I spent over a year studying on my own with Gregmat, Magoosh, Kaplan and ETS PowerPrep and I just wasn't getting anywhere as far as progress goes. It felt like there were too many videos to watch, too many areas to study and I felt overwhelmed and unmotivated. At 38 years old, the last math class I had taken was over 15 years ago, so it was a pain relearning all the math they test on Quant. Andrew broke down which areas were not tested as often and let the class know which topics to study on their own (due to class time restraints) if they were trying to score 320 and higher, which I very much appreciated. I only need a 290 for a program that requires that for admissions. The first GRE I took in August, 2025 was 279 (141V, 138Q) with practice tests ranging in the 270-280's. Today, I scored 294 (147V, 147Q), with practice tests ranging from 289-302. I studied 3-6 hours a day, 4-6 times a week (homework included) for two months to obtain this score, which I am very happy with. I'm sure I could have scored higher if I studied a bit more and did more homework. If you are thinking about taking their prep course, take the next step and make that investment because it is totally worth it!!!!! read more

TestCrackers completely changed my GRE experience, especially thanks to Yuri (Quant) and Seth (Verbal). I worked with TestCrackers for over a year, primarily through small-group tutoring, and I cannot recommend the program highly enough. I came into GRE prep from a humanities background and had historically struggled with quant. Math had never felt intuitive or comfortable for me, and I truly never imagined I could perform well on the Quant section of the GRE. He took the time to get to know me, truly believed in me, and pushed me to do better in a way that made me feel capable rather than intimidated. He often went over time, not because he had to, but because he wanted to help more. It was clear his motivation came from a place of real care and generosity. To put my progress in context: my first Manhattan diagnostic was a 151 in Quant, and my first official PowerPrep test was a 144. I ultimately ended with a 163 in Quant on my exam. At the time, I didn't even know if meaningful improvement was possible for me. With Yuri's guidance, I not only improved significantly, but gained the confidence to apply to MBA programs that once felt completely out of reach. Seth was equally impactful on the Verbal side. His guidance completely changed how I approached the section strategically. I still hear him asking, "Is this 100% provable?" in my head during verbal questions, which helped me stay disciplined and precise on test day. One of the biggest breakthroughs from Seth's teaching was learning to let go of certain science passages and instead focus my time and energy on passages I knew I could get right, a strategy that made a huge difference. I started with a 153 in Verbal and finished with a 161. Thanks to Seth's emphasis on error logs, thoughtful review, and strategic prioritization, my Verbal score improved dramatically. I consistently reviewed session notes, maintained a detailed error log, and applied his frameworks throughout the exam. I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Yuri and Martin for helping me with GRE quant. I had been prepping for the GRE for a few months on my own for business school, and was stuck in a plateau - as much as I wanted, I couldn't get my GRE quant score out from the 155 range during my practice tests. After taking the official GRE and realizing that I was still stuck in this range, I googled best GRE courses and TestCrackers quickly came to the top of my list. From the moment I texted Yuri, I knew I was in good hands. Yuri was responsive and free to chat with me the day I texted him, which I appreciated given how anxious I was. We talked through not only the TestCrackers quant course basics, but also about myself as a test taker and applicant. Yuri was extremely patient and kind, taking extra time to share his perspective on my score and what he knew from his experience helping others in my position. Speaking of timing... I appreciated how upfront Martin was with the GRE. One of the things I struggled the most with the quant session is knowing when to "skip" a problem and move on, and felt like I had to do every problem like I would with other tests. Martin showed me how to think about this differently, the importance of the "skip" strategy, and gave me the tools to figure out which were my skips. Once I unlocked this skill, I started to notice a definite improvement in my scores! All in all - I am very grateful for the TestCrackers team. I took GMAT Verbal with Isaac on Sundays recently and had a great experience. As an instructor, he's very patient and really engages each person in class to guide them through problems while addressing all questions pertaining to the immediate class topics as well as the actual test and how best to succeed. Yuri is a total lifesaver! I hadn't touched math in 10 years and was freaking out about the EA for my MBA apps. Well, I could give 10 stars if there was an option. I started my journey for B-school prep and application relatively late and came across the stumbling block - The exam prep. I was referred to Testcrackers by one of my friend who was in the last year of his MBA program at that time. I didn't want to waste much time, so I called up the number he provided immediately and to my surprise Yuri picked up the call even though it was a late Friday evening. He was very honest with me and provided me guidelines to set the expectations. I enrolled right away - Fortunately, there was a new batch which was going to start the next week. I took both Verbal and Quant courses which were with Isaac, along with an optional (but very important and helpful) small group tutoring session run by Seth. 7 weeks of Quant course (6 weeks for me, since I took EA) and 5 weeks of Verbal course are the well thought and well planned courses. This includes the prep for IR (Integrated Reasoning) section as well which is crucial for EA exams. I enjoyed every bit of Isaac and Seth's classes, which were very interactive and keep you interested all the time. I also enjoyed the study materials and homework problems, which are very systematic to go along with the weekly lessons and if you complete those on time, you are well set for a decent score in your exams. The main highlight is that they also prepare you on how to take the exams - They have some amazing strategies to optimize your results. The strategies differ for different exams. I prepared for 3 and a half months (including Testcrackers courses) before taking the exam and got a pretty decent score. Got admitted to Berkeley Haas EMBA program within the next couple of months after going through the application process and interviews. Overall I'm really happy that I chose Testcrackers during my journey and very glad to have met Isaac, Seth and Yuri. If you are planning to take the test and wondering where to start, this is the place. I'm pretty sure it'll totally be worth as I've discovered myself. read more

