I soils have walked out, but I was desperate for a trim. This place is very unsanitary. it was obvious that the hair on the floor hadn't been swept after multiple clients. the chair was covered in hair and no attempt was made to clean it off. There was a pile of scissors with hair on them laying on t he counter, along with combs. The barber sneezed in her hand and never stopped working. I just pray I don't get some kind of skin disorder. read more

Mike at Teton Barber did an amazing job on my son's first haircut! He used to cut my husband's hair as well so it was a special experience! He was skilled, gentle, and quick. My little guy can be intolerant but barely noticed Mike's ministrations and came out looking great! read more

I went into Teton Barbers for a haircut a few days ago. I had spent four months growing my hair out for this specific haircut. I showed them a picture of what I wanted but it came out nothing like how I asked. It's way too long on top and super short on the sides. The lady who cut my hair was friendly though. I prefer my hair "shaggy but not unkept " This haircut makes me look about 10 years older and like I'm a sergeant in the military. I'm so disappointed because usually I have had a great experience here. but it tends to be one of the only barbershops in town that know what they're doing. read more

This place is terrible, nobody knows how to cut hair there. I walked in, asking for a fade and the stupid lady starts doing whatever she wanted with my head. I'm very unsatisfied with my haircut. never will come here ever again! read more

Been getting haircuts here for 33 years! Great cuts and atmosphere. Friendly barbers too. read more

I dropped in for a haircut at Teton Barber yesterday. Ashley was such a pro and gave me a fabulous haircut! I showed her photos of what I wanted and she delivered. And SO incredibly affordable! Many, many thanks! read more

I just found this little shop a few years ago and I've noticed a whole new crew of barbers within the last year, I gotta say it's been pretty great to come here and get a good cut and mingle with the barbers. Music is good too. I've had consistent cuts and they are great with suggestions on new cuts. read more

I stopped in while vacationing in Jackson at the end of May. The city had just opened up 1-2 weeks prior.. My only beef with the place was the long wait. When I entered I asked if I needed an appointment and the barbers responded "No" and they would take me soon. What they neglected to mention was that an appointment is recommended as there were quite a few people already booked and I would be squeezed in. I ended waiting about 45 minutes - I wouldn't have stuck around if I had known that ahead of time. Anyway, the haircut was good - first one in 6 weeks - and the barber was very nice. Though tough to practice social distancing (not that it mattered to me), they did wear masks and did a thorough cleaning between customers. The cost for just a cut was a bit high, but not unreasonable for the Wuhan virus situation. I do recommend them for a good clean haircut. read more

I was visiting from Los Angeles to hit the cliffs of Jackson Hole (yewww!). I decided to stop in for a haircut and was delighted with the place. Tanya did a fantastic job (my girlfriend can attest) and we had an absolutely delightful conversation. She gave me fantastic recommendations on things to do, restaurants to eat at, etc. on top of a Grade A cut. Thanks Tanya! read more

We were visiting on vacation and my sons were in desperate need for haircuts, one more than the other due to quarantine. We searched on yelp, found Teton Barbers and they had appointments for both of them the same day. Justin and Debbie did a great job on both of them. Very friendly, conversational and skilled. Highly recommend read more

I've been here several times since moving to Jackson with variable results, but kept coming back due to convenience. After today I will not be returning. The person cutting my hair stopped to check their phone every few minutes, and had me facing away from the mirror the whole time so I couldn't tell what was happening. I eventually had to ask to be turned around because I could tell they were going far shorter than I had requested. I'm sure they could see the frustration on my face because they finished up and failed to ask if I liked it, instead ushering me to pay and leave quickly. Spend your money elsewhere, I will never go here again. read more

