This was some of the best food we had while in Spain. We started with the Labneh and hummus with pita. It was super yummy. Labneh had some olive oil and lemon and the hummus had a paprika oil. We were a table of six and everyone loved their dish. I had the Chicken Pastille and my mother had the moussaka. Both were served simply, but were very filling and absolutely delicious. My daughter had the chicken curry and thought it was amazing and my other daughter had the chicken skewers and seemed very pleased with her dish. I was lurking around Seville trying to get a drink and stumbled upon Tetería Al Sultan. Got a strong whiff of hookah (that's how you know the place is legit) and sat down for some ginger tea. They made me a special batch and I couldn't get enough of it. I also got a orange, apple, green juice which turned out to be huge, refreshing and healthy, so I took the remaining home for later. read more

Fantastic Andalusian dining experience. Menu was full of foods with Morrocan influences as well as inventive dishes unique to this restaurant such as the Qalala. Great little gem in town! I was starving one day and everything was closed and didn't look appealing but I saw this spot walking earlier in the day and wanted to check it out. Got the hummus and lamb kebob with rice. We also started with some babagnoosh. Amazing quality and the presentation was fabulous. I've never had such a tender lamb kebob in my life! Hummus was perfect, only wish I had more. They were so generous and talked to us for a bit when we were trying to get to know the city. They are definitely a great quality space. Even though you may want to commit to a full Spanish experience, you have to try this one night for dinner because it's a great date spot that is far more intimate and intricate than Spanish tapas. Definitely not Lebanese, because the Lebanese are very welcoming people. This poor excuse for a middle eastern restaurant, we were silently seated and then ignored for the next 15 minutes...no water, no bread, no cocktails, no waiter! While on a 10 week visit to Seville from California, we were craving something other than the tapas local to Seville. The craving was especially strong after visiting Morocco on a 4 day side trip. One day while out walking towards the Alameda, we passed Al Sultán and decided to give it a try. We enjoyed several appetizers, including stuffed grape leaves, stuffed eggplants, hummus, and a large and beautiful mixed salad. The food and the mint Moroccan Tea was all so fragrant and delicious. We knew we would have to come back, and so today, on our last day here in Spain, we stopped in for a goodbye meal. Today we had an appetizer made from roasted red peppers, walnuts, and olive oil served with warm flat bread. For the entree, my husband had a lamb dish served over fluffy rice. Our waiter, Alejandro, brought it to the table, and poured a creamy sauce all over the rice and meat. It looked so good, I wished I had ordered it. That was until I saw my chicken tajin, and knew I would be equally pleased with my choice. The chicken was so tender, the broth so subtly spiced with pleasing flavors, that I ate every bit. Alejandro checked in with us throughout the meal to make sure we had everything we needed. We felt very welcomed and that made the meal even more enjoyable. The only unfortunate part of this meal was that I had no room left for dessert. I recommend Al Sultán to anyone wanting a change of flavor while in Seville. Provecho! read more

Fantastic place. It is two rooms joined. One is the restaurant and the other room is the Shisha room. We had an amazing dinner on the restaurant side. The flavours are delicious, and the service was excellent. After we finished dinner, we went to the Shisha (Hooka in English) and had Turkish coffee, dessert, and then Smoked a sisha (Apple flavour) for the firs time in our lives. Our server and the owner were so attentive. We highly recommend this place for dinner and, if you want to try a wonderful new adventure, the sisha smoking as well. read more