Going into my first GRE with my only preparation being that I was a math major, I thought I would do fine, I did but not as well as I thought I could. That's when I decided to take the GRE more serious and reached out to TestCrackers. The strategies that I learned from Yuri were very intuitive and easier to learn than most of the concepts on the test themselves. I've never done math quite like I did at TestCrackers. After taking the class and some studying after, my quant score went up by 5 points! Other than just the test prep, the tutors at TestCrackers care a lot about their students and you can tell they are passionate about their job, which I thought made the classes much more engaging and sometimes even fun :) . I've been meaning to write this review for ages. While preparing to apply to business school this past summer, I decided to re-take the GMAT. I last took it in December 2019, and scored sub-700. With the schools I planned to apply to, and the always present hope to earn a scholarship, it wasn't going to cut it. I'd taken the GMAT twice before, so I was familiar with the test and didn't think a GMAT course would be the right fit for me. I'd gotten to the point I was at with self-study and the online Manhattan Prep portal, so what I was looking for was someone to diagnose my specific issues and help me problem solve. So I signed up for private tutoring, and started sessions with Seth. I'd read testimonials on the TestCrackers site, and while my overall score didn't improve as fast as those, I did start improving at quant right away. (Turns out Manhattan Prep and I have communication issues on verbal). On my last practice test before retaking, I scored my first 700. I went into test day feeling strong, and for the first time, scored higher than anything I'd gotten on my practice tests. FANTASTIC. Private tutoring is expensive, even compared to the high costs of a lot of GMAT course offerings, but in this case definitely worth it. Seth helped me work out the issues with the way I had been studying and the way I had been approaching my practice tests and timed sets. We went over particular subjects I could improve upon easily (think sentence correction and some quant subjects), tried to work on areas I JUST CAN'T GET consistently (work/rate problems), and in the end, it all paid off. I originally selected this GMAT prep course based on the excellent Yelp reviews and I am beyond thrilled I decided to go with TestCrackers. When I was in the consideration period, I called and Yuri spent about 20 minutes on the phone with me addressing all of my questions thoroughly. Thank you, Isaac, for everything. If you know anything about me, I never write reviews or recommend something unless I am totally sold on something. I struggled with the GMAT for literally 2 years (started studying Jun 2017) and I just got a 700 today! I went through the Manhattan books and the OG2018 and hovered around the low 600s. I was always around 47 for quant and 30 for verbal. Obviously, my problem was in verbal. I finally signed up for a class with TestCrackers in Dec 2018 after getting defeated in another GMAT exam. Isaac stayed with me afterwards and broke everything down in ~30 mins. That 30 mins changed my life. He broke all verbal down for me - the grammar, reading comp, and critical reasoning. How you underline, draw arrows, circle, box all the various parts of verbal to "re-train" your mind. Obviously it worked and come Monday I'm going to start applying for grad school. read more