TLDR; We do not recommend. Mike cut my boyfriends long hair off, cut his neck w the razor multiple times to where he bled, did not listen to what he wanted and still charged full price for a bad cut/experience. My boyfriend went there for a haircut. He wanted the sides faded 0-1 (he has long hair at the top which he explicitly told Mike to NOT cut) and his med length beard cut into a gotee and cleaned with a razor. Mike did not deliver at all. First off, he cut the sides like my boyfriend wanted but then 1. proceeded to use the straight edge razor to the back and sides (which he didn't want- therefore charging him $25 for a full razor cut when he ONLY wanted his beard cleaned up w the razor NOT his head). 2. Mike butchered his baby hairs on the left side and left them on the right side so now it looks funny; He specifically told him to use scissors to even them out bc he wanted to keep them. 3. He missed hair behind his ear and on his neck. 4. He CUT my boyfriends neck THREE times with the dull razor. He literally left bleeding on his neck and mike played it off as a joke. And 5, if that couldn't get worse he cut a lock of my boyfriends beautiful long hair off- which we didn't see until later when he took his ponytail down. 6. He charged my boyfriend $38 - $13 for the actual haircut and $25 for the straight edge razor haircut. My boyfriend wanted a regular haircut along with his beard cut/trimmed then cleaned with the razor. My boyfriend is a sweet nice person who doesnt like trouble so he did not say anything to him, just paid the price and tipped him on top. I am writing this review because I want people to know about our horrible experience. Even though Mike was nice, for cutting hair for "30-something years" he did my boyfriend wrong by completing messing his head up, leaving hair, cutting his neck three times to where it was bleeding and cutting off a lock of his long hair. And not that it matters but we drove over an hour to have this traumatizing experience. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Teton Barber Shop. Next time we are in Jackson we will find a different barber. read more

Went in for a haircut because The Whiskey Barber is closed on Mondays and I shouldn't have. Sub par all the way around, barber did not say a single word clearly not paying attention to what she was doing. Did not ask how I wanted my sideburns and didn't trim them evenly. Did not even turn the chair around to see if I liked the cut at the end. Bad experience and I will not be returning. read more

Too busy of a barbershop to give a quality haircut. Waited for 30+ minutes only to receive a sub par buzz cut. She missed obvious spots on my head, so I asked her to go over it, again. She did so, but with a clipper shorter than my haircut! Like lawn mower tracks! Now, I'm going to another barber to fix what should have been done right the first time. Waste of time, money, and energy. Go anywhere, else. Ended up heading over to The Whiskey Barber and they cleaned it all up for no charge. T.W.B. will have my business, moving forward, and I recommend everyone else check them out, too. read more

Giving this place 2 stars because they do a decent hair cut but everything else about the experience was horrid. You can't call in and book an appointment bc the employees joke about just letting it go to voicemail. They also won't do a beard trim unless your one of their good ol boy clients. Literally watched them say screw it to the mask mandate but if other customers want the same treatment your SOL. Wait was over 1.5 hours and going to the barbershop is suppose to be a relaxing experience. Good joke! read more

This was not the best experience but also not the worst. I asked for a fade going from a 1 at the neck line to a 6 on top. The lady seemed inexperienced with fades and it definitely showed. I was left with visibly blunt lines on the sides of my head, not blended/faded very well at all. Around my ears were white walled almost to bare skin and my neck line was crooked. I gave 2 stars only because the lady was very friendly and the conversation was decent but I will not be repeat customer. read more

I've been going to Teton Barbers for many years with great success but I'd never been seen by Cindy. Cindy only works there two days a week (Thursday & Friday I believe) and if you can get in to see her, I highly recommend you try her out. Not only is she Cindy great conversationalist, she gave me the best haircut I've had in a very long time. Even thought there were others waiting to be seen, she took the time to make sure I was very happy with the cut which was important because I was leaving for my anniversary weekend the next day. My wife even mentioned how nice I looked. My only regret was not tipping her more (20% is just a habit...), but I think a gift certificate to my favorite restaurant in town will more than make up for it. Thanks for a great haircut Cindy! P.S. Even if Cindy is not available, all the barbers here are really good and you can't go wrong with any of them. Till next time...Cheers! read more

Teton Barbers is a classic barber shop where you can get a good hair cut at a great value compared to everywhere else in the valley. You also get a good inside view of things from the barbers who have spent much time in Jackson. The interior is clad in reclaimed weathered barnwood which gives it a western feel. I go here regularly because I can just walk in without an appointment (although you can also make an appointment if desired), because it's fast, and because the prices are really good ($13 for a men's haircut...it's usually twice as much at other places). I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because depending I've gotten slightly variable results sometimes but it's typically fantastic and the value+speed+convenience make it the place for me. read more

Walked in, not greeted. Neither were the 2 people that walked in after. No smiles. The girl that cut my sons hair was extremely unpleasant and uncommunicative. She only talked to one of the other guys working. When explaining how my son gets his hair cut she hardly acknowledged leaving us unsure if she understood. When we thought it was our turn (there was a bit of a line) she didn't acknowledge us, got on her phone, walked around for a bit, back on her phone etc. we don't mind if breaks are needed, not being acknowledged and not having any idea how much longer it's going to be after already waiting 40 min was the issue. A simple I will be right with you or 20 more min. Anything would have been helpful. There is a very sweet dog that hangs out here, but each chair is full of dog hair and now I'm leaving full of dog hair. Place is not clean or friendly. read more

