be more professional than whatever Steve is striding for. Peter hears my side. I ask him to explain what is wrong with Steve, and Peter tells me he has to call to get everyone's story. I ask for him to clarify what I had just said because Peter had just asked about something pertaining to the timeline of events. He says he has all the information. I ask him to repeat it. Peter tells me that 'I seem like I like to argue.' This is beyond wrong. I expect professionalism. And if there is no professionalism, there is accountability. He repeats the wrong information back to me, then proceeds to attempt to correct what I am saying. Once again, I have to be more professional than whoever Watermark is trying to be. We hang up. Peter calls me back and tells me the stories are too different, and that Steve has been told to steer clear of my path. Honestly, I was expecting this judging by the treatment I received. No apology for being a coward. Nothing. Go find someone else to do your contracting and construction needs. Honesty is slipping here. Remember, I had to remain professional even when I definitely did not want to. I expect you and your team to do the same. Edit: Steve decided to apologize today. I only accepted it after we went over his insult that was a blatant lie. The world needs to realize that there are some people that will see this society become better. Accountability is where it starts.