These guys are great! After going through a different company in 2016, I was super skeptical going into another. But, I did my research, and I am SO glad I landed with TestCrackers in SF! These guys helped me improve my score over 100 points from my initial diagnostic to the final test day. I took my class with Seth. He will be there with you every step of the process -- after hours, emails, you name it! They'll also grant you access to videos to review on your own, which was super helpful. Seth helped break down the real strategy behind the test, whereas most other organizations will just teach you the concepts behind the material. But don't underestimate the value of knowing and practicing the strategy for test day. tldr: I cannot recommend TestCrackers highly enough. Isaac is the GOAT. Give that man a raise. I hate paying for study classes...I'm cheap and typically a good test taker. I DIY-ed for the CFA and thought I could do the same for the GMAT. My wife thought TestCrackers would help...so I reluctantly agreed and signed up for the Quant class. I took the GMAT twice. First time was right after I finished the class. I got a 690. I spent the next 6 months studying the material with the methods Isaac taught me. Took it again and got a 760. 70 point improvement. Like I said, Isaac is the GOAT and TestCrackers is 1000% percent worth every penny. read more

While I studied a little for the GRE before taking the course, it was always difficult to find motivation so I didn't see much improvement in my score. I decided to sign up for the GRE quant course with Marty - and I'm glad I did, because I ended up taking the GRE again this Wednesday (a couple weeks after the course ended) and got a full score of 170 in quant (for context I was getting around a 160-161 prior to the class)! I thought my quant section was harder than a lot of practices that I took but because Marty was very thorough in the examples, tips, and suggestions he provided, I was able to utilize the skills I learned in class to get the score that I wanted. Cannot recommend Marty or TestCrackers enough! :) The entire staff there was super helpful and kind, and they're all trying their best to help you succeed. read more

I found out about TestCrackers from Isaac's podcast "The GMAT Strategy". Listening to the podcast helped quite a bit (I attribute my essay score of 6 to the podcast); nevertheless, I reached out to TestCrackers to find a tutor to help me during one-on-one sessions to improve my score. I worked with Seth to improve my Verbal section score. Seth provided great strategies to improve my approach with Reading Comprehension, Sentence Correction, and Critical Reasoning. TestCrackers additionally provided helpful resources. Seth and I worked through problems, and I definitely improved my GMAT test-taking ability, core knowledge, and overall strategy under his direction. I was a two time GRE test taker. The first time around I studied using only Magoosh, an online learning tool. While I found this helpful in learning content, I often had lingering questions, uncertainty on topics, and no direction in studying. Testcrackers provides sound structure to GRE prep and excellent customer service in teaching and delivering their product. First off, our instructor Isaac Puglia excellent. He was very patient, engaging and kept the class enjoyable. He presented us the curriculum in a way that was fun and full of memorable axioms like "What is the number rule about exponents? 1. Use the rules" and "Do unto one side as you do to another". Further, he was a very relatable guy, which did not make the intellect seem like something not to be grasped. I especially loved that he cosigned grit as a key to success in the GRE. He made me believe it was about the effort put in and not talent, wit or intellect. Second, the staff around the instructor are all very helpful in adjusting for a student's needs. For example, I am a critical care nurse and have a sporadic schedule every week. When I spoke to Yuri about this he told me there would be no problem in either making up the class in person or online. They offer office hours every week where you can ask questions about the homework, concepts or whatever else. Overall, I would definitely recommend TC to anyone trying to boost their score quickly. They provide a structure that if you abide by you can improve your score significantly. Further, they provide it in a way that is fun, engaging and memorable. I still find myself singing "Its all about that base" working exponents. I boosted my score 11 points and above average in every percentile. Very happy with. Isaac always told us a 1 point increase is equivalent to 10 hours of study which is about what the curriculum provided for me. Only thing I would hope they come out with would be some sort of post-TC course option for students who wish to boost their score more. read more

I had originally signed up for another GMAT prep course without doing much research on what options were available in the Bay Area. The GMAT course was cancelled the week before it was supposed to start. Learning my lesson, I researched and found that TestCrackers was the most highly rated course (and for good reason!) in the Bay. I took the GMAT Verbal course with Isaac in the SF location. Classes were helpful with all the tips provided. And Isaac did a great job at keeping the class engaged. We were encouraged, but not pressured, to participate in class. And there was flexibility when I had to miss a class. All of the instructors really want to help out the students and they even offer to help beyond the initial classes. The best GMAT review course I've completed. The first course I attended some time ago only focused on improving my pacing by completing problems faster. That only helped me increase my score into the lowest acceptable score for competitive MBA programs. For a PhD program, you can't apply to any of the competitive programs without a minimum 700 score. The tips that both Anisa and Seth provided in class and the homework review sessions pushed me into that range. They taught me a better way to beat the algorithm scoring system and push well beyond any of my previous practice scores. As a perfectionist who needs to answer every single question, their techniques were difficult to embrace. Once I let go of my tendencies, their techniques worked for every practice test and the official practice tests from MBA.com were very close to my final official score. I recommend this review course without any hesitation. Knowing how to solve all the questions isn't enough unless you spend years mastering speed testing techniques. The tips here solved this issue within six months, but I had to continually practice and study during all this time to master the techniques provided by Anisa and Seth. read more

