It is very basic. To say the least. That being said I could not believe how popular it gets. Few…read moreweeks ago there was no way to park without cruising around for half an hour. Male changing rooms were still meh. I mean they were cleaner than I saw them 6 years ago, but still had plenty of broken lockers. If you plan on having a quick shower before or after pool (customary in certain jurisdictions as the human body perspires no matter what you do, pool water has chlorine and some other chemicals to keep it clean and disinfected) there is no way to do it . Shower by the locker room just sprays odd mist at you for half a second from weirdly positioned not adjustable most tiny shower head, the ones closer to the door exit although have better shower heads just spray foul smelling water of unpleasant temperature on you for 1.5 seconds, so I guess if you want to wash hair you'd have to hold the button with your...knee... I know we need to conserve water, but I see new car washes popping up all the time, so I doubt it is the major concern. Kiddie pool is nice for toddlers. The rest is not impressive. Floating area is too tiny for the crowd, water temperature is disagreeable. Actual swimming pool had no room for any swimmers, it is more if you prefer to swim "Soda Springs style", which has nothing in common with swimming, people just socialize being soaked in water. I'd want to see a city size of Pocatello to have a decent community swimming pool, larger in size than the one at the Community Recreation Center, but I'd not hold my breath. First order of business should be, perhaps, to make tennis players adore lighter version of it called pickleball, then switch the baseball players to weaker version of the sport called wiffleball. With all the simplifying and redefining this generation may not win too many wars that are not imaginary. An extra star is for Splash for Dogs event, where at the end of the season they'd allow you to bring a dog and let the dog swim in the pool. One of my dogs seemed to enjoy it, although we did left early as swim diapers for pets were not enforced and I saw way too many other canines defecating in the water.