Unbelievably rude. I'm not normally one to leave bad reviews but this was ridiculous. We just took our 2 year old son to get a haircut, and after waiting 30 minutes one of the ladies took him to her chair. It was 11:55 and she said "we are going to have to hurry I have an appt coming at 12" if she didn't have time or patience to cut a 2 year olds hair, then she shouldn't have taken us to her chair. She acted annoyed while we got him situated, then her 12pm appt walked him and she says "are you so and so?" To which her appt confirmed. She then said "oh thank God you saved me" and proceeded to ask us to wait for the next stylist to be free. Then she said "he's gonna have to act better than that if you want us to cut his hair". With that comment, we just decided to leave. I'm sorry our 2 year old isn't as calm as the grown adult client you had at noon. If children aren't welcome here then you should say something before you made us wait for 30 minutes. If you are in Jackson hole and need a child's haircut, steer clear of this place. read more

I visited Jackson Hole for Veterans Day weekend. It was off season. The staff were just friendly and very humorous. I waited for a while but it did not feel like the wait was long because I laughed so much. Dave was the air cutter and he was awesome. I highly recommend this place if you want a haircut AND you should come very relaxed. Even if you are in a bad mood, the staff would make an effort to cheer you up. read more

Come here every summer during my stay in Jackson Hole. What I always do during my haircut is to close my eyes and keep quiet. I enjoyed a lot listening to the customers (mostly Teton county residents) talking to the barbers. This is the kind of conversation you would expect in a small town. Cost $16 for a men's buzz and cash only. read more

Very easy to locate. Plenty of parking in front or around the corner. Absolutely had no wait. They even advised me of their later hours on Wednesdays for the 9-5 workers. Great conversation and a haircut with no flaws. They don't accept cards which I was aware of with prior internet reviews so I made sure to have cash on hand. Such a pleasant and knowledgeable staff! 5 Star experience read more

I had high hopes going into this barbershop. The reviews looked great and people had lots of nice things to say about their services... but, this was one of the worst haircut experiences I have ever received. My wife and I had just moved to Jackson and I needed a haircut for my brother's wedding this weekend. I specifically mentioned to the lady that was cutting my hair, that I would like to keep the length on top without a trim, and just touch up the sides a bit. I wanted to grow out my hair in the front and on top so that I could style it how I used to. This was supposed to be a really quick cut and fairly easy. She started out by spraying my hair down and getting it damp as usual, and before I knew what she was doing, she grabbed a pair of scissors and cut off a solid inch on top. I highly doubt she was giving me a bad haircut on purpose, but she constantly did the exact opposite of what I asked her to. And when I wanted a correction made, she let me know that she knew how best to make my hair. Trust me, I know how I wanted my own hair. By the end of the haircut, I realized that she had given me the exact haircut as the gentleman that sat in the chair before me. It seems that she only knew how to give one type of haircut. It was not horribly cut and uneven, it was just not at all what I had requested and wanted from a place whose reputation I trusted. I do not think I'll be visiting this place again. read more

Some locals, some tourists and all were welcome. Friendly place and a great haircut too.

It is possible to get a great haircut at this barbershop or a really bad one. I live in Jackson part-time and Boston part time. I have discovered that the barbers to get are Debbie, Cindy, or Patty. Sit and wait if you have to. Any one of those are great. WARNING: Avoid the male barbers and the woman to the right that talks non-stop. One of the fellows cut my hair, old guy, and he was a hack. I told him what I wanted and he just ignored what I said. Had the same experience with the older woman that talks without ceasing. She seemed like she was rushing through the haircuts as fast as she could and when I wanted to mention one thing to her about my cut, I couldn't because she kept talking about her daughter and son who I care nothing about. I wanted a good haircut. read more

I hate to post a negative review of a place that people seem to like, but I can't say that I felt the woman who served me here did a very good job. She completely disregarded my wishes regarding length and I ended up with a much, much shorter haircut than I indicated I wanted. It certainly ended up much shorter than I prefer. I don't know if she simply misunderstood me or disagreed with what might look best on me, but I won't be returning to find out. read more

Stopped in here while on vacation last week, my son was growing tired of his mohawk and needed it shaved down. Very generous and easy, I'd go here and pay if I lived here. Thank you!! read more