I took the GRE Quant prep course with Yuri at the Santa Clara location. This was the first prep course I had taken so I don't have much to compare to, however I can't imagine it gets better than this. The class sizes are small (under 15) and the course material provided offers a concise and accelerated curriculum specifically for the quantitative portion of the GRE. Yuri was extremely helpful and attentive and made sure the 3 hour classes were interactive and engaging with funny stories and jokes. I felt well-prepared with the homework assignments and feedback following the practice exams throughout the course. Perhaps the most helpful aspect of this course was Yuri's helpfulness outside of the course. After it had ended, Yuri made himself available over phone and email to help with any additional questions or advice in general for studying. After receiving mediocre scores my first time taking the GRE, he scheduled a phone call with me and laid out a study plan that got me back on my feet and increased my quant score 11 points the second time I took the GRE after just 20 days. I am writing this a bit late -- but better late than never! I took the GRE complete course in person prior to the pandemic. I was really anxious about taking the exam and was looking for guidance. I didn't come from much but my grandmother offered to pay for a GRE prep course. I did a lot of research and decided TestCrackers would be a great place for me. I was able to attend classes in the evening after work and study at times that worked for me. I scored above average on both sections and well above average on the writing portion of the exam. I knew going in what portions mattered most for the programs I was applying to, but was glad that by the end I had improved on all fronts. Their team made the classes approachable and the material easy to digest. It made me feel confident and excited about the test (and my future) rather than upset or overly stressed. I am so relieved I took this class because it helped immensely with my test taking strategy, timing, and confidence. I had been studying for the GRE on my own for about 3 months and wasn't seeing any substantial progress. I was getting frustrated and discouraged, and decided that signing up for a class was the only sure way to kick my studying up to the next level. Especially because I only had 2 months left to study and I only had time to take the GRE once. It was frantic cram time for me. I took the Quant class with Yuri and the Verbal class with Anisa. Both of them were extremely patient and thorough in their instruction; it almost felt like private tutoring. The class sizes are extremely small and intimate, so all your questions get answered and it's a highly interactive and participatory learning experience. They give practical and logical tips and tricks that are incredibly helpful when it comes to timed, standardized tests like the GRE. They know the test material very well and provide unique perspectives into test taking strategy that I was not able to find anywhere online or through my own study materials. As with most things in life, it's really what you make of it. If you go to every class, do the homework, and go to office hours, the price is completely worth it. I took the GRE verbal and quant classes with Isaac. At first I tried to study for this test on my own. However due to a lack of structure I became more confused regarding the material than before. Isaac and the team at TestCrackers lay out a weekly schedule that you can follow and this allows you to feel confident in your approach. Isaac was very helpful and makes the classes fun so that the 3 hours do not seem like a drag. Furthermore, the office hours with Yuri are great where you can go and get one on one help to address any problem areas. I will highly recommend anyone who is serious about improving their test scores to consider signing up for these classes. The GMAT quant + verbal classes are great courses if you are aiming for a 700+ score. But if you want to get to a 750+ score, you will need to invest in extra prep to get there. I had no exposure to the GMAT prior to this class and Isaac taught me the most important tidbits - how to strategize and how to tackle each question type. Testcrackers courses alone help me make a 60 pt increase! But in order to get the extra 40pt boost I wanted, I had to invest in a couple extra Manhattan prep books for areas that improvement. Isaac was really good about providing additional support after the courses were over! He provided helpful, personalized study tips when my score plateaued and also recommended additional prep books. Thanks to Isaac and a little help from Manhattan prep, I got 20 pts above my goal score in my first try! Isaac is a fantastic teacher. He is enthusiastic, funny, and great at cultivating an enjoyable learning environment for working adults. He makes a 3hr long class after work as fun as it could possibly be. Sometimes, I even looked forward to going to class! Testcrackers provides snacks and Isaac often brought treats of his own for us.
